  • Let’s talk lug nut sockets guys! here we got the new ‪@vimtoolsinc‬ rapid load system. ‪@KokenUSA‬, ‪@SnaponToolsOfficial‬, and more!
There are lots of different wheel sockets out there and here are a few that i have and want to compare/hear y’all’s thoughts! They each have some unique features that the test of time will tell. but i definitely like the rapid load of the VIM and the increased hex depth of the Snap-on.
Like, comment, subscribe, and let me know your thoughts! Thanks everyone 🤘🏻🔧

I'm very fond of the Koken tools. When it comes to jest about anything. Everything that's great about snap-on without the enormous price tag that always comes with a Snap-On Tool!

The koken ones are nice but they are prone to break faster for everyday use.

They’re the same because Mac tools, Craftsman and DeWalt are all owned by Stanley/Black and Decker!

That makes perfect sense actually seeing Stanley owns Mac and Craftsman. That’s pretty interesting they’re doing the typical same product only rebranded game with their own products

yep. wish i would’ve seen the craftsman before i bought the mac ones lol. but also the 21mm mac one i had in the video was the “premium” wheel socket since i broke the cheaper one and it had been 8 months since and no eta so my dealer replaced it with the premium one

I believe from another video dude said the Koreans were thin enough to be used without having to take off the sleeves for wheels with snug lug holes.

    Try the Milwaukee sockets

I have Sunex wheel sockets (since my impacts are Sunex), but have been tempted by the Ko-ken or Milwaukee... Ever tried the ShockWave wheel sockets?

I still don't get it. A wheel socket is just a plastic-sleeved socket ? 'cause i can tape a socket for half a penny.
Also, i don't really hit my rims. I'm worried about the nuts. I would want the opposite actually, inner-sleeved would be useful.

0:10.. It's not that unusual for that sleeve to come off...just sayin ✌️
VIM's "rapid load" feature is for ball detent not hog ring style drives...if you look at German impact sockets they mostly all use that feature..

    • @TxToolGuy

some are designed for the sleeves to come off, like the Ko-Ken like i stated in the video, but the Mac is not. however, VIM’s rapid load is designed for ease of loading the socket onto an impact with a new O-ring installed. that’s what VIM told me when i asked what it was.
