I REALLY appreciate you going to so much trouble to show travel access. Seeing that I could use the microwave to at least get hot water for an instant coffee on the road, that’s priceless! Thank you!
You are welcome!
I agree. The extra step of showing road mode would clear up whats on my list to purchase.
“Road mode” access is important!
I would REALLY like to see them move the tank heater switch to the living area with the other switches, to get it away from shifting cargo. But also because if I am surprised by a colder night then I was expecting. It would be nice to not have to go outside and fumbled around the cargo to turn it on.
I prefer all switches in one spot myself
Love the 2 burner stove leaves room for a dish rack . 32:22
The wife loves the pass thru bathroom, shut the front sliding door, and have all the room to get dressed .
Put a larger window on the side and a window that opens in the dor for cross ventilation or a window in the front that opeans
Definitely drop down TV mount
👍🏻
Good job Josh no oven no buy. It’s like a 4x4 you may only need it once but I want it.
Get an airfryer oven for the counter. Mine fits a full pizza and also reheats my fries quick and crispy. I use my homes actual oven once a year maybe.
I like that extra space in the bedroom, with the window to allow for cross breeze and space to move around and access under bed storage.
Josh: This IS a very nice travel access trailer. It definitely meets the truck stop or rest stop rolling bed, head and mess criteria without deploying the slide out. The three zone compartmentalizing is a plus. Overall, the RV looks like it was designed by an engineering team that actually goes camping. Respectfully, W.S.
Add an oven and put doors on the dinette storage are my first impressions. You're right about the swing down TV.
I totally agree Only I would love to have pull out drawers in the dining area under the seats. so no one has to get up if you need something in there when you are eating etc ...
Ember making a name for itself
Not bad but I love our three burner stove top, our oven, our wardrobe slide. Just saying…
I think this Ember is nice. Very spacious. I like the walk through bathroom. Thank you Josh for showing this.
You are so welcome!
Love the drawer cabinet at kitchen entrance. Perfect place to drop things in the camper without having to go all the way in.
Like this floor plan alot. Too big for me but.... I like it.
I also love a walk thru bath. Makes so much sense
Both entry doors should have clear windows with shades in them. I hate entry doors with no windows.
Also are they going to put in a drawer under the bench seat?
Love Azdell, appreciate lighting, love closed access, love 2 burner, love multi use oven-micro-frier, appreciate the counter space, enjoy window over camp site, love pocket doors, Need outdoor cooking option and don't see how to do that in any way. Even an attachable table top with outlets would work. Will love it shorter! Thanks for showing, Good Job Ember
TY for taking the time to watch and share
Love this so much. Would LOVE to see the TV fixed with 2 slim tall windows on either side of the dinette and the tv in the middle, rather than that middle window. Even a 3rd valance window over top of the lowered tv in that dinette area would give a lot of window coverage. Make the top drawer in the shoe area into 2 drawers. Don't get rid of all that extra bedroom space, Maybe 3-4 inches would be ok but I would LOVE to have the big bedroom space and would pay more for it. You're already paying more since its better quality and I think the buyers that look at Ember would pay more for the room. Ember did awesome here!
Oooh ... interesting idea on the TV there. Thank you for that
Imagine that! A new Ember model! It's pretty nice. Not sure how I feel about no oven, and only 2 burners, but I'm sure it'll work for many. TV has to at least tilt down, if not drop down.
Imagine that lol
I love it just the way it is. I wish they wouldn't make it shorter.
Excellent execution by Ember. I agree with all your suggestions, Josh. However, I'd like to see a little more camp side window coverage. Maybe make the dinette one larger? And a window on the rear door to bring in the outdoors and not feel cramped. Also, definitely doors on the bathroom storage.
Still no lights in the Ember Emblem, but other than that missed opportunity it's a great looking setup!
And yeah, that TV setup totally needs a mantle mount to keep the swivel but give you the out and down option too!
And hey, how about not putting the microwave right above the stove. A, it's safer to not hang youself over a stovetop with stuff cooking on it, and B, they could move it to the left and into a Road Mode accessable location.
Nailed it overall but a few digestions;
1. Copy/Paste with the current length and make it a Touring Edition.
2. Move the overhead cabinets to the interior wall to make the dinette window bigger. Then throw the Moryde ceiling flush fold tv mount up and in the down position it will be relatively in the same place it is now but can lower it.
3. King and Twin Bed (drink) option in the Touring Edition version.
4. Playing with the dimensions, see if w/d prep is possible in the large bathroom cabinet.
5. Use the convection microwave/cooktop combo unit. Lowers the microwave for disabled and too-short-enough people and gets extra storage.
I think they’re finding some places where it makes sense to have a juiced up touring edition for sure
Like how big the kitchen is for how samll this camper is. Love to see the xl vet fan In the bedroom. Like the cabinets. The bathroom Is great. Hate does not have a oven. Like the all of the storage in the bedroom. Like that you can got solar panels. Like this one. Have a good day josh!
I like this very much. I agree with you about the tv being too high (mine is too.) That is the only thing that I see that I would like to see changed. Moving the bedroom window into the door solves a problem i wouldn't have thought of right away. Sounds like a good plan. Thanks for the tour
Ty!
Love this one! Would prefer a different dining/desk situation and def agree with the known changes.
Awesome Ty
Glad to see they are getting their cargo numbers up.
Eseries has generally been good for it
I wish the microwave/ convection oven was bigger and the back cushions on the dinette won't up higher. It looks like something you wouldn't lean back on.
I'm sure a lot of people would disagree with me on this, but I love that there are few windows and they aren't large. I care more about insulation than being able to see out everywhere.
i dont think enough people realize how right you are about this though
Let’s move the TV to the wall above dinette bench and make another storage compartment.
I like the dinette . It would be great to be able to lower the TV.
Really love a lot about this! Would prefer a free standing table and chairs. Outside storage appears small.
I like the shorter length easier to get into national parks. And half ton towable.
Would never consider an RV without an oven. Its not even one of their overland rv's either.
Totally agree. No oven, no travel trailer!!
We've never used our oven once. I guess, I should give it try🤷♀️
Get an airfryer oven for the counter. Mine fits a full pizza and also reheats my fries quick and crispy. I use my homes actual oven once a year maybe.
I agree. Nothing else works without power.
This RV has a microwave/convection /air fryer oven above the stove. I have a countertop electric oven that I use in mine. I use it more than I did the propane oven in my first camper. I love that I can tuck it away when not in use. I pull it out all the time and use it just like I would any conventional oven.
I like this rig! Great kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Lots of storage, including a real pantry 🙂. So much storage, I would prefer to lose the 2 drawers under the counter behind the dinette and leave it open for possible desk use or for a small dog bed or feline restroom containment area. Heck, with that open space it could even be a boot barracks 🥾 instead of a flipflop shop ...
Boot barracks!!
I would like a "U" shapped dinette, they make so much sense to me. I would like to delet the bedroom door all together. Love the tow mode, one fluid dump connet and the floor plan.
I like a lot of the things I'm seeing from Ember, but for now I'll keep my Rockwood 2608BS for couples camping.
Hey. Rockwood rocks. You got a good one
Would appreciate the TV tilting down for sure! We like the layout and features. C'mon, Ember, put a window in the main door!!!
Would definitely want the drop down tv mount and would love a free standing table option instead of the bench
TY
it's nice to get feedback before they make their final changes, but only if they take the viewers info into consideration.
They have a history of doing just that
Better than most apartments.
😂
Hey Josh, thank you for taking so much time walking though all the units. This one is a very good fit for me and I’m excited by the layout!!
You’ve mentioned the manufacturer is open to our comments…here I go. The one thing that turns me off , the tv is too small and yes I wish someone would add a system to lower the tv to be confortable eye level !!
Love the AC unit and its features!!
And the mega fans front and back of the unit.
If the price comes down 1200$ , I’m ok with a smaller bedroom, and if it stays the way it is and 1200$ more , I’m ok with that as well. Love the dimmers!! I wouldn’t mind there being drawers under the bed. Love the way the structure and shell are built, wish they would upgrade de suspension and adding ABS disc brakes. Love all the prep possibilities/ cameras / solar…looks great as well.
Regards from Canada
So far I haven't seen ABS on RVs jive with disc brakes but I'm sure it can happen.. just HASN'T quite yet
I’ll take the toothpick counter in the bathroom--it comes with a wonderful window!!!!
👍🏻
Somebody still needs to come up with a microwave that has a right-swinging door and left side control panel
Mount it upside down 😂
I'm 6'6" and have been inside $2mill RVs that the shower was unusable. So 6'10" sounds awesome to me. I'd prefer to lose the slide, save the weight, keep the layout, move the stove and microwave.
Amazing how many misses you still find on big budget rigs
I like this! The smaller cook top and oven less kitchen works for me. I do all cooking outdoors anyway. Definitely allow the TV to drop down. I've never understood why manufacturers put in such a small gray tank. Thirty-five gallons fills very quickly.
Hi Josh, thanks for another great review. Personally, I would really like to see them keep the same length. It gives those of us who are on the larger side extra room to maneuver in the bedroom. Also, I like the two burner stove top in the kitchen. Not everybody does a lot of cooking and I really like the extra added counterspace. I also love the fact that there is no oven which allows a lot more storage space. Ember did a great job with this trailer. I just hope they don’t screw it up by shortening it too much. I really love the roominess of the bedroom.
I've been in the updated "trimmed" Version - and it's totally fine
Shortening it is ok as long as the GVWR is not diminished...that way you would get a few extra lbs of storage or in my case room for a buffer to not overload the RV.
GVWR stays the same
I really like what Ember has been doing lately. Between them and Brinkley I'm very excited to see what new models we'll see this year!
I do insist a floorplan like this has an oven. I feel like the kitchen is big enough and the storage is plentiful, so the minor loss by putting in the propane oven wouldn't be missed as much as in some other small trailers or overland units. It just makes no sense to remove it, for me anyway. I've tried using convection microwaves and they're WAY too small for any practical cooking!
Definitely like the AC remote, more brands should integrate that where available. And I do like their decision to shrink the length given how they can do it without sacrificing anything functional.
Tr Nick! I wonder if they’ll do a touring version of this
There is a RV floor plan that NO manufacture is making that I know. It is very unique I should copyright/patent it ! I know it would be a big hit and easy to implement !
This is a handsome unit. But it does need a door window, a larger rear window, and yes, an oven. I like the kitchen dinette so all seating can have a view to the camp side.
Yes on the tv rotating down, good to see dimmers on lights, and I like the step they have spec'd for rear door much better. On bathroom cabinets, I like the lower one that is beside the sink, wish they would either do away with upper one or down size it to where it is a floating cabinet on wall that would give you back the counter space like the Imagine does but with the closed cabinet design Ember has got here. I like the Ember design in the bathroom much better, but my wife needs more counter space when getting ready. Like many traveling couples, she uses the shower and bathroom to get ready, I head to the bath house. Counter space is a key selling feature for my wife and the first thing she looks at. I wish they would bring the "utility station" up front and in the pass through like Imagine does, but that is not a deal breaker for me. Maybe I missed it, but are they doing a tankless water heater like we are seeing in a lot of travel trailers in this level now? The single hook up sewer is a HUGE thumbs up. I am seriously looking at a upgrading my 22RBE to a 23LDE, but this is making me reconsider.....
Thank you for watching!
Yay the awnings out thank you so much
You're so welcome!
They need to duct that AC. The dinette is fine. Loose the toe kick on the slide. TV does need to drop down. Needs a fireplace. Thanks Josh. Ember is the closest to a perfect build in materials. I’d like to see an upgraded Touring Edition.
A/C is getting updated
It is ducted Josh said. I’d prefer a more reliable quality AC over ducting. Those cost over thousands to replace.
Pretty similar to the 2004 Prowler my parents had. They really enjoyed it.
At 5’ 2”, that microwave is in the clouds! I can barely reach the one in our current rig with 6’6” ceiling. Also would like an oven. We cook 99% of our meals. Need that oven!
Ty Nancy for the info
I like it! We have a rear kitchen model already but this ember is really sharp!
To your point on nightstands - my wife and I are currently shopping and the truth is when we see a floor plan without nightstands, we don’t even watch the video. To each their own, but it is sometimes confounding to me to see a gorgeous and spacious RV with no nightstands or any type of bedside storage. I think the way to look at it is not “are nightstands worth an additional $1500”, but would I pay an additional $1500 for a complete and properly outfitted RV that best mimics the creature comforts of home.
Awesome Input. Ty so much for this
Thanks Nerd! I like what they are doing here!!
My pleasure!
It looks great!
TY!
Nice but I want the propane stove top and oven for boondocking.
👍🏻
this one checks all of the major boxes with the possible exception of tires/ suspension (if you gave that info i missed itt 😀)
there are a couple of lesser things to nitpick I wanted to but I score this one at 90%
Man.. that’s a solid A-!
Saw the first one on the road the other day , looks like it was towing easy behind a half ton
Perfect! The only two things I'd do on this one is, add a collapsible seat in the shower and add more solar! Oh, and put larger tanks in the front.
I have a Sonic with basically the same floorplan (dinette booth and couch are reversed) and it is good for my wife and I. I would like to have a rear bath bu would need to trade up to a Transcend that is 3 ft longer. Overall that size is easy to tow and back up.
I know that awning could fit over to the other side of the window
👍 GREAT SOLAR- boondoggle ready thanks for the plug in to run more solar now this has my attention - I wish more manufacturers would go this way. This is a Hit ❤
Woo! 🙌🏻
tv can come all the way down into a TV lift station with a fireplace. Then create a bar-top to eat at. Most people eat on their laps. dinette are notoriously uncomfortable. Windows in a the doors is a must. I would add a window up high for the bathroom as well, always nice for fresh air in a bathroom for obvious reasons. I also think a 2nd window on the back behind the stove.
TY Tom!
This model has an uncanny resemblance to my Imagine 23LDE. While there are a few nice changes in this model, I would still go for the Imagine, which has a proper internal docking station, a bigger sofa for three and has a better slide mechanism without cables.
Yeah definitely similar for sure. Ty for the feedback as an owner
#RVNerdHerd 🎉 😊 🎉
Very nice shower size too! 30” x 36” is big enough for adult use. Sounds silly, but at a recent RV show if found several too short and small. I’m not a big guy, almost 5’ 11’ and under 200 pounds, and some were simply unusable. I’m curious if this comes with their Max Solar Package. Edits for Ember: TV - I USE a nice 4K TV as a monitor, I’d love to see a TV on the wall against the bathroom. That way I could pull it out and use as a monitor, my kids could use it for gaming, and while only one dinette side could see it, it could pivot out for couch viewing. Oh… and the dinette table, if you could find or source a table that could be lowered an inch or so, or just provide the table top under a seat to use as a bed (when converted) and let us purchase one of those tables that adjust. 😊
SO MANY motorhome showers are even smaller still. It's crazy
@@JoshtheRVNerd - True, but this would work. Some were like 30” x 20” and while I fit, reaching around was impossible. Off question, when you do your RV walk and talks, you see class B’s in the background but I don’t remember seeing them in your videos. Why? That is a booming market!
I like this model. Would be great if they would add the shower miser.
If Ember ever decided to sell merch, the "Use common sense" sticker should be at the top of the list.
Amazing idea
Love your honesty in your videos. Love this layout! Like the vent fan, 2 burner stove and convection/air fryer microwave in the kitchen. We would add a window to the kitchen window. Drop or angle TV down. Love the large bathroom with the closet in it! We would be fine with no window on the door side instead of putting a window in the bedroom door. This is the ONLY model we have seen that we like as well as our Winnebago Mini Winnie 2401RG.
Do they ever sell the prototypes?
Yeah protos sell off usually eventually. Call our team at 800-256-5196 and they can look into the potential for you
Another Ember floorplan loaded with quality standard features👍but no residential table and chairs or sofa “option” for the outdated “1950’s diner” booth dinette is a huge miss🫤
I like the floor plan, but I think GD still does it best.
The LDE is fantastic
I do not like the box by the door. That's a deal breaker for me. Just some feedback about the bathroom, I wish Ember would go with a nicer sink. Maybe brushed nickel. I know it adds a few bucks, but it's just one of those touches that would be nice.
Frig as soon as you said the name Sinbad, that was the first thing I was hoping you would bring up...some mandella effect goodness! You are darn right it exists.
On a side note...the trailer. Love the kitchen...love the 2 burner back to back decision. Entry is super. Hate dinettes! Most of the time it isn't comfortable for 4 adults. Adjustable desk/table setup....might help fix that ridiculous spot for the tv....maybe a corner thingy....dunno. The you got to the bathroom. I think they could have put the crapper where the storage is...I get it's likely due to the drain in conjuction to the shower. but then a privacy wall could be put up...it's a little weird for my liking. Pretty slick rig though!
Tnx again brother!
KAZAAM! ⚡️
good video josh
Thanks!
Put a full stove oven in it.
“Shinking”😂. You wrote shinking the rv, instead of shrinking. BUT ANYWAY, you do great work presenting all these rvs. We never thought we would be so pleasantly eager to watch these videos…sometimes we do it just for the jokes!! You are part of the family here in Alaska, Josh!!
Oh, and YES, the tv should be able to swing down. Please share with Ember!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
A lot to like, well done. The interior decor is a little safe though, very similar to Grand Design. Ember needs to establish their own identity. Also, really hoping for smaller trailers. #nerdherd Thanks Josh!
Ashley who founded the company does their interiors. Has always done them from the ground up
As a couples trailer I would live a normal stove top, but have a sit at island. I have never seen an RV with theater seating and no dinning room, would rather have a bigger bedroom, bathroom or kitchen and not have a dinning room table.
TY!
We exclusively park camp. Everyone i know exclusively park camps. I like the idea of an induction 2- burner atove better than the old school propane. We use an induction cooktop on top of our glass oven cover.
TV too high for sure. Easy fix.
Why do they use Victron? It's a good brand but way more expensive than necessary for this application.
I wouldn't buy an RV with the bed in the coffin. I sleep on my side and need a place to throw my arm while sleeping.
I much prefer the extra space in the bedroom. That's one of the drawbacks of our current camper. It's a scoot around bed, not a walkaround.
I like the bathroom.
I’ve had a growing number of induction cooker requests
@JoshtheRVNerd we have it at home and love it. Instant heat and very easy to control. It also doesn't heat up the kitchen like a gas or electric cooktop.
One of my requirements for our new camper was an outside kitchen for cooking. We got it and have never even turned it on because we just use a portable induction plate. Why use my propane when I have electricity available?
There's just not that much off-grid camping going on in the southeast. I don't know a single person who buys a $50k camper, and then camps off-grid, yet RV builders keep building like we all live in Utah.
I wonder if Ember could do up their bunk system with the ramp like on the overland series; but also slap opposing slides into it?
I feel like they're not afraid to try!
I think A+ travel access is a little generous. Am thinking B.. I do like the space compared to weight.. I need to be under 6,500 lbs for toyota tacoma
yeah little lighter there would be a good idea
Very nice camper! Do you think you could sneak an Olympic queen bed in there? It's definitely one worth looking into! Thanks Nerd!
I don’t think there’s room for the Olympic queen here
Please, ditch the dinette. Would love a modern countertop/desk that you can sit at with a televator and larger TV. Next, ditch the sealed membrane countertop for a solid surface top. Stove is fine! Big no on the folding ladder!!! And of course, the theater seats without a folding middle arm is a NO!
How about the TV mounted on a swing arm on the wall by the thermostat? And an "L shaped dinette under the window? It would make for great rainy day movie night seating!
And more cabinet space OR a massive camp side window!
🤔 I could see it!
I wonder if it would be possible to move the control panel into that upper cabinet above it so you could make the wooden box sitting on the countertop even smaller?
Not sure but I think it’s a fair idea
Just me and the dog so I would drop down the table, remove the cushions, lay a table cloth on it, put a big screen tv there. If it sits too low put a tv stand there to sit it on.
I love rear kitchens, but they really need windows in the doors given the limited camp side window coverage. I do like the convection/air fryer micro instead of the oven, I hate ovens which is why our Newmar is all electric.
A class a coach with an on board generator, inverter, etc is in a little different class and situation I’d think
Turn the
Pivot mechanissm sideways and it will drop down a bit.
That’s what I’ve been asking them to do for a while
Hey Josh, thanks for the early look. I like this size and layout...is there any chance they are going to make a touring edition version?
It's not impossible but I don't know of any current plans
Prefer fold out entry stairs on both sides for those who have minimal storage space. I feel as though if needed the lift up stairs would touch my fence when stored on the side of my home
Also when removing the bedroom window it prevents fresh air flow but I guess you can use the fan when it’s not blazing hot in the summer. Speaking of fan, not a fan of bedroom door windows (too much light). Window needed in kitchen door instead
ok I love it, but the drawers by the door come out and a chair goes there for a desk, for you know. ..... radios .
👍🏻
Can they make a bracket for the tv that pulls out and down so it is more easy to watch. Yes it may block some of the window but you can lift it a push it back when not watching i
It 100% exists. I'm guessing it costs more than they want to invest
I would have bought it instead of the Imagine. We have had several problems with the Imagine
Sorry to hear that. What kind of things have you encountered?
@@JoshtheRVNerd A/C quit , 1st trip. Table was broken when we bought it and took 3 weeks to replace. Laminent is coming off table. Water heater quit , 1st trip out. Awning would not roll up correctly and was replaced but same thing still exists. Outside dog wash (by rear door) has leaked since new and I tightend twice. Finally replace silicon washer that had been installed crooked.
@@N-Scale- Most of those would be components purchased from another manufacturer, so not entirely GD’s fault. The table I would guess would be the exception as many make their counters, cabinets, etc. in-house. That is scary but common. Foil wrapped counters and wood can be problematic. One RV we visited at a campground had the under-mounted sink drop because the particle board under the foil got wet loosening the screws. I’ve seen people cutting thinks who accidentally left cuts into the foil wrapped counter tops too.
@@Erin-Thor That is no excuse
@@N-Scale - I half agree, but that is the American way, even Airstream builds RV’s to barely last through the 2 year warranty period. Every RV manufacturer builds with profit in mind. Why spend $2900 for an AC system with a ten year warranty when they can spend $1300 on a unit that will last just past the warranty period? Why use a larger more expensive microwave when you can get a smaller one for pocket change? Notice in this he said it had a plywood floor, when other Embers use a composite floor that will not leak or rot? A. $. Blaming GD for making RV’s and using the same components every other manufacturer does isn’t fair. With my Airstream. I would drive across country to a dealer whose shop staff seemed more honest. I was on my second winch and he said you don’t want the one Airstream uses, it uses nylon gears ⚙️, you want this one as it has metal gears and will last 4x as long. Ditto for the water heater, refrigerator and AC unit. Cheers friend, we will have to agree to disagree. 😎
You know, Uncle Josh.. Uncle AL is sitting her in humbled peace looking at Embers. Everything and more and done right! ✔️
Only gripe with is same as always. Great child but oh lord no were not getting school pictures. Man that decore.. Lets light a match off the formicka! 😅
Industry things like a small TV or shylight in the shower.. Please stop with these and spend the money fluffing up the seating..
Just a thought: as it sits one could take that death-wafer matress and store it along the wall for extra guests when they come along. Everyone will replace it anyway but id bet you could toss it it on the floor in the sitting area or kitchen for the extra guests. And on that note a trifold option?
Just stain the wood grey and change the flooring and we got a winner!
Can see space for 2 drawers left and right of sink, need min 3 burner would like 4 burner with oven. They need to fix the Tv. Skip the ugly can lights. Put a backsplash behind sinks, cabinets and walls last longer. TV in bedroom ?
Bedroom has tv hookups but it’s not included standard
I like this model but if the bedroom window goes away so does the cross ventilation in the bedroom. I would rather have the bedroom door go away. Just my two cents….
That's great feedback TY
Is the xl vet fan optionle or standard in the bedroom?
This is basically all standard you see here
If they are using the BAL Exacta-Slide.....Road Mode is that much better....
Please verify this, but I believe gentle usage is okay with the slide in using that system
This is correct and it’s information that’s only just become known to me
Hello Josh the rv nerd, I wanted to know what is the length and weight of the 2024 jayco jayflight 225mls
Specs here m.czcams.com/video/sgXqYK2puCU/video.html
