It’s 100% possible for Demidov to fall to 5th… The Hawks want to build a winner and getting a RD like Levshunov puts you on that path in my opinion… The Hawks have not seen Demidov play at all in person apparently and Demidov also plays in a weaker league… I’m not saying Demidov is going to be a bust, But at second overall A RD who you have seen live many times compared to a winger you have never seen before is risky and teams definitely think like that…. I look at the sheer volume of youth/prospects on the blue line, I'd say at least 2 or 3 are moved this season. They literally have about 10 pieces on D that seem like everyday NHLers in the making. They will convert D strength to round out the forwards, mark my words.

Silayev plays RD too. So I think he would play on the right side with Mintyukov or Zellweger. Also Zellweger played RD all season so it wouldn’t be a surprise if he stays there. None of those 3 will be on the bottom pair
