Can I add, when the US says if the supreme court gives Trump immunity he'd be like a king?..I'm from the UK but our monarch does not have presidential powers!..there's no way king Charles could attempt a coup. The title is too ironic. The reason the SCOTUS has to make a ruling on presidential immunity is that the Democrats have started the cycle (which is the norm in Latin America and Africa) where the incumbent prosecutes his opponent or predecessor. And, this ridiculous and unconstitutional Bragg case is forcing them to rule on the side of immunity.

That last argument is laughable. If the president is immune, there is no such thing as a peaceful retirement as the next president can always go after you outside of the law without fear of prosecution. In fact, the only way to stay safe is to remain in power.
