There's almost no chance Ottawa drafting a LD. Maybe if they trade Chych at the draft even then, Ottawa is dying for a RD
If they do, they basically have to trade both chychrun and chabot. With the trades maybe spread out through a year or 2 depending on how good the LD is
💯 No way Levshunov will still be on the table. So I want Parekh. I know he’s not the first choice in terms of style. But I think he could be sick in the future with Sandy. Yakemchuk is also interesting. I’m just not sure you take him at 7. IFFFFF we took a LD, it better be Saliyev.

Sens are overflowing with good young LD. Literally the only position where I wouldn't pick BPA.
They need a RD really badly but I could also see them draft a forward who they think is BPA.

I would LOVE Sam Dickinson in Ottawa. Chabot and Chychrun can both kick rocks and we rock out with Sandy + Dickinson to run the left side for the future.

Apparently, someone doesn't watch any sens hockey. A big left shot LD that joins the rush. Ottawa already has a bunch of left shot LD. They need a veteran defensive right shot RD. They ain't getting that from the draft. How about a big two way right shot RW who can bodycheck. They have two RW in their system and one of those is always injured and was taken too high in the draft. Claude Giroux won't be around forever. He's over 35. They need more replacements for the right wing. Left shot guys are a dime a dozen in each position.

I could see Yakumchuk or Sennecka who has been absolutely dominating in the playoffs.
How about mike matheson for your 7th overall. Big rd who plays a lot of minutes, can throw a hit and he is a good veteran with the young guy in mtl. What do you think?
A+ pick selections for each team. Dickinson, in particular, is exactly what the Sens need to solidify their blueline.

At the earliest, he would play in Ottawa in 2-3 years. You have to pick the best player regarless of position.
Iginla is going to be committed than the other prospects.
For The Habs I would say Lindstrom, Kontus, Eiserman or Iginla and Maybe Demidov if Hughes is willing since he missed out on Michkov. Last draft.
The habs need forwards that can score and play offensively and we have so much Defense in our system that if they get another Defense it would be difficult for them to find goal scorers.

He Chose Reinbacher while 2023 was full of good forwards.
He decided to go for a defensemen and not a player who is coming to N.A. by this or next year.
The fans wanted Mitchkov so badly so technically we missed out but for Hughes I guess he did.

Trade Chychrun for a right D and draft Igilna. That kid is going to be a top goal scorer in the league for many many years. No point drafting a D at 17-18 that will take years to develop while Chabot and Sanderson are in their 20s. Dman take longer to develop and by that time Chabot is retired and Saunderson is in his late 20s. Get Tig Igilna and have that kid contribute in a year or 2. Kid has incredible talent and character. Most dominating at U18 and one of the youngest in the draft. I just don’t see how Sens pass on such a talented character guy and goal scorer.

Some teams miss the playoffs while they are rebuilding, and others exit the playoffs in April.
