These look great! Golden barrel stock might work well for you in AZ. You could definitely push the trichocereus grafts harder with water and fertilizer.

Love the update. I have been growing 2 Saguaro cactus in pots for the last 4 years. This spring I planted a bunch of seeds, they are doing good on my patio so far, no mold or fungus yet.

It’s good to see the Saguaros are past their “Terrible twos”😜😝

Thank you so much for posting this. I've been trying to figure out for days what these bugs are. I'm in northern California and based on the comments it looks like this invasion is spreading north. Good to know they will be gone in 2-4 weeks. I hope they don't get into the house.

Omg so happy I know what they are now. I feel so much better knowing what im up against. I live out in 3 points just west of Tucson and ive been at war with these fuckers for the last week. I have millions as well, im currently trying so many methods to take their numbers down and keep them out of my travel trailer. I have found that they drown pretty easily, so I've set up water traps with light to attract them and some where they like to climb and fall. I have to change the water daily. Soap water spary bottle works pretty good too. How's your battle going with them??? Did you ever get their numbers down???

They look amazing! They grow so fasttt!! They should be around 15 feet in 20 yrs! Or even more!

I just started collecting again after 18 years. I had lost all my cacti when i got divorced. I lost myself fir a long time and cacti are helping me to find myself again. Love your shows!

Congratulations. I think they're wonderful. Strange to think our plants may outlive us. Now I'm worried about who will look after mine when I'm gone. There's an endless variety of cactus trauma. Who knew?

Very nice! I did some some this year and I how have 10 seedlings. Can't wait for them to grow up a bit more. They do look so cool!

If your mom waters that broken one from about halfway up and back down, try not to get water on the broken part, it will grow a new arm faster

I have grown them from 1 foot tall to 15 foot tall in 15 years in the backyard before. So they will start growing about 1 foot per year with evening shade, and a little extra water in the summer during the heat

At 3 inches tall, I would say if you put a good sized rock on the evening side, blocking the evening, Sun, you can plant them in the yard right now. They would probably take a little water every evening after the sun goes down if your yard drains well.

Javelinas will knock them over in nature to eat the roots.

Nice Saguaros!! They will take more water than nature gives them, that's for sure. Just pay attention to their ribs, once they're fully expanded, they're good for while.

I have 10 year old saguaro seedlings that are about the size of yours.

They are still pretty large for their age. They grow even slower in nature. Very nice saguaros. They look super healthy.

those mammillaria hipensus are getting so plump and adorable thank you for your videos! ive recently just got into succulents and cactus and your videos have all been so helpful! I just had my first little mexican giant cactus seedling sprout. A saguaro cactus with arms is one of my dream cacti so watching this video gives me hope of growing them from seeds too :D

Nice job! Spiny Tricho often look beat up but push growth well. Just remove any offsets to focus growth on scion. My favs I use are Tricho Pachinoi PC, Spachianus, Huascha, Grandiflorus, and Myrtillocactus. I sometimes use metal tongs to deal with spines. You can grow your own stock too. Your plants look good. Heck, we all have plants die. Stay cool😂😎😢🌵❤

We stopped at BACH’s this morning, stopped to ask a question about a plant I’m having trouble with. 6 new plants and 5 new pots later we were on our way home. lol

Have you been to the new place in Vail yet? Four Arrows I think it is. It’s on our list of places to try soon. We haven’t been to Arid Lands yet this year either, soon though.
