Built Differently in a BUNCH of Ways!! Brinkley Model G Factory Construction Tour

- As one of the "newer kids on the block" there have been a lot of questions as to how Brinkley RV makes their Model G fifth wheel toy haulers. I was granted access behind the scenes & able to showcase a LOT of different ways Brinkley goes about construction their RVs
I know this video is LONG, but I also know if I were going to spend that kind of money on an RV, then I'd also want to know exactly what I was getting for my money and would want all the details I could possibly get myself!

Brinkley is exactly what the RV industry needed!
Glad you like them!
You don’t think it’s way too soon to say that? Genuinely curious if the new wears off and it was all great marketing and public relations.
Phenomenal build quality! I love that they’re thinking about years beyond when you buy it!
@@johnnyquest8710 but it will take years to know if it worked.
@@johnnyquest8710 Exactly! Not many manufacturers do that, plus they have already been in business for over a year now. They have done nothing but improve the quality and take care of their customers extremely well.
Brinkley continues to impress me more with each look.
I picked up stuff going thru this I wasn't even aware of previously!
We bought a Brinkley because of your very first video for Brinkley Josh!
Wow congrats! TY for the vote of confidence! :)
Mind dropping me a quick "thank you" review at g.page/r/CdPcitNVx2nDEAg/review for the helping hand? Costs you nothing and I do appreciate it!
Thank you for putting your trust in us and thank you to Josh!
Hey look Brinkley got an hour and 1/2 ad. Great Job Uncle Josh and thanks Brinkley. Now i just need that rich uncle to deliver the money.
Brinkley's PDI is insane. This is a company that really cares about their employees and their products. Thanks again for making this video.
love the fact all the water lines have shut off bravo
I’m only a few minutes in and I’m guessing Grand Design and the others hate the fact that this video is out there ha. This sells me even more on the 3950
Thanks Brinkley and josh for the tour - it’s nice to see that there are still company’s out there dedicated to quality
Our pleasure!
Love the Brinkley video. The rest of the RV industry has a long ways to go. Wire harnesses have been in the airline industry for years, easier to found and fix electrical problems. Brass plumbing connections instead of plastic. Its all worth the price.
Thanks Josh.
TY!
1) One word…… QUALITY!
2) Thank you Brinkley for allowing Josh to make this video. By doing so you are boldly and proudly showing your quality for prospective buyers.
3) Thank you Josh for your time and efforts in producing this project. It’s easy to see that it took a lot of work.
4) To answer your earlier question. YES! I would love to see full in depth videos from every manufacturer on how they build their RV’s. I found this to be very interesting and informative. These videos puts the manufacturers in the spotlight. Those who are confident in theirs builds should not have any trouble with you filming the tour. Those who hesitate or say no…. Well, that there alone should speak loudly of theirs quality, or should I say, lack of and therefore perhaps the consumer should stay clear of purchasing.
5) Josh, you always say that you want people to make their second purchase the first time around. Seems to me, you will save money in the long run following your advice. After watching this video showing their quality; for those who really want to buy and be in this lifestyle, I’d say….. if you buy a Brinkley, it’s one and done. Buy once, you buy for a lifetime. Worth the money spent.
6) Again, Thank you Josh and thank you Brinkley. You are definitely on my potential buy list.
TY for yet another visit! I appreciate you!
Once again, you have out done yourself. Thanks to you, Bish and Brinkley for all that was involved in the making of this video.
Thanks again!
Thank you Brinkley. Thank you Josh. I love the detailed look at the making of a Brinkley.
Hey Uncle Josh, I hope you're having a great day! I'm glad that you have done a factory tour of Brinkley model G toy haulers are made from the steel frame to the finished product! I'm glad that you took us to each station1 through 40 or 42 an I have learned a lot from this video! When you was showing them putting on the roof membrane on an how they do the glue was the right way to do that step! I use to do commercial roofing, an I done a lot of rubber roofs! That is how we done the rubber roofs,we would roll the glue out onto the roof an we put glue onto the rubber roof material then we would slowly roll it out, then once we had it completely done we took a big roller and went back over the roof then we would go an use the rubber flashing on all the pipes an the AC curbs then we used a special sealant on all the seams! I'm going to go back and find all your factory tours that you have done and compare them to the Brinkley factory tour! Thank you Uncle Josh for showing us this video on the Brinkley factory tour and giving us all the steps that they do! Your number one fan and friend Leonard from North Carolina!!! #NERDHERD preferred way!!😎😄😃😀😎💪🤘🐒🐶🐕🐺🐱🐈🐅🦁🐻🐨🐼🐉🐲🐢😎
Thanks, Nerd!Great work here, Josh!
Thanks Nate and Brinkley for inviting Josh and his camera to the factory.
Thanks, Bish’s RV for supporting Josh in making this video.
I saw lots of things I liked as Josh moved through the factory.
I was pretty sure that our toy hauler was going to be a Brinkley. Nothing I saw in this video made me question that. If anything, it made me more comfortable with that choice.
Thanks again to everyone involved in this!
wow.. ty so much for sharing this! Glad to know you enjoyed it :)
this is such a good walk through, more people need to see this video.
Ty! Put a ton of time into it!
There’s a share button there to accomplish that goal of spreading the message *cough*
Thank you for the inside look and the return of quality to RV’s.
Outstanding video Josh. Yes it was long BUT if your looking at spending well over $100K it's well worth the time to watch. Thank you for getting it all on tape as they say.
I feel the same - worth the watch!
Great to see Brinkley opened the factory for such a detailed tour great job Josh
Glad you enjoyed it
I love how they have nothing to hide
Thanks Brinkley for letting Josh tour your facility! ❤️ I personally "Love" the 3950 Floorplan!
☺
Thank you, Brinkley. When my wife and I make our 2025 purchase, you will be the 1st we look at. We like your innovative floor plans and designs.
Awesome! Thank you!
Awesome tour. Thank you Josh and Thank you Brinkly
Our pleasure!
I hope they’re doing all these great things on their smaller travel trailers.
I got my popcorn 🍿 LET'S GO!
lol ty sir!
This is a great in-depth look at a beautiful, well-made product. Thanks Josh, for spending your whole day capturing how this Brinkley is so well constructed. And thanks to Brinkley for giving you such amazing access. Sadly, one of these gorgeous creatures is not in my foreseeable future, but I believe I will be playing the lottery more often with very high hopes!
Thanks again for a great video. I look forward to each one you publish and spend WAY too much time going through older ones. But I’m retired, so who cares whether my chores get done?!
The best part of being retired
you can do nothing today
even if you did nothing yesterday
because you weren't quite done doing nothing yet
Thank you, Josh, and thank you, Brinkley, for allowing Josh so much access to your factory. I know that I can't afford a new one (unless I win a lottery), but I will certainly look for a used one when Betsy Beast has taken her last trip!!! As always, I appreciate the hard work and honesty you put into your videos, Josh!!! Keep on nerding !!!
Nerd Drive Engaged!
Love the way a Brinkley is built! THANK YOU Brinkley for allowing Josh to do this long review! Thank you Josh for taking the time to do this! I would love to see a similar review of Northwoods Arctic Fox Grand Ronde 5th wheels PLEASE! Note to Brinkley....Hope you'll build a smaller model Z in the 30' range with a wardrobe slide and a single living room slide similar to the Arctic Fox Grand Ronde 27-5L. THANKS again Josh and Brinkley!
I'd like to actually get out west sometime to check out their production
Wow. Just wow! Great job Brinkley AND Josh. Informative and impressive. Core values and core execution can create excellence and people will choose to pay for that.
ty so much!
So much information! Had to watch it twice 🙂. Thanks Uncle Josh, thanks Brinkley! The secret to a quality product is not hard, but it's not cheap. Attention to detail, taking care of your workforce, and doing the little bit extra...
Dude that's like watching the lord of the rings extended cut lol
Great video. Appreciated the in depth tour from start to finish.
I would love to see RV manufactures implement mini-split systems. Thanks for the great video.
Some of the new Furrion units are actually pulling less juice even vs mini splits
For anyone that’s a full hookups Glamper and not an off grid camper it totally makes sense👍
oooh, a Brinkley factory tour. Love their approach, thanks for the tour👍
Glad you enjoyed!
This is amazing! I've toured the factory floor at Keystone and Grand Design recently and the attention to detail I'm seeing from this video blows both of them away. Thank you for taking the time to provide this incredible deep dive into the construction of Brinkley's G series models.
(And if you *ever* get the chance, a tour of Northwood Mfg would be incredible too as they're often cited as being built "better" than other mfgs)
I definitely hope to get out there sometime
Thanks, I appreciate what you’ve done. I’ve been looking at Brinkleys. We shall see.
Thank you Bish's & Brinkley. Very impressed with this tour
Our pleasure
Thanks Brinkley!! Job well done!! 👍
Thank you too!
Great job, Josh. I'm glad to see someone taking the time to really show the differences that Brinkley is and has made. They've set the bar very high!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks, Josh, for these factory tours. I get as much out of them as I do your walk through videos. We actually bought our current North Point, in part, because of your factory tour video. (That was back in 2022 P.B... Pre-Brinkley)
I'm already smitten with Brinkley, and seeing the sausage made just makes me feel better.
The BEST and most informative factory tour ever. Great work and I appreciated the lengthy exposure of the frame and structure. I now hope you can redo the Z tour with the same level of detail. Bravo!
These factory tours are huuuuuge undertakings for me. In the time it takes me to make one of these i could seriously make 6-8 normal videos so I can't re-do them more than ever couple of years
Thank you for producing such a comprehensive video!
My pleasure! It was like playing soccer - this was an all day event
Thanks to Josh and to Brinkley!! You’re swaying me!
TY for watching speed racer lol
This is a great factory tour!!! We are picking up our model g3500 this week!! I love to see the frame and ill the under the body stuff!! Great video Josh!! Thank you!! Brinkley seems to be trying to make a better product!!
TY So much! Feel free to share among your favorite brinkley groups to help others understand how their G's are made!
Great Plant tour!!! Couple of Questions? Any talk of them building a wide body 102inch units? Also a straight line roof models, just wounding? Really like there build construction and the thinking behind it. Thanks again for your detailed video Josh!!!
The G is 101" wide and the early early rumor circulating about the pending Model R series suggests it'll follow similar sizing
Amazing
Thank you Brinkley and Josh for such an awesome tour! Fantastic product!
Our pleasure :)
You did an awesome job
I own a reflection 337rl BUT these Brinkleys have me thinking
This is Brinkely's version of that one czcams.com/video/EkVMwlfPoCc/video.html if you want an easier comparison point
Thanks for making this informative video! We are researching Brinkley and their toy haulers. Being Airstream owners there is much to learn about fifth wheel construction and systems. This video provides insight that we hadn't learned during several tours of Brinkley fifth wheels.
My pleasure!
Love these Brinkleys RV! They are built very well. I like all of the work they do to make a strong frame! Thank you for the video tour. Brinkley is a pretty good company!
TY!
Awesome, extremely informative video.
One of the best CZcams videos I have ever seen!!! Excellent job!! Very in depth AND NOT BORING. Very informative and put into terms that everyone can understand. Thank you for showcasing a manufacturer that actually puts pride into their product. If everyone built their product with this much thought and quality most everything that is made today would last almost forever. A very impressive company and a very impressive tour!
I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!!
Great to see one manufacturer making the rigs heavier!
Frame failures are far too common
In recent years I’ve seen Jayco doing well on their FW frames as well
Awesome Brinkley this will be my next 5th wheel, I would love for you guys to come out of a front living.
Thanks to everyone who made this video possible! Researching my first tiny home as I build my retirement home & Brinkley is high up the list. I love all the pearls of knowledge throughout the video. I feel it would help navigate honest vs not so honest and people out here in CA. Would love to see about lamination and any other process. I’ve been seeing the East to West Takoda is a competitor to the Brinkley G series so would love to see a factory tour and comparison video. Thanks!
lots of good insights on what's inside an RV. thank you very much!.
Glad it was helpful!
Automotive companies do this exact thing , (put pre-built parts together) many from companies they own 51% of. It’s cheaper this way and faster. Great video nerdle! I’m going to watch this in segments though! Love your work and I’ll be buying from Bishs RV next time !
Amazing, talk about quality!!
I’m parked next to one in storage and I feel like I’m homeless 😂😂
Thanks Josh
lol
Hey Josh! Thank you for this ultra-detailed factory tour. Your usual attention to detail is unmatched. In 20 chapters, Brinkley has over 70 glows (things they do well), but as you said, they're always looking to improve, so I wanted to point out a grow. At 57:26, it may be better to have the worker use an extendable grab hook to secure the red hooks to the trusses. Yes, you pointed out he's not stepping on the paneling, which would be worse, but by their exacting standards, every little bit helps. Not having to venture onto the roof at any point is better than the chance of stumbling and damaging the finished roof unit. Right?
Awesome. I’ll pass that along
Wow! That’s an impressive build! Thanks, Uncle Josh and Brinkley for the detailed tour! 😎👍 1:31:16
Our pleasure!
Based on your video and the shared information,is it safe to say that if all manufacturers built and checked their various RV models, there may not be the problems that have come to light with certain brand RVs,and consumer outcry to the various issues experienced by some customers, which certainly is not needed in the industry
Thank you for your efforts in putting the content out there .
Yeah I don't know that I'll ever see the "perfect" RV but there is without question more than could be done in MANY cases to provide a better experience to the owners
great video
Thank you for making this video, very informative
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks Nerd! Love your video’s. Definitely educational.
Glad you like them!
Wow nice
I approve this frame message.
TY!
Thank you Josh! Thank you Brinkley! Please also show lamination process if possible.
Very impressed with Brinkley.
I'll see if I can get in there!
We toured the Brinkley facility in October of 23. Our guide answered every question we had. The hardest part is figuring out what model we want.
Who showed you thru?
@@JoshtheRVNerd Brendin Green
Nice video Josh.
I don’t own one of these but would not be scared to this is restoring my faith to bad there isn’t more doing the same thinking. Would not be scared to buy one of these used as years go on
This was awesome!
☺
thanks Brinkley. Just at this prices people should also look at Luxe fifthwheel or double fiberglassed no sliders no wood Oliver Travel Trailers are well made aswell.....
LOVE your videos!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE Brinkley!!!!!!!!!!!! We have a 42" diesel that we love, but at this time in our lives....it's time to downsize. I'm waiting for Brinkley to engineer a smallish class C. We've already looked at a Brinkley and LOVED it. But, don't want to drive a pick-up and drag behind. It seems to me that the eastern half of the US is totally ignored by the RV industry...
I'd be glad to beta test a drivable BRINKLEY!!!!!!!!!
I think they will get into motorized eventually but it'll be a bit before that happens
I watched this from beginning to end and I think this is what we will try in Montana.
TY Roger!
Josh, when did you record this video, especially the jigalator 9k portion?
I ask because I toured the Model G Plant on April 24th and my new Model G4000 #872 was on the jigaltor 9k that day.
Also, I thoroughly enjoyed your video! Thanks to both you and Brinkley RV.
Recorded about 3 days before it came out actually!
Great video Josh.
In my view Brinkley is like a huge slap across the face of much of the RV industry that keeps building units of poor quality. Are Brinkley’s more expensive? Yes. But it’s not like a quality RV is a million dollars or something insane. And with their units incorporating as standard so many of the “upgrades” a lot of us install in our RVs the true price gap is even less.
Just take the roof alone with that 25 year sealant. Why the rest of the industry insists on using a sealant that has to be inspected every 90 days is just utterly insane. I bet if we made senior execs at these companies personally inspect the roof of an RV they own every 90 days including in the dead of winter they’d do something about it. Instead we get excuse after excuse about how it’s too expensive or too hard. What BS.
And as long and comprehensive and totally awesome as this video is you don’t even cover everything! Like the construction of their drawers. Most RVs even high end diesel pushers have drawers that are butt jointed and stapled with thin wood. It’s literally the weakest possible joint that could be done and the thin drawer bottoms often start coming out. But bit Brinkley. They use dovetail joints and thicker woods making their drawers. It’s exactly what you want for a drawer loaded up with pots and pans rolling down the road. And Brinkley is doing it.
Thank you for watching and sharing all this!
Josh love the video. Would appreciate if you could do a factory tour of a Riverstone legacy to compare the manufacturer differences.
Ty for the suggestion!
Spaghetti in the blender 😂. I like what I see with Brinkley. They just don’t have the floorplan (yet) that I’m looking for.
What kind of layout are you seeking?
The 2900 is close to the floorplan we want. We want to stay at, preferably below, 30’, and we don’t want opposing slides. From various factory tours for various manufacturers, it’s hard to beat these guys. For us, build quality will override some of our wants, but if we can get both, then it’s a big win.
Currently,on our radar is the Arctic Fox 27-5L and the Grand Design 270BN.
#RVNerdHerd 🎉 😊 🎉 ❤
Thanks Josh love the videos. Hey I have a G4000 and the back heat pump won’t start it sounds like maybe it is seized. But It is not as the A/C works fine. Just the heat pump will not kick on. When I turn it off it does run the fan as to cool it, I think for like 30 seconds. The other 2 work great. Is there a reset or something i can check? Thanks guys
Apologies I'm not well versed on diag'ing things like that over a quick text communication and don't know that I'm the best source for you here
Thanks Josh and Brinkley!! I really enjoy the factory tours, so much so that I've got three scheduled for next month. I will be touring Brinkley, Alliance, and the Rockwood/Flagstaff factories. I've pretty much made up my mind that my next trailer will be a Brinkley, but the tours will hopefully put the icing on the cake. With the current kerfuffle over fifth wheel frame failure, I was wondering if Brinkley also uses lag screws horizontally into the side walls and if they fill all of the holes there too?
I have videos on all three of those actually!
The thing to remember with rockwood is their facility is older but the building doesn't dictate the product
Alliance's factory is also really nice though
@@JoshtheRVNerd And I've watched all of your videos! I really enjoy your content and appreciate the effort and skill you put into them. I'm hoping to get a firsthand knowledge of each of their manufacturing processes that maybe can't be gained by watching someone else's video. I own a Rockwood Mini Lite now and I'm happy with the quality but feel the bones of the camper aren't what a Brinkley is. If I didn't want to expand our camping time, both in length and number of times camping per year, I would not be selling my current one.
At 1:19 minutes, I read the banner on the "Core Values." Now that a good company statement.
Agreed
It would be so awesome if they built either a bumper pull toy hauler or a smaller you hauler more suited for a 2500
I agree and I’m concerned the amount of people jumping on the train and have zero clue how to tow one of these monsters.
Okay I do hope people only use that outside sound system when they are camping out in the middle of nowhere with no one else within 10 miles. I do not want them next to me in a campground. Very impressive which equates to quality.
I have a G3500, the sound system is so crisp and clear on a low volume I have listened many times and not bothered anyone near.
Their sound system on this is INREDIBLE
But yeah - there are times when it is and isnt appropriate to crank it
Excellent video Josh! Thank you. I watched the entire video with the hope of hearing that a Brinkley travel trailer toy hauler is in the works. Sadly that didn’t happen.
Brinkley, can you tell me if a travel trailer Model G is coming anytime soon? Unfortunately the fifth wheel Model G is out of the reach of my budget and instead of lowering our standards and settling for a lesser fifth wheel toy hauler, we will happily wait for a Brinkley travel trailer that fits our needs. I can only afford one or the other. We plan on making our purchase by the end of this year. We need a travel trailer toy hauler that will carry my 1,240 lb. three wheel Harley-Davidson and 100 lb. mattress for Happi-Jack and still maintain a separate (not open) garage with a small half bath. I’ve seen several runner ups lately with 2000 lb garage CCC that meet the bill, but they don’t have the Brinkley quality that we want. My fingers are crossed while I wait for your answer. Thank you.👍🏼😎
I don't know of one yet but i know it will happen in time
Dang, slide topper option on the Gs? Picking up our Z2900 #3000 in a couple weeks and getting dealer to install slide toppers, Gen-Y Gooseneck, generator, 2 lithium batteries and 3000W inverter. Could have saved some time and money if these were factory options. Great video Josh, can you do an updated one for the Z line?
Factory tours like this are a huge undertaking. Not much has changed since I did my first Z walkthru and the updates that have happened are reflected largely here in this G video
Hi josh. We have a rpod 193. We yave done a few mods to it. Nothing that cant be put back to the original. We are wanting to get something bigger and do a trade in on it. Will the mods affect it at the rv dealership?
It's all subject to what you've done. You've described it like nothing invasive so it's probably fine
If I have my way (subject to Mrs mind change) the next 5th wheel will be a Brinkley.
-Tell her Happy Spouse Happy House-
Smart call checking with her first lol
Waiting for the 2 FULL bedroom 2 FULL Bathroom.....
I could see it happening
"Efficiency experts"; they are called Industrial Engineers in the manufacturing business!!
Cannons are called guns the moment they go into a naval vessel. Funny how stuff like that works
with the roof truss it looks like on the outside any insulation would be smashed to the thickness of what appeared to be a 2x2'ish chunk of wood?
There is less thickness and air gap on the sides. That's where you commonly see frost lines on the extreme cold camping peoples' rvs
Damn, we had our eyes on the latest offering from Grand Design. The alliance....Now what? LOL....I love your videos....thank you hollywood!!! I'm so confused....lol...
they're all great in different ways I feel!
I'd suggest trying to see a few in person
Did they ever fix the defective weld on the axle that was recalled this year on the model z?
Yeah they wouldn’t continue producing a known recall
@@JoshtheRVNerd we are looking to buy a fifth wheel to live in. Which companies would you suggest for quality? We've been watching your videos on Brinkley and Alliance and are also considering Arctic Fox.
Are you saying the Z’s are not built for the GenY?
And yes, seeing the lamination process would be interesting.
It’s also nice to see the workers when they allow it.
sorry if I wasn't clear
Z's do not offer Gen Y from the factory but are gen-y approved
What is needed to pull this unit? I did not see where you may have stated that. I would think that the minimum would be a 1 1/2 ton or more.
This isn't a review of a specific model so I wouldn't get into towing
Model G series are dually one tons minimum
I can see the garage on a separate duct system but the bedroom and living are should be so at night you can run the living ac to cool the bedroom and not have to listen to the ac right over your head.
From Nate Goldberg in the video with “Chasing 70 Degrees” the new GE Profile are 15 dB quieter
It was nate himself that advised they still put out noise but they're quieter than their old units for sure
Any chance Brinkley is thinking of designing a 25’ or under Air solo/couple camper for those that like quality and back country?
Smaller models like that may show up in their model I series we’ll be seeing later this year
I appreciate much of what they offer, but at the price of a G4000 it should have full body paint, and all wood cabinets, without vinyl wrap.
Lots of good, but why are the walls not sitting on top of the upper deck and then secured from underneath? The more I see these designs and deal with issues on my fifth wheel, why are these relying on hanging on bolts versus variation of like ATC trailers or Prevost where the frames, walls and roof are truly one big structure?
Like the floor plans, hate the televators as if something is dropping on the counter it will run down in the compartment. Also it locks the window. It would be nice to replace it with a cabinet with storage.
I am very interested in buying a model z in the next few years, but I am very disappointed in the things offered in a model g but not in the z. Hope this changes, I like what they are doing but I want the ability to option things that the do on the g, seems crazy to not let your customers get the options that you are already offering on another model!
what you're wanting is going to be called the Model R
We may start seeing peeks of it next year
Ok, you have my attention! I will be watching, well I would anyway…but you know. Thanks nerd!
