Whatâs # on the little guy?
You prefer snap on or Koken ratchets it you had to pick one?
I grabbed the half cut torx set n the half cut bit set VHC77, just wish I would have had a super shallow 1/4" bit socket for 1/4" drive for all the bits so I don't have to buy all the other half cut sockets. Id just pop a bit in a shallow socket. But for the time being, I cheated, I took a magnet out of my 5/16 nut driver n glued into a fairly larger 1/4" bit socket. Not perfect but got me thru a few difficult jobs.
a super shallow 1/4â bit socket is a good idea. Iâll be meeting up with the VIM guys at ISN Friday, iâll run the idea by them.
@@TxToolGuy Hey, thanks a lot for even responding but I had to make my own doing a water pump on an Audi A4 2.0L after ordering the half cut bit set. So I would be all in.
I've lost most of my interest in VIM, they've gotten way to expensive for just being an importer. EZRed makes super short hex/ torx sockets that I'd be willing to bet are shorter. They also have the outside cut like Astro nanos to fit inside a wrench.
Iâm a robotic technician and I use cobra pliers ALL the time. When I saw the green pair I bout broke my ankles running to buy the whole set lol. Nice set up bro
appreciate it man! and yeah same. i imported mine from Germany when i found out they were available lol
Favorite color is lime green, love the organization. Would hate to see that tool truck tab thođ€Łđ€Ł
haha you wouldnât believe it if you did! i owe snap on $178.93 as of last friday. đ no other tool truck debt.
What do you use for organizers far as your bits and bit sockets go?
i have a toolganizer bit holder
i am eyeing these in 3/8.
2000 for this set bro thatâs half of what a accord or Altima costs
The tool just holding it in place to put the caliber on?
Koken is a hellaova drug
That's awesome! Not many Manufacturers make mid length 1/2 sockets.
Do they need the receipt? Iâm asking because gear wrench and craftsman only ask for a photo of your used tool and I mean thereâs a lot of photos of used tools on eBay
I realize this was a while ago - how are you feeling about Capri sockets this far out? Would you spend extra to get Kokens if you did it all again?
do the capriâs have held up fantastic. havenât had any issues or had to warranty any. However, i also now have Ko-Ken impact sockets - canât remember if i did in the video or not - anyways i love the Ko-Ken ones and i think theyâre priced fair for a tool truck tier impact socket
Thanks for the reply man. Iâm sick of my GP Duo Sockets, mostly because GPâs warranty and distribution system sucks, so Iâm going to swap them out. I was thinking Koken for chromes and Capri for impacts, but Iâm almost tempted to just go Koken everything.
It would be nice if there was a locker for diag tools on these epiq carts . Looks good for parts changing though . I like having all kinds of wrenches and sockets
yeah a little locker would be nice on the cart but i feel that would make it harder to wheel around. i have a separate 3 drawer snap on cart for all my diag equipment
Name ke
Where do you find the boots for the DEWALT DCF line?
from my MAC guy
The Manufacturer states this unit runs on Android 7, can anyone confirm this to be true?
yes it is an android based OS.
Man Ive been wanting this bad boy since it came out, Im not a mechanic by trade though so Im having a hard time justifying the money lol
if it makes you feel any better⊠im a mechanic by trade and have hard times justifying half my purchases. đ
What is the function of the O-ring on the head attack driver? looks strange
How much are the updates is there any subscriptions to the scanner
i believe you get 2 years free then after that $250-450 depending on scantool
I have the snap on 3/8 round head swivel ratchet with a metal handle Iâve never used it and never willđ I wish someone would trade me something for it
man i love my round heads lol
@@TxToolGuy if I had a 1/4 I think use use itđ that was the shop master techs favorite tool
Anything snap on dual 80 is my go to. But the Mac axis are really nice too. The Matco 88s are alright. I like the locking mechanism when it works.
dual 80 definitely is king. i like my matco mainly because the locking mech is on or off. my mac locking is always locked
THLF72 with a RKRTM72A anvil - Locking flex head bit driver with the Mac RBRT Bit kit was gaming changing for working on motorcycles! I now want to try the RKRTM72A in a multi-position ratchet!
i love being able to swap heads and anvils with the snap on ratchets
Nice setup! đ
thank you!
Armstrong tools 1/4â drive
i definitely wish i could find some Armstrong USA stuff still
Astro tools 1/4 extended lmaođ
havenât tried the astro yet! i have their XL 17mm ratchet/ratchet wrench/nano wrench thing and enjoy ot
@@TxToolGuy def super good value for sure. I really like their bigger ratchet in a smaller size 3/8 anvil in a 1/4 sized ratchet 1/2 anvil in a 3/8 sized ratchet. Pretty cool stuff
I really need a torque wrench :(
Matco 88, Just got a nickle chrome purple handle to replace my orange one.
very nice! iâm on the fence about the nickel chrome. it looks good but i love my black chrome
Koken is my favorite
Ko-Ken is in my top 3 for sure đ€đ»
According to the internet and my Cornwell dealer, that right angle radiator hook pick @5:31 you have in green doesnât exist đ€ I could really use that part number đđœ sick setup on everything!
CTG1009SGB here you go đ«Ą
Big like thank you for video
How much?
The amount of tools that are bought and never used is wild. Also, the duplicate buying is also crazy haha. Awesome setup though
thanks, man! 90% of everything i own has been used at least a few times haha. but i totally agree, before i ran this page and my instagram channel, i didnât really have duplicates. a lot of my duplicates have made their way to the house as well. but running this kind of page ends up with duplicates and compare and contrasting stuff
Already jamming new ALL THAT REMAINS, good stuff! đ€đđ€
They all look to be made by the same people as harbor fright
I still don't get it. A wheel socket is just a plastic-sleeved socket ? 'cause i can tape a socket for half a penny. Also, i don't really hit my rims. I'm worried about the nuts. I would want the opposite actually, inner-sleeved would be useful.
Nice setup. Keep going.
Very surprised with Snap-on being soft metal (not good) at their prices... I'm after a full set of wheel nuts/bolts sockets that stop you scratching up your wheel holes. Sometimes the socket won't fit into the alloys wheel holes with the plastic sleeves on? so this defeat's the purpose of having wheel sockets to stop scratching and scoring your alloy wheels bolt holes... Great review Thanks!.... đđđ
Jip I know the punishment. Haha a hybrid 2GR Lexus Rx450h a good 2 and a half hour job with the EGR valve and cooler.
Why do I like my metal handle ratchets? They aren't as bulky and don't get dirty.
I have a 1/2" Snap-On click torque wrench I bought in 1992. If it breaks before I die I will buy a fancy digital one. Oops it has a warranty, I guess I'll have to keep using it.
Hell yeah, Misfits.
you know it! đ€đ»
I have that impact, wonderful little thing
I work at a Toyota dealership & this is what all the guys told me to buy my first week on the job & I will say when itâs brand new & if you have a canister thatâs been put on pretty tight by the last guy this cup will get it off but because the tolerance is so tight it has a tendency to get stuck in the process !
Gear learning?
It's a hard sell when an IR is only $5-10 more.
Perfect! For when I order those pesky straight six intake manifolds and donât wanna return it for the 4cyl version
I use a small prybar and hit it against a pillow of rags wrapped in duct tape
