  • I’m a huge fan of Ko-Ken tools. Japanese steel and high quality. All made in Japan. I’ve picked out a few of the sets and tools I have from them to show you guys what they have to offer. Don’t see a lot of Ko-Ken content here on youtube so here’s some!

    Some of the best DIYers are car guys. They have to deal with mechanical, plumbing, and electrical. My auto tech Uncle can fix anything on his car OR his house.

      true that! one you become mechanically inclined in any trade they usually crossover

    I have a koken ratchet and the attack driver. Amazing, high quality tools. The things I hate about the flex head ratchets is the single detent and the heads are riveted. Wish they had like 7-8 detent positions and had a screw so it could be tightened/repaired.

    • @TxToolGuy
      @TxToolGuy  Před rokem +1

      good feedback. i do agree that the detent ball is an odd choice for the flex head. and i wish they were longer but the smoothness is unmatched. the attack driver is awesome. beat impact driver i’ve used

    Those 3/8 to 3/8 impact quick connect adapters? Those are made for japanese impact guns. Instead of just using a ball or pin like in the US, you actually have a pin that goes through a hole in the socket and a hole in the anvil, then you put an o-ring around the socket to keep the pin in place. Kinda like the pinned impact swivels but you can take it apart.

    So after hearing your feedback on the Koken extensions, now I'm interested. Is it safe to say that you're going to invest in a Koken tattoo?

    • @TxToolGuy
      @TxToolGuy  Před rokem

      haha i just might! depends if they’ll reimburse me like my snap-on dealer did 😂 all jokes aside i think the Ko-Ken extensions are top tier

    I'm Japanese and it's really weird to ask but do they have lifetime warranty? I think most of Japanese tool manufacturers don't offer lifetime warranties. This is one reason why I like American tools. Especially Pittsburgh. easy replacement

    Wright Tool (USA made) also has those thumb wheels for ratchets. Got to love the retention system in these Koken sockets.

    • @T6Tarek
      @T6Tarek Před rokem +1

      Depends where you bought it from. My understanding is some of the US distributors are giving warranties but if you purchased from Japan directly there is no warranty. Koken in its home country doesn't give a warranty on its tools. Warranty on tools is a US thing
