The VIM bit ratchet and the Icon ratchet, although different are made by the same company. Hi-Five is the company that makes the majority of those ratchets. Company is owned by Bobby Hu ,who worked for GearWrench and designed their ratcheting wrenches. Love your videos brother! Keep it up.

I have the same Vim ratchet, but just branded as Cornwell. I pairs up nicely with the 77 piece stubby bit driver set.
i’ve been meaning to get the VIM stubby driver set but i’ve already got so many bits lol
@@TxToolGuy me too lol, but the stubby set is bad ass. I work on heavy equipment, and a bunch of it is European and the low profile makes my life so much easier.
I use a 3/8 Mac impact all the time on semis. It’s usually for when I need to get to the motor and I’m taking off hoses or air filters and I agree even for on those applications I feel like mine has way to much torque. There’s been times where I’ll be taking off a hose and the bitch will spin off the anvil sending it across the shop lol. I’d like to have a 3/8 impact that’s more mellow
try the snap-on CT861

I been thinking about getting that snap on 3/8 ct861 impact.. along with the ratchets. Are the ratchets worth it?
i think they are. i’ve got like 8 snap-on batteries and a bunch of 14.4 tools so i usually just buy the bare tool nowadays. but that matco sealed head has been pretty legit. i didn’t care for my dewalt ratchet so i sold it, and like i stated in the video you don’t need an impact with the most beans for general automotive lol
@TxToolGuy for 3/8 you don't in in diesel either for most things. My Co workers have that snap 3/8. And use it for most things every day. If you need ugga's and a few duggas, that's whatv1/2 is for lol
I think if you’re going for a truck brand, Matco has the best impacts with the 16v stuff.
