The biggest takeaway from this playoffs is that the regular season doesn’t mean anything.

Something interesting I've seen is the odd similarity between Carolina and Colorado. Both teams have shown their absolutely incredible depth, and as soon as their 1st line guys heat up, the other playoff teams might be in really big trouble
Will Pettersson repeat Huberdeau's story ? Signed huge contract and relaxed ?
Petterson wasnt himself a couple of weeks before the contract was signed, theres just been more of a microscope on him since the signing

One of the things to mention is that rangers have been marking ovi well in his spot when they are on the Pk and he does not seem to move at all to try and find a angle for him to shoot
Pettersson is so bad right now. The guy doesn't even belong on a Tim Bits team where they only play for fun, let alone NHL.

For Vegas-Dallas, it more so has to do with the fact that Vegas is a very dominant team when fully healthy
Or the fact that they have a tendency to cheat when it comes to the actual fucking cap is it only me that finds it strange that Dallas has had to deal with both of the scumbag teams that pulled that exact same bulshit over the past 5 years

Tampa only has 4 goals in 2 games, their max is 12 points lol
Dallas choking in the playoffs, they are Leafs west. Even last year i wasnt impressed with their game against a way overmatched Minnesota team in round 1.
As game 2 showed I think a huge overreaction to that Oilers series. What I saw in game 1 is a dynamic offensive team lighting up a Kings team that didn't show up for most of that Hockey game. And that same dynamic offensive team very well might have let the Kings back into it with some shaky defense if that goal for LA hadn't been called back. I didn't see anything from the Oilers that surprised me. The Oilers are probably the team that can light you up the most if you don't play well and LA did not play well. And I also saw the same defensive weaknesses for them but the Kings woke up far too late for it to make a difference.

Nah LA didn't show up game 1. Edmonton almost threatened to let them back into it too despite how bad LA was playing. Game 2 is way more indicative of this series. It's going to be close.
Petey might not be a total washout ......yet. But, he is going to have to turn it around really soon or that is all he will be remembered for
It is not like the lights just went out. Petey has been pretty underwhelming since the all star break. It seems like he signed for big money, then put up his feet.
Very disappointing.
That coincides exactly to when Kuzy was traded. I'm not saying that's why but the timing lines up too well for it to not to be a contributing factor I think.

Nah, Hellebuyck is the most overrated goaltender in the playoffs.
My biggest takeaway is cheating the cap is really effing lame. Faking a injury is so dishonorable and the league really needs to stop teams like Vegas and Tampa from doing it.
You realize that close to 20 teams are using the same LTIR rule right now INCLUDING Dallas Right?
5 million of that cap hit is for Robin Lehnor who hasn't played in years, and will never play another game. ltir retired and that means Vgk is only 3.5 million over the cap and when you add how much Dallas is over the cap it reduces it even more.
And bonus question how much over the cap is the team that VGK ices for the game?
Learn to beat VGK instead of making excuses for why your team cant.
