To all current and future RV owners. Don't fall for any RV that has a Luan skin. Make sure that the RV you buy has either an Azdel, fiberglass, or aluminum skin. Luan is nothing but a gel coated fiberboard, that WILL delaminate in a short amount of time.

This is nice. I would rip out the benches, put a small loveseat on one side and mount a tv under the shelf on the kitchen side and place a fireplace at the bottom. Possibly put up a thick curtain across the back for privacy and maybe paint the cabinets to give it a tiny house feel. This may be the one I’ve been searching for. No slides….no maintenance….no issues, with the slide that is. Thanks Josh. I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for showing every aspect of rv’s and not just the bells and whistles.

Question. i live Austin TX. i visited 2 rv dealerships here Blue Compass and Crestview. Blue compass told me had to use credit to get good deal. They went from 8.5 to 10.5 interest rates (have 825 credit score so thats not issue). i think bank giving them 8.5% amd then jacking up to 10.5% interest to make more money from me. Just too many sketchy practices Blue Compass has bought out most dealerships in my area. Crestview told me (getting an inspector for my peace of mind) that inspector had to have this checklist to do before coming on the property. sales person would not even show me more rv’s. Anyway i never owned rv but researched hours etc Single 63 yr old female and want to live full time but will not buy truck to haul myself. just move 2 x year around this area and just hire someone to move me. As much as i researched I would feel very comfortable using Bish to buy from. i also looked at prices to haul trailer from out if state and really not that expensive. So are you a salesperson at one location that can help me make a decision?? congrats to Bish for having so many great reviews!

Can you order this model without the oven? And, also without the outdoor fridge for more outdoor storage?

I own this model and I’m obsessed with it. We put the bed up every morning because it gives so much space back. Definitely needed the storage outside instead of camp kitchen. Ladder for top bunk is on my shopping list though. @joshthervnerd I watched countless videos of yours before buying this one!!

Love your videos and the info you provide in a fun format, and my wife insists that when we are ready to purchase an RV it will be from a Bish’s location. However, the problem with any website where they want to email you the ‘best price’ is that it never stops with just that one email. It puts you on a mailing list and next thing you know your mailbox is filed with daily emails from places you may have asked a single question one year ago and now you have 365 marketing emails. And it seems no mater how many times you hit ‘unsubscribe’ the emails keep coming….

Solid review again! Given I have a 1/2 ton, the wife and I are stuck between this unit or the Alliance Delta 251BH for our first camper. If it were you, would you pick one over the other for a family of 4 first camper?

Well, a couple of things come to mind. The first is regarding the campgrounds with the happy bear. They are not the only ones that have jumped on the money train and have raised their prices, as you have noted. I have an old business acquaintance that was in the car business, and he used to remind me “that pigs get fat, but hogs get eaten”. So, with some of these campgrounds that have doubled their prices that too will come to an end. As far as holding money on reservations goes, I find that an issue. We try to book out a couple of weeks when we can and of course if you are coming to FL over the winter you need to have a reservation way ahead of time. That is understandable. Even then, if you are not hell bent on staying in any particular city on one particular day there really isn’t much of an issue getting a site. But motorhomes do sometime have an issue that comes up, like a “check engine light”. As you are aware you just don’t show up at the local Freightliner or Spartan dealership and get same day service. So how can I possibly keep a schedule when that happens. Besides if the industry is doing so good then they really shouldn’t have any issue with rebooking the site to someone else. Remember “that pigs get fat, but hogs get eaten”. There will come a day when they wish they had treated folks a bit kinder. KOA comes to mind. So, you rent a campsite and it is for two adults, I understand that. My hotel room is the same way. But if I wanted to have you and your wife up to my room to play cards one evening, the hotel doesn’t charge me $5 for each of you. Yet KOA does. Again, I understand if you and your wife come over to the KOA with three kids and use the pool and all of the other facilities, claiming as guest to my site, but to come to my motorhome and play cards or eat dinner that is ridiculous.

I really like the layout of the Rockwood in this video! Any other small bunkhouse trailers (with a similar small room) in the 30ft/half ton towable range? I’m so surprised that I haven’t seen many manufacturers tap into this type of layout.

23:20 We got s truck camper and almost never use campgrounds. If we have to pay $70/ night or even $50/night for a piece of dirt, plus all the other costs of RVing; we would sell the RV and buy a car to travel and stay in motels. If dispersed campsites go away, we are done with RVing.

Wow, for a really small TT that is a bunkhouse, true queen, some nice features and at an excellent price, $15K are you kidding me, this is a winner. The 1,000lbs CCC is not an issue given you are towing with a truck no worries. For a family starting out that want to move up from a tent or getting into camping for the first time no question this is on the list.

I like the look of the fiberglass one. My old one was a tin skin. I didn't like the way all the ridges collected dirt. It's really cute.

On the Apex Nano, is there the option to have an awning to goes all the way to the rear? More coverage is nicer in the sun and rain. Also, thanks for the video!
