TSN's Bob McKenzie recently dropped his NEW TOP 15 prospects for the 2024 NHL Draft after the U18 World Junior Championships!

COVID 19 draft this year 2021. OHL did not Play. Many scouting list has changed sensibly. Not a normal year
After what he managed to do at both ends of the ice in this tough job on this wonky line having to play shut down more than anything for team canada atthe U18 WJC I would've expected to see Liam Greentree at maybe one of the last 2 spots there.
As for Demidov, although latest reports are optimistic, i'd say this second injury on the same knee is still a big worry come draft day. Teams will need to do their homework on this.

if habs miss out on celebrini, demidov or lindstrom they should move down and take iginla or catton..then take whatever assets they got to move down and add the jets pick to move up and take sennecke.

It's Lindstrom and if he's gone by then Iginla. Hughes and Gorton value Character a lot, so i have a feeling about Iginla.
It’s gonna be a fun draft. I hope most teams in the top 10 get the guy they want.

He’s well rounded with good size and production in the playoffs but thought to be more of a middle 6 player in the NHL
Biggest thing is I want my Sharks staying far away from Connelly. He's right in the ballpark of where they'll be picking (Pittsburgh's pick) and they don't need someone with substantial character questions.
lol that is a deranged take in my opinion. Did he make a massive mistake in the U18 finals? Yes. Does that mean you can take that and generalize about his character? Absolutely not. He is an extremely skilled player that crushed USHL competition and is almost certainly going to be drafted too low this year.

@@shmoo232 Nothing at all to do with the U18s. A scout referred to him as "top ten skill , but bottom ten character." He was kicked off multiple teams (one for peeing on a teammate's things, one for posting a picture on his social media of a teammate with a building blocks shaped like a swastika), has allegations from parents of several of his teammates of bullying as well as allegations of racist comments towards an opponent.
@@jonmendelson1104 Fair enough, I do respect that you are operating beyond the singular incident unlike a lot of hockey fans. I would suggest reading up on the many ways in which Connelly has learned and has made up for his past disgusting behaviors. It is always a struggle to gage a person's character based upon how they acted as a sixteen-year-old, but I accept it is reasonable to be skeptical of personal growth until it is beyond a reasonable doubt.
I think/hope the Sharks have Ryan Merkley’s character issues fresh on their minds. Probably aren’t going to be gambling on questionable guys early in the 1st round.
If he’s available at #33 or #42, it might be a different story though…
It will be interesting to see who Hughes picks, if he doesn't trade that pick.
Whoever Pronman's connections are have a high grade on Yakemchuk. He brings up the fact Yakemchuks size, physicality, and offensive skill is tantalizing. His shot and strength are very impressive as well. My bet is scouts believe Yakemchuks build would do wonders in the NHL. The worrying part is he is already a late birthday and doesn't have the best defensive mechanics. Get's beat too often against inferior competition and can look out of position. That's my synopsis
Ofc as a Sharks fan i really hope for Celebrini, but if we get that penguins pick i am really high on nygard. I think its just me, but i really like how he plays and i think he could be really good player for the future.

Hoping a Dman fall to the NJ pick so they can trade it and get more pick and extra, cuz NJ do not need another Dman. Itll be a mistake if they stay and draft a Dman. Only way ill stay at the Devils pick is if catton,Tij or Lindstrom falls which is a huge IF.
This top 10-20 is going to have a lot of steals and disappointements
I just hope Eiserman is available by the time the Sharks pick at 14. He's fallen a lot, but less than a year ago he was ranked higher than Celebrini by a fair amount of people. I still believe he can be good and if he's available at 14 then you gotta take the risk. He might not have scored a lot of points, but he did score 25 goals in 24 games and 9 goals in 7 games at the World Juniors. He's for sure a pure goal scorer at the very least.

Demidov has the most elite talent in this draft. Seen his highlights and he is incredible.
Demidov is Malkin, Celebrini is Crosby.
Demidov has more offensive skill than Celebrini.

If the Ducks don't pick first overall....and they won't... as long as they pick Lindstrom, Silayev or Levshunov I'll be happy, but Verbeek knows the two or three players he really wants and if he is in a position to draft him that is what he will do no matter where they are ranked...I just hope he see's eye to eye with my choices.

ohl top d man parekh's post-season ended on sunday. Dude is pencil skinny and took a beating as teams targeted him all thru the playoffs. Missed three games. left three others.
Players can bulk up. He still put up decent numbers considering. Wait until he gains some weight and some strength

With this years draft being considered somewhat mediocre, you have to wonder if were seeing the effects of the pandemic in younger ages. This would be around when they would normally start to take hovkey quite seriously, yet they were mostly all stopped from doing that due to the pandemic.
This is an average draft with good depth in my opinion. It’s absolutely loaded with big RHD projected to be picked from the end of the 1st to the 3rd
Once again guys like Kasper, Danielson and this year MBN are not valued fairly it's those guys that will score when it matters the most in the PO they're not the Draisaitl, Mc David Mc Kinnon etc but seeing those guys out of a top 15 is surely a mistake

The one prospect that he missed was Teddy Stiga. Before the U18, I had him at #11 on my board, now he's #8. Underrated two-way winger, best skater in the draft, and best defensive forward. Offensively he's really good apart from using his size.

Nobody is taking a 5’10 forward with ok decent production. There are loads of better options available with size. Teams are picking players they know can help them win in the playoffs and you need size

Montreal recruiters are the worst in professional sports. Last year the draft was stacked with quality forwards, they even passed on Mitchkov, to take a defence (Reinbacker ranked 15th). Now this year they wake up to the fact that they lack forward talent (duh..) and will pick a forward in a draft year which is stacked with much better defencemen than last year and in which there are very few good forwards. You can not be more incompetent than this. How can you fail every time like this, year after year, it is incredible.
Pretty embarrassing take to be honest. We know for a fact Philadelphia Arizona and Nashville wanted Reinbacher they even trade offered montreal to move up. They needed a right shot defenseman wich is harder to find than a winger. Plus this year's top 10 being loaded with defensemen will be beneficial for Montreal since they might end up with one of the top 3 forwards of the draft even at rank 5 or 6 or 7....never go full retard bud

Another glorified crap shoot of a draft which for entertainment purposes is good for fans but not for talent past the top half of this list. It's the same level of lame as 2022 maybe slightly better but I'm not impressed.
