- OMG you all! I was introduced to the most fun app for buying (and selling) plants called PlantStory! I had never heard of this app until a PlantStory representative reached out about a potential sponsorship. So I decided to vet the app myself before ever considering sharing it with you all. I would only ever share products with you that I use and have a positive experience with. And guess what? It passed the Cookie's Cacti test and now I'm hooked. I purchased the cactus in the video before having any kind of partnership with PlantStory, so this is a genuine first experience where the purchase was made with my own money.
After my positive experience with PlantStory and the shop Something2GrowOn, PlantStory gave me an affiliate link. If you use my link to sign up to the app, you automatically get a $15 credit to your account. I explain in the video the full details on how I earn commission in the form of PlantStory credit if you use the link. And if I get enough credit I'd love to do a giveaway!

1. Log into your PlantStory app
2. Go to your profile, then go to settings

I'm sure we all miss the early 2000s with low resolution webcams, right? Well, you're in luck as it turns out that my laptop camera is low resolution (which I didn't know until I exported the file) and I had re-shot so many of the segments for this video so many times that I just didn't have the stamina to do it one more time. So here I am, my first time in front of the camera for an extended amount of time and you get to see my nice and pixelated face... you're welcome (ARGH!)

I really like your channel your boundless enthusiasm over your cactus in awesome. I really appreciate the fact that you grow from seed as well, however I would suggest maybe building a small seasonal greenhouse next fall. They really need to be dry during those cold damp desert nights or they will continue struggling with fungus and rot. Keep posting your videos they make my day and your cat is pretty cool too.
Thank you so much! I just love this hobby so much. I don't typically have much problems with rot in the winter. It seems my biggest challenge is with fungus. Next year I'm planning to do some preventative measures before the winter rains arrive. I don't want to completely block off all the plants from getting winter rains because the majority of them actually thrive in it. It's just the fungus that needs attention.

Thank you for the Cookie hugs! You bring up an excellent point, it's wayyy too cold to be shipping plants to much of the country. I've heard multiple vendor lives who say they are happy to hold onto the plants and ship when it warms up. Where are you at?

I just downloaded the app! Pretty cool app. Sounds like fun to do a live event, I'll be watching your videos to see if you end up becoming a vendor! I mostly collect Euphorbia and Caudex-type plants but cacti are cool too :)

😂😂😂 help me think about how to do the giveaway because I think we can definitely get there. My first thought is to get a live going on PlantStory at a set time. Then depending on how much credit you all end up helping me earn determines how many winners we can have. If there's a way to just transfer the credits directly to the winner(s) that would probably be the easiest. Let me know your thoughts!

Hi from Chandler, Bill! That is the nicest thing to say about Cookie. I question myself all the time about how I care for her but then I have to remember that I can only do the best that I can. I still find PlantStory very entertaining. I spend more time just letting it run in the background but not necessarily buying things - I have to be more discerning about what I buy! Space, space, space...

I can’t seem to find the “did a friend refer you?” Link is it on desktop only?
I can see it on my app. It's kinda hard to find. If you're on the setting page and then click on the "refer friends & earn credit", the "did a friend refer you" should be a link in green color, right above the "share your link" code. Too bad I can post a picture in the comments.

I know the app is supposed to help people sell their plants, but I feel it will ultimately lead to their sheinification.
Can you elaborate? I've heard of Shein but I don't know much about it. What does "sheinification" mean?
