    A little tip I learned from an older, wiser mechanic years ago..if you choose to use the plastic, blow molded cases the wrenches, or sockets, or screwdrivers come in
or any tool for that matter
to keep them from cracking (all my snap on plastic cases cracked in time) buy a can of spray foam and spray foam the underside. You’ll be surprised how far one can goes. Let it dry overnight then take a basic hacksaw blade and flush cut the excess to the bottom of tray..it works absolutely perfect and your cases are incredibly strong. Good video

    Save your money and buy the Astro Pneumatic 52SL light with the wireless charging base. Can be had for $70. Been using it non stop for the past year and it's been great.

      @TxToolGuy  Pƙed rokem +1

      yeah i’ve been searching for a new light since my ICON started assing out. i only bought the icon because i had a snap-on magnetic puck, and left it on a frame
 then it was gone forever. bought another
. 2 weeks later same thing. so i told myself buy an icon and plot twist. haven’t misplaced it once 😒

      @@TxToolGuy I have one of the cheaper Braun ones from HF. Been dropped countless times and still chugging along. Battery life isn't the best but what do you expect for $10 bucks with a coupon. I highly recommend the Astro pneumatic light. Extremely bright when needed, completely adjustable brightness level, and the wireless charging pad is magnetic. The pad also has an additional USB port if you have any other 5v rechargeable lights.

    • @I_Died_2_Weeks_Ago
      @I_Died_2_Weeks_Ago Pƙed rokem

      I thought about that light, but then experienced techs at my shop said to just go to Harbor freight because you're going to eventually leave it on a vehicle. 😂 Much cheaper to replace the $30 Braun light. I'm waiting for the yellow square Braun light to get back in stock at my local Hobo Freight and I'm snatching it up. I will spend extra on a good pocket light though.

      @@I_Died_2_Weeks_Ago Makes sense. I work at a bowling center on the pinsetters. Lights won't drive away on me. đŸ€Ł I have left a few in machines and found them in pieces later in the same day tho. LOL

    2:35.. you mean holds better than a ball bearing..a detent pin is literally a steel pin that is held with a rubber O-ring typically...I have seen them built into the piece and is a steel pin on a spring without an O-ring but, definitely isn't a ball bearing.. it's much longer..👍
    I have th Olsa ratchet..wish it said Made in USA... but they claim it is...should be stamped on the ratchet imo...especially for the price

    On the toolganizer sets...are the magnets pretty strong or more on the weak side? im looking for something to use on my service truck and the ones that ive tried are not that good because magnets are weak....I wish I could find something with magnets like what vim uses.

    • @TxToolGuy
      @TxToolGuy  Pƙed 11 měsĂci

      their magnets are good but not as good as VIM mag rails. and if it’s going in a service truck i’m not sure how it would hold up

    I can’t speak for the snap on “inspection” light but, I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with snap on light. They’re super bright but they don’t last. Even when I baby them and don’t drop them they seem to crap out right after the warranty is up. The long snap on dykes however
. Those are awesome. I use them to cut steel brake lines up to 1/4” regularly, they hold up great

    8:20 to the left of the bit holder. Did you buy a wheel lock master kit for Toyotas or is it just wheel lock keys you’ve collected over time? Great video and good recommendations, I’ll check them out.

    • @TxToolGuy
      @TxToolGuy  Pƙed rokem +1

      thanks! and they were just keys i’ve collected over time out of used cars when we would swap them to regular lugs. it’s not a complete set but i plan to buy the toyota OEM set since they’re impact rated and lifetime warranty

    Its a waste of time doing an alignment on a lifted car when the steering arms are at that angle.

    • @TxToolGuy
      @TxToolGuy  Pƙed rokem

      why? most of the time you can get them into full factory spec with the right arms. and if you don’t have the right arms, run high caster and get camber and toe into spec. it’ll drive straight and won’t have uneven tire wear
. been doing lifted alignments for a long time.
