My go to entertainment is the fire pit. 😊
I like that the dinette has drawers so the storage is more easily accessible. Actually I'd prefer cabinets over both considering the windows aren't on your campsite. Really like this rig.
Thanks for sharing!!
You know, I've seen lots of people complain about the dirt that comes in with these steps.
Put a camp mat on the ground. And when we're ready to move, we sweep and dust buster the steps.
Worth it for the stability.
Hey Josh - who's left, still making a fully-plumbed camp kitchen?
I've had both and currently have the exterior folding steps which are better not only because of dirt and water but when I pull my trailer into the neighborhood and park by the curb, I can close the doors to the RV with the step down when going back and forth for loading. Stable steps rest on the curb just high enough that the doors can't close.
I've never seen the steps be much of a problem myself but I can imagine there are some sites where it's more of a thing.
Like you said though - a quick camp mat can help a bunch. Which I'd use regardless of which steps I had
Fully plumbed camp kitchens... man
Rockwood does have a few
Freedom express has a few
Beyond that I can only think of MAYBE a few fifth wheel bunkhouses?
3 things rv manufacturers should design all their units around....... at least most of them anyway
1. adult friendly bathrooms ( adult size shower, room to actually use the toilet and a medicine cabinet )
2. don't put the kitchen on the camp side
3. true queen bed minimum
#2 is the hard one. Forcing a kitchen into a slide causes it to lose a huge amount of potential storage/space
You can manage it on a big fifth wheel. It's harder on a trailer this size
I 100% love your thinking but in practice.. it's tough
@@JoshtheRVNerd thats why engineers and designers make the big bucks. 😁
The front sewer is just the kitchen sink. I personally flipped the valve handle on mine so it is on the left and easier to reach from underneath. Appreciate you Josh!
Thanks for the tip!
We bought this one because of YOU!!! I agree not a good 1/2 ton towable this trailer pushed our Tundra around a little more than we liked. We did get a 2500 to pull this and feel much safer pulling it. The couple things that we wish were different, as you said- Bigger Shower, and a little more "outside" access to storage, for example under the Dinette seats(but I get not have so many Doors to the outside, Like don't cut another hole in my walls. LOL )). I also agree with the Challenging access to the the Kitchen Gray Tank and Bathroom Gray and Black line Hookups. We do have to finagle and is hard to access when the slides are open. Most of our camping is Corps of engineer parks, so we usually do not have Full hook ups. Wish we didn't have floor vents and carpet. I say all that, but I LOVE THIS CAMPER!!! Thank you for what you do. Camping 3 years strong. KNOCK ON WOOD NO PROBLEMS with construction. LOVE THIS MODEL. We always receive a lot of compliments on our camper. 🥰
I love hearing from actual owners! TY so much!
Mind dropping me a quick review at g.page/r/CdPcitNVx2nDEAg/review for the helping hand picking her out?
Over many years of watching your videos, I’ve become a big fan of rockwood/flagstaff.
They have earned my respect and really are among my most highly regarded brands currently
This Is a Well thought out RV , I like it the kitchen space is good , I like bench seats ! Bigger window I like !I truly like this counter space , I'm find the bead of caulking. Love the bigger Stove and oven !Gotta have the Recliner ! Just close the bathroom door , great fan in bathroom! Shower is okay ! I like both shelves ! Like the outside door in Bathroom! Like True Queen Bed ! Like closet !
I have a 2021 2608BS. I concur with Josh's recommendation that a 3/4 ton is a better option. That said, I pull mine with a half ton Chevy. But I'm not pulling through mountains, I'm in the relatively flat upper-midwest. We've been extremely happy with the 2608BS as a couples camper. I feel like I bought my second camper first, rather than the other way around.
Josh, my 2021 2608BS has the door holdbacks, as does my brother-in-law's 2019. They've been there for quite a while.
We had one of these, the bedroom stairs when inside are a great shoe rack. It is heavy for a half ton.
Shoe rack.. interesting!
Genius entry there, good job. ("A lotta' clones...", with your mirror image in the fridge door) 👍👍
😉
This is the one I've always wanted ❤
Nice pick!
This is my camper. I have the Flagstaff. Overall, I love this rig but I do have a couple of things that I would improve. To get the great kitchen storage you sacrifice passthrough storage. All of the "basement" or exterior storage on this unit is actually interior including under the bed. I will also unapologetically say that I hate a radius shower. I'll never have another. The two doors are a must because when the slides are in you can't get the to bedroom or the bathroom from the front. I also like the extra air flow that two doors provide. I do find there is more than enough storage space available. However, if I were doing it again, I'd prefer the sink not be on the angle but it wouldn't stop me from purchasing this rig. The radius shower will. Yes, the steps do dump dirt but you're camping so... I have a small electric blower that I use the blow the steps off before stowing. I've had my camper 4 years and I'll continue to camp with it. We do have RAM 2500 Diesel to pull it. One more thing: Just take the water filter out. It's hidden behind that panel in the bedroom and it's the only way to get to it. I'd rather have one external to the coach.
love real feedback like this from actual owners. THANK YOU for taking the time
I LOVE this floor plan! I wish Outdoors RV would build a trailer like this one.
man.. Northwood/ORV is such a great set of brands
Love this!! Freestanding table/chairs for me....altho I would love to just have the booth section nearest kitchen and 2 chairs on sofa side ideally. I would like the doors covering kitchen drawers shortened and therefore leaving drawers easier to access...I like the looks of them when exposed. ...just me. This is on my top 5 list!!!! 😊
😃
3/4 ton for a front kitchen is ALWAYS worth it.
👍🏻
Rockwood is a nice brand. Wish that they still had the struts. like the wooden commentary. Love that Rockwood uses the big XL vent fans. like the big room like that it has a closet slide. the bathroom is too small love that it has auto stabilizing. Have a great day Josh!
They actually DO now have the cabinet struts. They heard the feedback loud an clear & have since re-implemented them
This is a really great TT, front kitchen, go with the table and chairs and the sofa, two entry doors with windows with stable steps and true queen bed, what more could you ask for. Well, the radius shower is a drawback but I suppose you could make it work. I would absolutely use a 3/4 ton for towing.
Have this TT since 2021 and the shower could be larger but then I remind myself we don’t spend that much time in the shower. Have spent up to 3 months in this traveling and a 3/4 ton is a must if traveling any distance. Started with heavy duty 1/2 ton and it was a barely enough truck for shorter distances. 3//4 ton much safer and makes driving enjoyable.
Fire pit for entertainment. Wish they would make the option to have a "Walk Through" bathroom like the 2516.

Hey Uncle Josh the wife and I love the floor plan and the floating table. Keep up the great footage and awesome info. Sincerely,
Two parts of the Nerd Herd
Awesome! Thank you!
good video Josh
Glad you enjoyed it
#RVNerdHerd 🎉 😊 🎉
Great price too, almost everything about this is perfect! I’m wondering about the size of that corner shower. Where do I put my pots, pans, and skillets. And if you can use those slides when in.
These slides are normal in that they’re not made to be used when retracted
That’s actually a very good price at that show. Considering what things are going for today. Great job Mr. Nerd. 🤓
We really try to be fair
Love it but hate the floor vents and door covered drawers.
A thought I'd like to get to Rockstaff, could we get the 1800w inverter package to do more than just the bedroom? An outlet in the kitchen and one for the outside TV hookup would be a massive improvement. 25BSDS here
It does most of the outlets in the rv. They’re labeled
Have a windjammer bought used from there before it was Bish's rv
I miss those V noses!
I am all for big windows! Why else do we go camping? But to enjoy the great outdoors. If you are a real camper, you do not always have neighbors that close.
I don't agree with having a USB above your head. Most cords are not that long
When is the RV industry going to bring back interior colors? What they build these days is so blah, you don't know one maker from the next when you look inside.
Keep up these good videos. :)
TY!
Prefer the table and chairs rather than the dinette. Like the bigger window. Do they make a TV swing arm that is long enough to put the TV at the correct angle to watch it in bed? Without stressing the back wall too much?
There's a whole world of TV-arm-stuff on amazon. I'm sure there's something but I don't have a link to one offhand
Picking up our Flagstaff 26rbws this Saturday. It also has that same fridge. I was wondering how long the 12 volt fridge would run off the batteries and 200 watt solar package. An updated 12 volt fridge video would be nice
I need to try to make a time lapse fridge test video.. there’s no specific answer I can offer as it depends on battery selection, weather, etc
@@JoshtheRVNerd thanks for the reply. That and a more in depth look into the rockstaff factory solar package would make for a good video idea.
This floorplan would be👍👍👍if equipped with the residential table and chairs “option” for the outdated diner booth dinette, a few more kitchen drawers, no floor vents, no elbow banging radius shower and an ACCESSIBLE😳gray water sewer outlet😢
I would use that FWD storage for chemicals, maintenance items, put a trash can in it and cut a hole in the counter top to drop trash in it, would be nice if there was a cut out and cover from the factory.
That would be awesome!
I am one that watch all your videos and have a question. Is this the tt that had a small pantry on the front counter on the driver's side? I saw that the other ttwas possibly going to remove it.
I think that was the cougar 25FKD
I own the 2023, 2608 both my door have latches behind the door.
👍🏻
Josh very nice FlagStaff👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊 I Can't wait for your review of the new Cougar that's similar to this one 😊😊
Thanks! 👍
Cougar video here btw czcams.com/video/YCTLBvBzrMY/video.html

Thanks Josh 👍🏻 😊
I would love the bed to be solid and the dresser a pop out
sorry - could you clarify what you mean by wanting the bed to be solid?
Love the layout, Josh. But...however there's no real storage for the smoker/bbq, battery storage, nor our propane fire pit. The layout is very workable, but just not enough outside storage space in this one.
That's usually the hiccup for front kitchen models
Would rather have trifold sleeper where the dinette is
several folks asking for similar. TY
3rd summer with 2608BS. I have no problem with the galley tank dump. Take us over a week to fill it. The door hold backs are on my 2022. Very useful on windy days. Dont like the 2024 theater seats with the center arm rest. Also dont like the drawers behind a doors. I have the optional Max Air fan in kitchen and 2nd AC. I recommend both. Coachman has mini holding tanks and the cougar has cable slide system 🤮. The suspension on RockStaff is far superior when towing. I have been towing campers and boatsfor over 40 years. The Torflex suspension is vastly better than any leaf spring suspension.
this is awesome intel. TY so much. I always wonder about those dump locations
Sorry Josh. But I like both models. The only thing I would like to change is having a free standing table instead of a booth.
Sounds good!
Just got new rv with a tankless water heater. Prefer the old gas/electric. Never had an issue with hot water, and gas/electric was much better for water conservation.
Where does the on-demand cause you to use more water vs gas/elec?
🎉#NerdHerd
17:10 17:12 😂😅 i mean you could theoretically YEET wifey and kiddos over the slide out room or counter
Or… you could use the two DOORS. 😂 There is no need for YEETING the wifey or kids. Wait… that depends on the kids, my brother would have loved it, I would have just looked at dad 😳🙄
@@Erin-Thor true
What if you YEET from one door to the other? 🤔
@@JoshtheRVNerd i mean that's a possibility
@@JoshtheRVNerd just yeet from door to door
The I don’t think a door is useful in the bedroom. The space could be put to better use. Like a window.
I could see that
They need to put the steps closer togather. They are about 8in apart. My wife has a hard time going up them. I would rather have folding steps. Nobody makes a handicap entrance for a person who walks on grouches. With easy steps.
🍻
cheers
Could you start making more Toy Hauler videos?
I get them where I can. There are vastly fewer haulers out vs everything else so organically I just don’t bump into as many
Noice!
Those floor vents centered perfectly in the middle of any path are stuuuuupid.
Inside color pallet should match the exterior.
I wish more people would stop complaining about walking through their OWN bathroom to go to the bedroom in these floor plans. If they did a walk through instead of a walk around there would be more bathroom space for a roomier shower!
exactly! i keep saying this. i mean its a couple feet. its not like its a mansion. two doors in already tiny spaces takes up valuable wall space. stop with the stupid radius or teeny tiny motel 8 style showers. sheesh right? all manufacturers need to end the superfluous bathroom doors.
I respectfully disagree. My wife and I own a 2608BS and find having the separate bedroom door extremely useful. I would never buy one with the only way in bedroom is through the bathroom.
@@WilliamNau Bigger Shower > A Hallway
Agree! I want this plan with a walk through. Looking forward to seeing cougars, but worried about outside storage.
@@Chato4570I am on my 3rd summer with the 2608BS. I have no problem with the radius shower. But that's me.
Still has a radius shower and floor vents?? Come on!!
As they make new models they try to avoid those features. Existing models sometimes have remained unchanged for the most part
Love this floor plan but we have a 2024 tundra with 1350 payload. Can we pull this? Itll pull 11500 poundsm
If you have a driver in the truck you will be over payload
You have to remember to add the weight of your weight distribution hitch, cargo and propane. This will increase the hitch weight to beyond the trucks capacity.
No. Josh is right, you need a pretty heavy half ton to pull this. Even then, it might not be enough if you do mountains.
You have the pulling power *BUT..* - I suspect with cargo and vehicle occupants you will exceed your payload rating.
Wish they could get rid of the bed slide
it's funny that's what the layout USED to be and it wasn't super popular at the time
It is ironic that this is the same basiclly as my ROO 23FK.
The FK was modeled off this so it makes sense
But I want the Jayco 2+3 year warranty
White hawk or eagle make layout for you!
But, again, I don't think you can even say this passes the two stage road mode test. Sure you can stop and use the toilet and get something out of the frideg. But there is nowhere to sleep... or even sit. The bed, recliners and dinette are all in the slides. So you cannot stop overnight at a truck stop/Walmart/Crackerbarrel and sleep a few hours. To me this is a very important point.
Yeah that's something I've learned more about in recent years. It's a 100% valid point
I don't like those dinette tables. You'll constantly be kicking the bottom and cracking your knees on the poles.
So you like a challenge eh?? Well I have one for you should you care to accept. I’m sure that that have seen those Amish built residential kitchen cupboards and cabinets made from solid real hardwoods such as oak and hickory. I have custom made hickory in my kitchen. Is there an RV manufacturer that uses this type of cabinetry in their units? Not particle board or lumber core, but actual hardwoods that you would have in your kitchen and not purchased from a big box store. If so, what brands and models would those be and do you sell them? I know it would be a heavier trailer.
There are but I'm only aware of it in higher class fifth wheels
Keystone montana is one of the very first that uses true hardwood cabinetry
MOST brands still use the same lumbercore you'd see here
It's ok . But I don't want to see the neighbors. Why can't they put the windows on the camp side?? The lay out is nice just need to flip the windows. The big dinette window is awesome but again, campside PLEASE !!!
Will not buy another trailer until they start putting the main windows on my campside again. I want to see my family and pets outside not my neighbors.
