Wow, for a really small TT that is a bunkhouse, true queen, some nice features and at an excellent price, $15K are you kidding me, this is a winner. The 1,000lbs CCC is not an issue given you are towing with a truck no worries. For a family starting out that want to move up from a tent or getting into camping for the first time no question this is on the list.
It sure is popular!!
So close to perfect. Needs a fan in the bathroom and that dinnet needs to be a couch that is long enough for an adult to sleep on. The bunks are a nice size for adults and the full size queen is great.
Once you move to fiberglass there’s no going back. So much easier to clean and keep clean, plus it doesn’t get dents like the metal. Looks so much nicer also.
You’ve had both I take it?
@@JoshtheRVNerdyes, and trying to clean black streaks off a metal skinned camper and finding new dents all the time is no fun…
Stick and Tin always a plus, but “NO-Fan” in restroom that’s a MUST HAVE!!
yeah that felt like a touch too much
I love everything except the no fan! Come on Jayco! I wonder how hard it is it add one? I hate the idea of having to mess with the roof and seal.
I agree. Thats one step too far for me
Bathroom fan a must - regular stairs as you indicated is a fair trade. Good RV for young families - bunks for kiddos. Love it!
Awesome TY for this
This is a great option for first time camping families. For the price Bish is selling it for is amazing. Thank you Josh!
You bet!
I have the 2023 model... it's great camper . .it dose everything it needs to do.. basic, light& affordable
love it! TY
Love the video! This is a very interesting samll rv. Love the fiberglass look. I would get that as a option that gives this rv a better look. Love the queen bed. Wish more samll rv have that. Love the kitchen. Wish it had black out Shad’s. Like the cabinets in this rv. Ike this small rv. Thank you josh!!!
This model is pretty good for the budget minded price it carries. That stable step looked weird sitting on the ground that way, almost like it's the wrong size. Either way, I will always opt for a folding step as steps belong outside with the rest of the dirt and mud.
Josh, as always.... you are the most knowledgeable in the industry but also hilarious. Great single man TT. I have to get my buddy down to Coldwater and have him break out the check book so he can participate with our group and give up the cheap motels that he drives back to every night. Keep up the good work, Sir!!👍
Well TY so much!
Good video Josh
Glad you enjoyed it
Definitely switch to folding steps and add a fan into the bath.
Ty!
Starting a collection to help Jayco put a small PC fan in the bathroom... come on Jayco...
lol better make a gofundme lol

Team Gary getting a bad wrap again 😂
You know that old saying: Only takes one bad Gary to ruin the bunch!
Please excuse my dumb question. What’s the difference between the vinyl or metal siding and the fiberglass siding in chances of water intrusion and insulation values in comparison to Azdel?
It’s an excellent question. I know from previous comments you had a bad experience with corrugated siding
I haven’t seen it be a problem but I also do not have data to actually answer the question definitively
@@JoshtheRVNerd - I’m not looking for a definitive answer, just something that might say whatever the differences are between the corrugated and ‘fiberglass’ siding. Is one about the same as the other in R values, are there any differences insulation wise, and I assume neither has the R values of Azdel. Am I close?
I would personally choose one of the Jay Feather Micros, but Jayco needs to offer more floor plans for that line. Love the 173MRB.
Is there a layout from another builder you've seen you feel they lack/
@@JoshtheRVNerd tough to say specifically Josh, I'm just a picky American 😂. Give me more! More of what? I don't know, just MORE! I suppose a simple comparison would be to the number of floor plans that Grand Design has with the Aim series.
Nice little camper. The metal looks better than the fiberglass, at least to me. Does the western version have a medicine cabinet?
I’m not sure if western single axles do.. try inquiring with one of our Idaho stores like Meridian. They could verify
If a manufacturer can’t give me a walk on roof, then they can give me a lifetime warranty on my roof. (since I can’t get up there to seal.) 😅
These are walkable roofs
Do you mean ladder?
@@JoshtheRVNerd I was saying in general. Sorry about that. I should’ve clarified. Great video Josh!
What happened to the Ozark video from yesterday? I love that camper and wanted to show to my husband but I can’t find it now 😕
I didn’t mean to publish it when I did. Was scrolling and didn’t realize I clicked it
Super excited to watch this one! After a year of research, I've pretty much settled on this exact model. Can you tell me what the ACTUAL empty tongue weight is? I've seen a number of conflicting figures ranging from 270lbs to 345lbs.
Plan for the higher number. Rember those numbers are of empty trailers no one goes camping empty. As a rule of thumb take 12 to 15% of the gross weight rating for the trailer as your tong weight
Without scaling a unit I cannot
@@JoshtheRVNerd From what I've read, tongue weight can vary quite a bit from the listed specs, so I was hoping to avoid spending $200 on a scale and then going to the local dealer and asking if I can weigh the tongue . . . I feel like that could be awkward. Have you ever had a customer show up with a tongue scale and want to weigh a trailer?
I want a fan in the bathroom and the only reason I would choose fiberglass is for my hotspots.
Why would that matter?
OH! Signal interference? Like a faraday cage effect?
@@JoshtheRVNerd Right.
1. love the bed size, including the bed size of the bunks. I think the dinette could be used as a sofa with strategic use of pillows/cushions, but unless you need a table, maybe offer a sofa?
I’m scared of those fridges opening either side opening, I saw a video where someone easily accidentally took the door off, they struggled to get it back in lol.
I think they missed the boat with not putting a bathroom fan in these vans, plus a blind on the door, the blind on the door I’d think was pretty essential. Great that there’s no floor vents!
I think I’d borrow this, but not sure I’d buy it. #rvnerdherd #nerdherd
The new Gen furrion fridge doors finally don’t fall off when you attempt to to open both sides
A camper for 4 but only 2 can sit can sit at the table ?
#RVNerdHerd 🎉 😊 🎉
Would definitely make for a nice weekend fishing or escape from the wife (or husband vise versa) camper. But let’s be honest…. Is the real reason why this camper sells so many units is because of the fact that you are discounting the price 50% off of MSRP? Seems very affordable right now.
We are pretty stupidly aggressive on these no doubt. We try to have something for everybody - even the folks not trying to spend top dollar
Anyone care to give pros ans cons between “window”/side mounted ac vs roof mounted ?
Window: lower tallest point on rv. Lower cooling power
Roof: flip that script
Folding steps all day
👍🏻

Yes it's cheap but put the kichen to the other side and put the window on the camp side. Window always on camp side. Who wants to sit over the stinky slinky with the only window open
#NerdHerd
No ladder, a difficult to make east west bed, an uncomfortable outdated "Denny's" diner booth dinette, a cheap plastic toilet, a shower curtain, no bathroom fan😳or sink to wash your hands, brush your teeth and shave🤢is very disappointing☹️
Just my opinion, but the only reason to have a camper to camp is because we don't want to sleep in a tent on the ground. We don't boon dock. We don't cook or even shower in the camper and seldom even use the restroom. So technically this camper is still loaded with things we don't want. Definitely also don't want the bunks.
Perhaps try this one instead: czcams.com/video/pkZu3XYogA0/video.html
No bunks and some solid storage
@@JoshtheRVNerd Thanks!
This is one of the most stripped down campers that I have ever seen, so if you think that it has too many features, you only camp with full hookups and only use the amenities that campgrounds offer then you should probably stick with your tent👍
