Hello, I’m Thomas and I provide high-tier in-depth tech reviews with a focus on gaming peripherals that are delivered in an entertaining, humorous, and easily understood way providing the information you need to see if it is the right product for you or not. Additionally, I break down complicated tech into easily understandable bites while showing you what the product can or can't do. I promise you'll not find better reviews anywhere.
As for me, I've beaten +250 games on the hardest difficulties, with many being 100%. In the competitive sector I've reached level 50/Onyx in Halo and tend to be in the top 10% (Diamond) for most games. At this point I've also tried a stupid amount of headsets/headphones, mice, keyboards, and other tech items. As I have a passion for tech and am always looking at the horizon seeing what is coming with eager anticipation in trying it out. I started this channel because other tech reviews left me disappointed and I wanted to make reviews I wanted to see.

Insane Cooling (15 - 20 C) - Ilano Laptop Cooler Fully Tested

I was interested in the Ilano Laptop Cooler because they boast that it will cool your laptop 15 - 20 degrees Celsius. Which I thought was pretty darn impressive. Today, I’ll be testing those claims on an older low-end laptop, a new mid-grade laptop, and a high-end gaming laptop. Along with going over the different features. With a conclusion at the end that sums up all of my findings. FINDINGS:...

The Razer Deathadder V3 Pro Is a Masterpiece - Here's Why
in game, i am constantly told i am too quiet after using the plug in mic and maxing out every slider for mic volume, quiet devo.
Thanks for your great work , and made me decide to update to Apple tv 2nd gen. Now i need another apple tv 4k for bedroom, should i buy 2nd gen or 3rd gen? Is there better picture quality and sound quality on 3rd gen?
I am very late for the party and got this in 2024 but at a much lower price of $185. I have yet to use the variable actuation feature yet but I can imagine using the same key for walk/run and select/throw grenade. However one negative point is that using this keyboard will render your game controllers undetectable or unusable. I know there is manual work-arounds but I don't think I want to manually disable devices in Device Manager. So I only use this keyboard on days when I'm only playing FPS games (not sports/racing games which require a controller) and that sucks.
Just ordered one of these from Currys (UK) for £100... After my Razer Huntsman Mini (Red optical switch v2) has given up the ghost 5 months outside of its warranty. Looking forward to delivery tomorrow 😊 Great video 👍🏻 thanks 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Sorry to hear your old keyboard kicked the bucket right outside of warranty! How frustrating. Keyboards should last a lot longer than that. But I’m excited for your new keyboard!
I have a caseless iPhone 13 Mini in green since it came out ✌️ also no display protector, completely naked. Some micro scratches on the display and a very fine dent on the frame but I don’t care about that
Love it. Still don't know how you do it without a screen protector.
were you born a girl?
Thanks for the info
Is the sound stock or did you lubed those switches and did the tape mod to the keyboard??
Great review btw!❤
That is all stock. I did nothing to it.
That's two bad, but maybe Razer will have a change of mind? I agree, a Viper Mini in a plastic shell would have been amazing.
I've heard that a lot of people do enjoy the Cobra Pro. But still think a lot of people are disappointed it wasn't the exact Viper Mini they were looking for.
Bro how’s the mic on these do they detect background noise too much?
The microphone for this is fine. It is flip to mute which is nice. Also, tends to move itself right into the ideal position. You can understand what people are saying just fine, but it comes across as perfectly adequate despite being Discord certified. It gets the job done but will not be blowing any ones socks off and isn’t bad to the point your friends will dislike you.
@@ThomasMuehlerI just bought it rn and was worried if it detects background noise without me speaking thanks.
@@manandotv4133 I think that is pretty environment specific. And mine is quiet so not something I can test well. Hopefully it goes well.
@@ThomasMuehlerI appreciate that man
@@manandotv4133 I would love to hear what you find out so I can help others with a similar question.
this was great, in depth, good comedy, and had good coverage between them both. I think ima go with the SL2 given the 3 big differences of cable, optics, and new sensor.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the Superlight 2 once you get it in and try it out.
@@ThomasMuehler It just showed up yesterday. the box unopened was less weight than my g403. right away i noticed a slight difference in the palm grip. the superlight has a leaner/slimmer back compared to the g403. will take some time to get used to. the scroll wheel isn't mushy anymore, i can feel each scroll. the click on it is silent which is different. I played aimlabs and some games with it so far - definitely enjoy it a lot. Right now im going to see if I should get glass skates or put grips on. but ya 100% worth the upgrade from a non superlight. My friend has the superlight 1 and if I was on that I probably wouldn't upgrade just for the usb-c/new switches alone. but for a new upgrade/jump from a 40$ mouse big worth it.
RGB can be set to show battery status or dpi settings?
I haven't used this mouse in a log time and don't know where it is. I don't know if that is a feature or not. But from my previous experience with a bunch of products. Usually, when the mouse is low it will flash red (which is the case here). And sometimes (depending on the product and how much RGB) if you press the DPI it will show different light settings. But I've never seen (or maybe never selected) it to go from a green RGB to yellow to red for battery. Although that is a good idea.
@@ThomasMuehler Zowie used to use RGB on wheel to show DPI, Roccat got setting to show battery status on top of normal rainbows.
@@sebastianromero113 Yeah it depends on the mouse and if they have a specific RGB for that.
damn bro review was fire. found everything I was looking for Literally had 5 more reviews opened in background tabs, I closed all of them after 5 mints in.
Glad it was helpful. I am to please.
Is this keyboard compatible with Mac?
Yes.
I have never seen a comparison between 2017 and 2022 model years of the Apple TV. My 2017 model was getting old and I was having trouble with it. I bought the new 2022 model and it worked great until I noticed it got a bit warm. It is not vented like the 2017 model, but at least it is quite a bit better than my worn out 2017.
I do own the 2022 model. Compared to the 2021 It is faster by a good bit (as it has a much more powerful chip - A12 vs A15). I didn't do a visual comparison though. But from the 2017 to the 2022 at the least would be the same difference if not slightly better than the 2021 from a visual standpoint. And as mentioned will be faster. Also, with the new chip they didn't need a fan. Yes, it will get warmer but I've had zero issues with it getting too hot. As you have to keep in mind (if you have an Apple phone) it also has a fanless design but also a screen that heats it up and those do well in normal environments. And with some of the newer chips they actually generate less heat compared to older chips. So while it may not have a fan could actually be at a lower temperature.
I just bought it on Amazon
Would love to get your thoughts on it when you get it in and try it out.
do you know if the software actually has a virus? my windows security is flagging it as having malware and trojans.
I didn't even know there was software. So, I'm not sure.
Has anyone used this headset on a Macbook? If so, are the EQ settings active?
Does anyone have any ideas?
Tested it at home tonight. The EQ does transfer over whether on LightSpeed or Bluetooth. However, if you plug in the dongle to a new PC/Mac and download the software it will replace the custom EQ with the default one making you have to create the preset again on that computer at which point will carry over again. If you use the same computer all the time then it will still keep the EQ saved when opening Logitech G Hub. Also, G Hub works on both Mac and PC.
Hi! JBL GO 4 or Soundcore select 2
I honestly don't know. I haven't tried the JBL Go 4
Does the wheel tilt left and right,
No, disappointingly most mice do not have that function built in.
the OG superlight has the issue of the scrollwheel breaking quick where when u scroll up on the screen it scrolls both directions and stuff. is that also fixed on the new version?
I never had that problem. But am aware of it. From my understanding, no. I believe the scroll wheel is exactly the same. Prone to the same possible defects.
Dude you’re hilarious 😂😂 first vid I’ve seen and it was good! Thanks for your review
Nice video. I bought yesterday these awesome earbuds. But, i have a problem. How do you control the volume??
I think you have to control it through your device (as in cell phone) over through the earbuds themselves. I go through the controls and if it wasn't mentioned then I'm not aware of it.
Why can't they make them silent? The one thing I'm always looking for when I'm playing at 2am, everyone in the house can hear me click click click away.
From my limited understanding. A big part of what makes a mouse "good" is the subjective "feel" of the click. In order to get a nice "bump" and tactile click. Part of that is from the way it sounds. For example if you have multiple mice and noise cancelling headphones put them on, click all the mice and write down which you think feels the best. Then take off the headphones and click all of them and write down the results. Then compare and see if there is a difference. As sound can influence us by making us think something is more 'crisp' feeling. Additionally, a louder click is going to be a byproduct of a more tactile click. As there is a reason why most quiet things feel a bit mushy. As it needs to be softer. So, that was a long way of saying. They could make them quieter. But that usually means a mushier click. Which most people say is a trash-tier mouse. So, they don't. It would be cool to have a swappable one though. As I'm the same way when I'm clicking away at work and I'm like my co-workers probably hate me.

This is an older sensor so I don't remember off the top of my head. But it should be 1 - 2 mm. I believe it automatically adjusts to be as low as possible. @@ThomasMuehler razer的軟體目前相對LOGITECH的軟體有更好用了嗎?因為常常看到很多玩家詬病RAZER軟體很多BUG
@@user-zk6ls7kd9e Tough question. Razer's software has improved a lot. But is also a lot more robust than Logitech's. Which means it can develop more problems. As anytime you add complexity you increase the chance for failure/problems. I haven't had problems with Razer's software for a couple of years now. But it is slower to initially load. You can also load different modules now instead of everything which has helped a lot. I also personally find it a lot more user friendly to navigate and use. And for me, is my favorite "gaming peripheral" software. As it does a lot and is user friendly. Logitech's is more lightweight making it easier to run. I haven't had issues with it either. But I think it is a nightmare to navigate and do what I'm looking to do. Even simple things. Such as adjusting the DPI and saving it to my onboard memory is a pain. Summary: I think Razer's software is easier to navigate and use but is more prone to bugs, heavier on resources, and takes longer to load. Logitech's software is lightweight but a nightmare to navigate. Also, very limited. Jíshǒu de wèntí. Will goxlr make this good ?
No. By that I mean that any equalizer (for the most part) will perform relatively the same. And when you EQ a product it is still limited by whatever the original EQ (made by manufacturer) is. Which is a complicated way of me saying. That if you enjoy the sound or already think this is good sounding then by EQ you MAY make it better. But if you already don't like the sound I don't think there is any EQ that will transform a product to all the sudden be good. But you could/should check that opinion with other people.
Hi sir, can you help me? I'm buy a AULA F75 recently, was delivered today. I try to use on Mac, using FN + E, but all the function keys (F1, F2... F12) are in "media mode" (volume up, down, brightness, mic, mute, etc). I search in all internet about fn lock or some software to fix that, but I didnt find anything. I need F-keys because I'm a developer and F-keys is heavly used. Can you help me?
This is a great question. I too couldn't find anything. I know when you are in Windows mode the function keys will work normally. However, when on Mac that means the normal copy/paste etc. doesn't work like normal. So, frustrating either way. I did email them to see what they had to say. Waiting on a reply. At which point I'll get back to you on what they said. If I remember. So feel free if I don't reach back out in like 48 hours to message me back and remind me.
The reply I got back did not provide any information. I've sent another follow up but they are out of office until after May 5 (holiday).
My headset sounds so muffled, I play r6 and I can’t tell the different between someone walking thru a door or if they are behind a wall. No idea why.
That could be from a few different reasons. So I'm not really sure why either. But sounds super frustrating!
@@ThomasMuehler definitely lol I just bought it but I’m probably gonna return it and get a different one i just don’t know what to really get
@@Immacide I would recommended the HyperX Cloud III.
I bought this used and can’t figure out how to turn it off 😫😫 help me lol
There is a switch on the top left. Just move it to the middle. Then to either side for wireless with dongle or bluetooth.
I recently bought the Viper V3 HyperSpeed Yesterday, the performance was quite good in my opinion, it was super lightweight and pretty short, but its the opposite for appearance, it looked good in the shop when I tested it, but after the day of just gaming, the mouse already had my sweat stains on it, the mouse I bought was from TMT, is it the mouse having bad cleaning properties or is it because of the poor quality in the shop? or is it because I sweat too much? Choose one that you think that might be the cause of my mouse being stained in 1 day. A. mouse has bad quality B. Shop had poor quality of making the mouse C. I sweat too much
I think BadSeedTech explains this well in his Review of the Viper V3 Pro and says it more eloquently than I will. I'd need to find my V3 Hyperspeed. Not sure if the coating is the same. But close if memory is correct. Basically, pros tested a bunch of different coatings and then chose their favorite one. Which is what is on this guy. In life, sometimes you can't have everything you want and have to make a trade. In this case a grippy good feeling coating that performs well, doesn't look good. As that is a direct relation. To get the grip, it can't repel fingerprints. Therefore, it feels good, but looks terrible. In general if you look at the GPX (similar coating) it doesn't look good. Or a lot of grippy products. As the chemical nature involved kind of leads to that. A. Bad quality. No, the opposite actually. But depends on your perspective. If looks are the only thing that matters. Then yes. Bad quality. If performance/feel is your main thing. Then great quality. B. Shop. No, I don't think so. C. I think is related. As those who sweat more are going to leave more stains than those who don't. And is likely making the situation worse for you than it would for other people. But isn't the sole factor.
Is there screws under the cushions?
wireless keyboards are really tempting, how's the polling rate and latency with 2.4? great review 🙌
Polling rate is 1,000 Hz. I found latency to be good. Where in normal casual gaming I wouldn't notice anything. But I think I noticed it not being as responsive for the highly competitive games as wired. But most people would say that is placebo and not something I could actually notice. But not enough to make like a make it or break it type thing. Put simply. Latency for normal use zero issues. For causal gaming zero issues. For competitive gaming, if I'm splitting hairs, yes a difference. But not enough to be significant.
very cool! that birghtness level was incredible!
Right?! I was very pleasantly surprised.
How’s the quality of razer these days? I got my first deathadder left click issues after 2 years of use
I can only speak from a mouse/keyboard standpoint. As that is where most of my testing has been. But I think for the past 5ish years they have been really good. And equal or better to the other main brands. Outside of an uneven base on my Razer Viper V3 Hyperspeed and Razer Viper Mini sensor issue I haven't had any problems with any of the products I've bought from them. I think their other products headsets, laptops, etc. may be different. And if you go looking you'll find people with problems. But also need to remember that most people who don't have problems don't post about it. Whereas, those who do have problems do. Which is the case with any product from any company. I find if the Stars for most reviews are >4 then it is probably solid. If 4 then maybe something is off. 3 - 3.5 is like I probably should be hesitant or expect problems. Whereas less than 3 should be avoided.
Hahaha so I am a complete savage! 3 years Without a case or a screen protector … just some scratches on the corners and that’s all! I have a purple one and I love it like that 💜
You are a savage. No case is risky. But no screen protector?! Man you really are crazy. lol
I used the OG grip tape it came with. Not recommended for people with hot hands. I guess i melted the glue adhesive over time just using it. It became like jello and wouldn't stay on the mouse. Had to clean it off with goo gone and alcohol to finally get all the sticky adhesive off. Also if you're getting this might as well get the one you can get glass skates for. Its the only thing that makes this mouse worth it. The plastic feet just ruin how smooth it can be.
Man, that's pretty crazy about the adhesive. But it certainly does make sense. I think we forget that we are 98 degrees normally. And I'm sure our hands get hotter than that when they are warm. As for the glass skates. 100% agree on that one. Much better with them than the stock feet.
Great video man, thanks for the info
why is NO ONE ONLINE TELLING ME IF I CAN PLUG THIS IN OR NOT. NO COMPUTER HAS A C PORT.
People are probably not answering you because you are yelling and also not providing a clear question. Additionally, these questions are answered in the video and also on the site itself for the product. There are three ways to use this keyboard. 1. USB-A to USB-C. The USB-C side goes into the keyboard. The USB-A side (which all computers have... for the most part) is what would plug into the PC. The keyboard knob would be in the center. 2. It has a USA-A Wireless Dongle. Which would also plug into your PC. Then switch the keyboard to the Wireless mode. 3. Through Bluetooth. Assuming your PC supports that. Did that fully answer your question(s)?
Love the review, gonna be getting the laptop soon!
I'm excited for you!
@@ThomasMuehler I'm a little torn about the 8gb soldered ram though, what are your thoughts? I'm a computer engineer and I also work as a graphic designer so I'm using photoshop and illustrator a lot. Would you still recommend this laptop for me? Since my budget is pretty tight do you think the Ram is going to be a problem? Thank you so much thomas!
@@afnandanish Man. Tough Question. If I were in your position. I would wait for the Q420 (the one with 16 GB RAM) to go on sale (as this is the Q410). As with you being a computer engineer and most importantly doing graphic design 8 GB will NOT be enough. Ideally, I think 32 GB would be more ideal for you. But that can dramatically increase cost. Or you'd have to look for a laptop that has upgradable RAM and buy less RAM then upgrade later. Or honestly, go with an M2 MacBook Air/Pro with 16 GB of RAM. As their memory management is better. There were some good sales going on. But would be a lot more money. But also tend to hold their value better and last a long time. Along with have way better battery life. Same performance on/off battery. With some other things. But I think the best bang for your buck would be the Q420 on sale. Or saving longer. Or with Intel/Snapdragon they are releasing new PC's that are similar to Apples M silicon (more power efficient, while being more powerful, and do better graphics wise as well). I know Asus Zenbook has a variant of that. But I don't remember the cost. But would say that would be most ideal. As the old intel chips are going to be phased out. Assuming these new chips are everything they are marketing them to be. But are in the infancy so there is some early adoption tax (both monetarily and bugs/etc.) But I think those would last longer as we have kind of gotten to a stagnation point with laptops from a performance standpoint. Where yearly upgrades have been minimal for a while. Plus most people don't push their machines to max. But with you being a more advanced user think a higher end machine would behoove you. Over the base model like this laptop. Which is for your light/average user (due to the RAM). Otherwise, does well from a performance/battery/screen/build quality/etc which I go through in the video. That was a lot. Also, didn't give you a clear answer. But hopefully it was helpful. But to sum up. 1. Q420 on sale w/ 16 GB ram best bang for buck. 2. With your usage/profession/goals. Buying a M2 MacBook Air/Pro would likely benefit you in the long run but be more expensive. 3. If you don't like Apple then go for the new Intel Ultra/Snapdragon laptop chips over older Intel/AMD chips. As will give better performance/graphics and battery life (ideally, if marketing is true). As I haven't had an opportunity to try them.
Did this mouse relaunch today
No, looks like some people were able to get their hands on the “Pro” version from some type of goof from someone at a store. But it hasn’t been officially released yet which is why you don’t see it anywhere and can’t buy it. Which comes with some upgrades of the “Hyperspeed” version which is in this video. For Razer the “Hyperspeed” is mostly the affordable version lets say. That has a bit less bells and whistles. Where the “Pro” has all the bells and whistles and is quite expensive. But the Viper V3 Pro has not been officially released yet. But obviously since people have copies it will be coming out very soon. From the little I’ve seen looks to have a slightly improved sensor. But unless if I’m missing something not worthy of upgrading for that alone. Comes with the 8K dongle. And the sensor position is centered instead of near the top. Additionally, I’d expect better weight distribution. And it comes with optical instead of mechanical switches. And of course the new shape. Which I think people are going to like a lot more than the OG Viper shape. Making it more competitive with the GPX from a comfort point of view. As I already think Razer is doing a much better job than Logitech in all the other areas. But thats my opinion.
Great video
would this make a good bookscanner?
Yes, I think it would. If you already have an iPhone and a Mac then you can do the same thing. Or even just and iPhone. But yes, this would be a good option for that if you’re looking for a dedicated device.
do you recommend this laptop to programming students who wants light weight and good battery laptop with good performance and trackpad and screen? for coding? i want to buy 16GB RAM with i7 13700H do you think its worth it or there is better laptops in this range?
Yes, but I would go with the Q420 which as you mentioned is the upgraded 16 GB RAM variant. From a Windows standpoint I think this would be exceedingly hard to beat. Especially, around that $1k mark. I still think if you can afford it MacBooks are the best laptops on the market. But tend to be a lot more expensive (about twice as much). There have been some good sales recently where you MAY be able to find a MacBook around the same price point. I know the M1 MacBook Air isa bout $800 (if you can find it). I prefer this laptop over the M1 MacBook Air. From a power standpoint I think it is a trade. MacBooks come with some nice encoders which help a bit for video stuff. Also, their QuickSwap (that’s not the term but close) makes the 8GB of RAM perform better on Mac than on Windows. But DOES NOT make it so 8GB feels like 16 GB. Personally, I found the M1 Air to be too small at 13 inches. And this has a lot better screen. The touch pad on this is also excellent. I think the biggest thing you are getting with the M1 Air over this is smaller, more lightweight, feels slightly better build quality wise, and will have a lot longer batter. But I think this laptop has a dramatically better screen, equal keyboard, better touchpad, as good of build quality even though it is thicker and doesn’t feel as solid is still made from aluminum. Plus you can upgrade the SSD. Has a few more ports. Personally, I just bought the M3 15” MacBook Air and absolutely love it. But it was expensive AF. If I was sticking to Windows only and didn’t already have the Q410 I would buy the Q420 over anything else. But some would also bring up the Dell XPS, LG Gram, and ROG Zephyrus which I’ve heard good things about. But haven’t tried. But ideally, I would look to see if you can find an Asus ZenBook 14 with the new Intel Ultra chips. Which are supposed to be more energy efficient like the M series from Apple. But we are still at the infancy of those chips. So there isn’t a lot known about them. But they seem to be pretty awesome and is the future.
Hey man. I might be a little late. I love this keyboard so far, but been having issues with the knob. Every time i turn it to left or right it just turns off my pc or sometimes just puts it in standby mode. Any idea what the issue might be?
That is wild and definitely shouldn’t be happening. My guess is that something is shorting out which is then causing your PC freak out from electricity overload. Which is super bad. But I’d expect that to be localized to your keyboard and not travel down the cable. Unless if you found some software that changes keybinds. I’d reach out to their support team. Or if you have another PC test it out on that. If it happens on that PC too then it definitely is the keyboard. What other symptoms are you having with the keyboard? Like bluescreen? What happens if you are wireless over wired (as I’m assuming wired)?
@@ThomasMuehler I appreciate you getting back to me! I ended up changing wired to BT, and switching it back to wired and its working fine now as a volume knob.
