I think Halo 4 was fun but I can understand why Classic Halo fans dislike it in comparison to H2 or H3

The niche for titanfall 2 is fucking insane. It's sweatier than an NFL locker room after the super bowl. Me and my buddies tried playing multiplayer a few months back and we only got paired against the same exact players and it felt awful. We didn stand a chance and spent an hour dyng literally twice a minute because we just lacked the skill to compete and had no breathing room to learn. Anybody who claims to love titanfall 2 in this day and age believe it because they are either one of those sweats or only play campaign.

I’m the most biased person against halo 4. I just hate the game so much, my hate for it goes so deep that even a mod that’s called halo 4 mythic overhaul still has a lot of the issues that the og game has. It just has a bigger sandbox is all. Enemies still shoot at you from across the map and projectile tracking is still really strong, I was hoping he’d fix those issues but apparently those problems are baked into the games dna and can’t be changed. So as I say you can polish a turd but it’s still a turd

The weapon bloom is probably my least favorite mechanic, sadly it carries into halo infinite with most guns being bloom based except the br for some reason, this game definitely has more guns then infinite tho and also still a better game

Honestly tho I really loved the Halo 5 multiplayer the gameplay was amazing to me tbh.

I've come to realize that Halo 2 is damn good, and Half-Life 2 is overhyped. The Hero's Journey is just something that hits well when handled in a three-act structure, and the avant-garde will age poorly when pit against the "good enough."

Loved this video! ELP never fail to entertain and love that video game music composers took after them a lot. Also I made some interesting discoveries myself. Recently I've been on "Rock Progressivo Italiano" or RPI binge. One thing I could help but notice was the uncanny likeness to with video game music that was to come many years after. Le Orme's Uno Dolcezza Nuova and Final Fantasy VI's dancing mad suite, Osanna's 18 minute epic "Oro Caldo" and Super Smash Bros Brawl main theme and the concept album Discesa Agl'inferi d'un giovane amante (Bacio Della Medusa, Il) and Donkey Kong 64's Creepy Castle world theme are some examples where I found this "likeness" (For this one its the opposite direction of influence since Discesa Agl'Inferi D'Un Giovane Amante was made in 2008 after DK64). Interestingly enough the Smash Bros Brawl main theme was also composed by Uematsu. It would make for an awesome sequel video to this since the link to RPI and video game music is a pretty much unexplored topic.

Halo was great with bungie. 343 have killed the series slowly over the years with each iteration,they got close with infinite but it had its own problems

Something only touched on in the Forge section, but the game just looks like poop. Everything is dull, matte, desaturated and lifeless, and there was such a huge art-style change for how all of the covenant and weapons look compared to the first 3 games, elites were unrecognizable to me.

This is actually kind of a joke for us designers. When someone gives us bad balance feedback. A common joke is “check their mmr.” But I have met and worked with many designers who approach their job with this mindset. And that is a bad idea. I always try to figure out where the feedback is coming from. And to never take a suggested change at face value. When a pro suggests removing a feature with randomness. It is most likely coming from a place of desiring consistency. Removing the feature would be bad and invalidate the fun of another group of players. So maybe I can add a system for the pro to deny the feature. Temp disabling the feature or controlling the randomness through spending resources. Anyway, I love this vid. A great reminder to never hyper-fixate or overvalue one group. All players have a voice worth hearing.

Its all just personal stuff. They don't like tactical games. They don't like Run, Think, Shoot and live. They hate the part about thinking they want those easy and fast gameplay. We don't care about them And we should not. Being respectfull and showing that we are capable of respect and showing answers in a logical way is that matters.
