We have video of its APS intercepting what appears to be an RPG rocket so it does "work" but for all we know it could be based on old tech like drozd and be basically useless against most modern threats. Compromise physical armor that NK can at least produce a decent version of for what is probably at best 1980s level APS technology? It definitely has promise and is likely better performing than their previous best tank, the pokpung ho, but that's a _really_ low bar to reach as it is since that tank is basically a slightly better T-62M. The only somewhat decent thing about M2020 is the high likelihood of it having thermals though even these are probably gen1 imagers secretly imported from china for cost cutting measures. All the images are hard to look at in detail, but based on the weld locations, the composites appear to be quite thin as well, even on the turret. The bolted on ERA panels that weren't seen on the original version from the 2020 parade may help, but these could be anything from old kontakt-1 based designs seen on their older tanks to possibly FY-4/kontakt-5 based designs from russia/china.

I submit this before watchin the vid, which I am sure is good. IF your fire control sucks compared to your opponents, THEN you have to shoot and produce a lot more rounds. One guided Excalibur round can replace several unguided rounds, and that helps s sh*tload with the logistics as well. Transporting 90 pound rounds ain't cheap.

80% of russian artillery shells don't hit anything of value in rural areas, precision is a better way to go, less shells needed to do serious damage. Biden & blinken overpromised and under delivered for Ukraine, they keep slow walking everything, neither side seems to have the advantage anymore. Cheap off the shelf drones are probably the wave of the future when it comes to dealing with large armored formations, convoys and troop concentrations, you don't need a A-10 to take out a T-90 tank when a $20 shaped charge dropped from a drone at night will do.
