I used to instal clutches in mid 90's. I still hace 25 ft of 3/8 extensions, and swivels up to 1 5/16.
    Bellhousing required 1/2 impact 3ft extension ,and 3/8 male,going into 3/8 swivels.
Back then we had choice of hard handles and chrome ,straight and non-locking ratchets.
Still have my first set of green screwdrivers from 1995.
I like them green, long and swiveling!
Magnetic sockets are a newer thing that wasn't available back in my day.
No longer turn wrenches, but enjoy all the new technology you guys have.
    Great video explaining the difference!

I found that Capri gives you the most complete sets. I think the 3/8 set goes from like 6 to 22. It's just convenient getting your deeps, mids, & shallows in one complete set.

i agree, i do like the capri master 3/8 that comes with short, mid, deep. but i wish they have a more shallow broaching

I really like low profile sockets. Sometimes they’re just what you need. I prefer the kind that also has the hex on the end for a wrench, as well as the square broach for a ratchet or breaker bar.

the low profile are super handy. especially for belt tensioners or tight access areas

How do you like the Capri chrome sockets? I use impacts most of the time but looking to invest in some chrome sockets for occasional use. The capris look nice but I would like some feedback from somebody who has used them in a shop environment and how they stand up. Thanks for any advice you can give.

In my opinion there's a thing called manual dexterity and I think most mechanics today lack that They rely too much on the tool doing a job as you got to have a tool for the job and the right tool for the job but also skill. Level is missing in today's mechanical assemblies and disassemblies

true, i was taught feel with your eyes and once you get experienced enough torque values become known by feel. but on the same token with the new engine designs coming out and all this technology shoved into cars we need specialized tools to even work on them

I love tools but we also have to Emphasize more on the tools that we have to be proficient and to utilize them to the best of its engineering properties

Mac impacts are my favorite..I like having both deep & shallow broching ..long lug nuts..try a bleeder screw , Snap on shallow broching won't go in deep enough..there's a few times deep is better..sometimes you give her the tip & sometimes gotta go deep..😂✌🇺🇸🔧

You should do a starter toyota mechanic video. What tools to get for beginners.

Never did figure out why the Taiwanese guys make deep broached sockets so much, I’d have thought it cost less to do the shallow broaching.

because the mold is already being used for 17 other socket brands. lol

Very happy with my capri impact sockets.. also i use astro chrome (UV) and astro nano sockets have saved my ass a few times with the hex at the base for very tight spots.
