Unfortunately, Article 3 of the constitution provides that justices “shall hold their office during good behavior.”
Which basically means for life. They can be impeached but that has only happened once in 1804. Samuel Chase was impeached but the senate refused to convict.

Abolish is not the right word, we need a complete reformation. We absolutely do need a SCOTUS but they shouldn't be appointed by presidents and they shouldn't have lifetime appointments.

He didn’t stage a coup. He had a protest and went through the legal channels to investigate voter fraud and challenge the election. Trump tried to get the national guard to protect the capitol leading up to January 6th. The dc mayor and Nancy pelosi refused to allow it. Also how tf is a few thousand people with no weapons or organization going to overthrow the government of the most powerful country in human existence? They know presidents don't have absolute immunity. They take this case on, wait until the last minute to hear it, and then send it back to the lower court. These are stall tactics to help Trump. If he gets elected, he's in the clear for 4 more years. They can then decide that presidents don't have immunity, and it won't affect him.
