Jett Luchanko at 12? You've got to be kidding. In most mock drafts, he doesn't go anywhere close to a lottery pick.
Demidov is the second best player in the draft,100 pt player, 10 times better than Michkov, and that's why he's going 3rd.

Anyone saying Demidov is better than Michkov has zero credibility. Michkov is the very clear #1 in this draft. Celebrini is under Fantilli who is clearly behind Michkov

Couldn’t agree more. 52 goals and 116 points as a 17-year old in the Dub is insane. He’s got all the tools to be a star, dominates at every level and every tournament he plays in, super smart, dynamic skater…Catton is the real deal. I’d consider him very strongly at #3 behind Celebrini and Demidov

CBJ has about 10 defenseman that could legitimately be in contention for the top 6. No chance they add another to the mix with the needs in the forward group

Buium is great but I don't understand why New Jersey would be going for a defenseman. I could honestly see the pick being moved as part of acquiring a goalie (depending on the goalie they likely get something else back along with the goalie). On the other side of things, considering the Sharks are getting a forward with their first pick and next year's draft is shallow at D, I could see them going for a guy like Jiricek if the draft has unfolded the way you have it. If it seems like all of the top D will be off the board maybe they try to trade up to 10 or 11 to get a Buium/Yakemchuk.
If a Dman falls to 10 NJ will trade it, No goalie is worth the 10th overall pick. Saros is staying in NSH, Ullmark isnt worth the 10th and Markstrom needs 2-3m retain still not worth a first. It looking like Wild send 13th gust which is a YIKES. Devils do not need another dman, they need Catton,Tij,Greentree,Sacha, someone with size nad can play that gritty style that NJ lacks

From what I can tell it’s not that he’s dropped off, it’s that other players have passed him. If that makes sense.

Why are people so obsessed with comparing Demidov to Michkov? Just because they are both Russian? Why don't they do this with literally any other prospects? Probably because there is literally no point in comparing prospects from different draft classes. Especially before either have even made it to the NHL. Don't get it...

Ivan Demidov is NOT a better player than Matvei Michkov. That’s a ridiculous thing to say and is going to age very, very poorly. Michkov was a point-per-game player in the KHL at 18 years old. He will be a generational NHL superstar alongside Connor Bedard one day. I’ve said that since the beginning and I’ll say it until the end. Demidov is easily the No.2 in this draft, there’s no question about that, but he’s not a Michkov/Bedard level talent. He’s a Celebrini/Fantilli type of talent. Nothing wrong with that, but calling him better than Michkov is hilarious
