  • This is the Epomaker x Aula F75 keyboard. I was interested in this guy for a few different reasons. First, it is a 75% keyboard, which is my personal favorite size. Second, it has a gasket structure and hot-swap functionality which means it should sound and feel sublime. Third, it has three-way connectivity which includes USB-C, 2.4 GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 5.0 along with Mac, Windows, and Android support. Last, the price. It comes in at $69.99.

      I appreciate you looking out for me. If it was my 3800X I absolutely agree. I don't remember what is in my description. I've got a Intel-14700F right now. Along with a 5800X in another PC. @@ThomasMuehler Currently i'm building a Pc with a 7600x along with a 6700xt, I also have a 32Gb kit of ddr5 ram but I forgot what brand, 6000mhz. I was just worried because your description said that you had a 5900x and a 4090.

      @ThomasMuehler  Před 2 měsíci

      @@Simply-Smile Nice! Sounds like a good PC!
      The 5900X actually did pretty good with the 4090. Especially, for the price as I think I got it on sale for like $250 and didn't need a motherboard or RAM upgrade. The Intel-14700F does better. The bump from that to the 7800X3D or something is not worth the tremendous increase in cost (Motherboard, RAM, CPU). As the increase in frames is minimal for the price. Or at least in my opinion when I looked last. But in general didn't go into this PC build with the best plan. More like I got an invitation for a 4090 and always dreamed of owning a Halo card that was stock from Nvidia that had a very limited time to say yes too. It fell in my lap, I was able to afford it. But wasn't able to afford building a completely new rig. So kind of piecemealed together over time. So... like no intelligence went into the decision. More an opportunity arose, I took it, and tried to figure out everything else as I went.

    wireless keyboards are really tempting, how's the polling rate and latency with 2.4? great review 🙌

    • @ThomasMuehler
      @ThomasMuehler  Před 11 dny +1

      Polling rate is 1,000 Hz. I found latency to be good. Where in normal casual gaming I wouldn't notice anything. But I think I noticed it not being as responsive for the highly competitive games as wired. But most people would say that is placebo and not something I could actually notice. But not enough to make like a make it or break it type thing.
      Put simply. Latency for normal use zero issues. For causal gaming zero issues. For competitive gaming, if I'm splitting hairs, yes a difference. But not enough to be significant.

      That is wild and definitely shouldn’t be happening. My guess is that something is shorting out which is then causing your PC freak out from electricity overload. Which is super bad. But I’d expect that to be localized to your keyboard and not travel down the cable. Unless if you found some software that changes keybinds. I’d reach out to their support team. Or if you have another PC test it out on that. If it happens on that PC too then it definitely is the keyboard. What other symptoms are you having with the keyboard? Like bluescreen? There are three ways to use this keyboard.
      1. USB-A to USB-C. The USB-C side goes into the keyboard. The USB-A side (which all computers have... for the most part) is what would plug into the PC. The keyboard knob would be in the center.
      2. It has a USA-A Wireless Dongle. Which would also plug into your PC. Then switch the keyboard to the Wireless mode.
