The T56 in my 1996 Camaro SS has an issue with 5th gear. When I try to shift into 5th and let the clutch out, it doesn't seem to fully engage and pops out. Sometimes if I double clutch it, it will go on in. The rest of the gears - reverse, 1 through 4 and 6th all engage fine. What could be wrong? Bent shift fork? Worn shift fork pads? Bad synchros for 5th? Since 5th/6th gear assemblies are accessible from removing the tail shaft, would replacing the synchros or shift fork pads be an easy job I could do in my driveway?

You said it cotains mineral sprits does that mean I need to wear breathing protection?

I will try to put some sort of gasket between the carb cleaner can and tool.

I got these to mosty test injectors for flow pattern.

You can use a little 9v battery. You dont need much power to actuate the injector valve.

, im curious about the white plastic piece i holding the rod for the slave cylinde, it looks like it gets removed for the install but when you removed yours it was still attached.

I ran over a oil spray can it popped and now there is red oil paint all on the side of my car. Specs all down the side and on the hubcaps as well. Toyota Corolla hybrid . How can i remove it without damaging the clear coat.

This has been driving me NUTS! I did brake jobs on both of my cars as I have done in the past, everything went smoothly. One car is great, no problems. My Altima has been making this sound when coming to a stop, and it's just gotten worse. No other videos on CZcams talk about how to rectify this issue. I cleaned everything with brake clean, cleaned all the slide pins again and regreased them, I resat the hardware for the brake pads after cleaning rust off the bracket again. And I added a washer that I noticed was missing from the caliper mount. Everything I did fixed my issue. Thank God, I was going nuts! Thank you so much for the pointers!!

Thanks for the video, I appreciate how you show the way the fluid seal slides over the piston. I thought mine was too loose, but it must squeeze up once it’s installed in the caliper to make a better seal.

Did the brakes also stop better after doing this?

My current problem is my battery bolts keep stripping loose when I simply hand tight them.

You can leave the injector connected to the battery from 5-10 seconds before you're in danger of burning it out.

I wish I would have found this video yesterday. I re lubed my pins pretty much the exact same way you did, but I didn’t wipe them down & clean the calipers like you did. (Mind me I’m not a mechanic) Looks like I’ll have to do this entire job again. Thank you so much

Thanks for the great video. I found that putting it in fifth gear kept everything in place while putting on housing. Just my 2 cents

I run e85 will this clean out the injectors will my car sit?

Or just change the Calipers. 🦾

Great video! Q: is it possible to back flush the injector using the the same adapter in the kit? Is it as simple as plugging it into the adapter in reverse? Does the injector plate (the one with the tiny holes) need to be removed?

Does this work on car windows as well?

Umm on t56 you never use the fill plug is it wont put enough fluid in trans, you need to pop the sensor and fill there.

I have this sound when I press the brakes and full lock the wheels. Could it be this causing it?

Is the exact same fluid you used safe in a 2000 corvette t56 6spd by chance im concerned a little since it’s atf but it is dextron 3

Is there a formula to figure out ,Say for every inch you raise your truck you should extend the panhard bar X, I am installing mine today , I have a BDS 6” SUSPENSION LIFT in the front the rear was raised 4”s installing core 4x4 adjustable lower & upper control and there pan hand bar ,I have them all set to the factory length ,but after watching your video I’m thinking I need to adjust the panhard bar , what do you think 2012 ram 1500 fox suspension upgrade rear coil upgrade 22” wheels 35” tires been lifted going on

what bearings need to be replaced to resolve the common issue of 4th gear popping out when the transmission goes in and out of being under load? everything I read said this is from a worn bearing in the trans that causes 4th to pop out

Enjoyed the two videos. A potential customer recently contacted me about rebuilding his T56. Told him I needed to “research” them a little bit. The research is watching someone else build one to see if I’ve got the proper tooling. 😂
