Make Use of Your Extra Display Port With This Display Port to USB-C Cable

Today, we'll be looking at Silklands USB-C to Display Port 1.4 Cable. Honestly, I wish I would have gotten this sooner as I much prefer it over the typical USB-C to HDMI cable. Or even HDMI to HDMI. As it is plug and play, with full speeds, and great colors. They used good quality components and it comes in at an affordable price. It does require you to have a USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 or above, or Thunderbolt 3, or Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port.

Yes, that should work. Assuming the Android phones supports USB-C Protocol. Which it should.

What I see on a lot of Thunderbolt cards is 2 DP in ports. Do those have any connectivity other than for monitors? I know with Thunderbolt 2 they were used also as data connectors on some computers. It is just on a lot of cards I see it seems like I would have two basically useless ports unless I can use them for something other than displays like I can with the USB C ports. I have a Gigabyte Titan Ridge 2.0 (that is revision 2.0) and I am not really sure if the 2 display ports are usable in any way. I know I can use the type C for anything. It is just when trying to find a card they all have those 2 Display ports. I am someone who only uses one monitor so you can imagine that it is a lot of extra to me

From my understanding (not an expert) I don’t think you can do anything other than display stuff with display ports. I think you could tie in multiple displays and then have it come out on a single display with those types of cards. But other than that (such as data) I don’t think so. So, it does seem like a wasted port for you.
