I think Shane Wright will definitely be in the Calder conversation next year if he keeps playing like he has since his call-up. He might not be the flashiest player out there but those little plays he makes in front of the net are leading to points.

As a hab fan the past is the past. And i hope Wright actually pans out. This will create a healthy rivalry between him and Slaf and maybe they will keep pushing each other to become better.
As a Slaf fan, I wish all the best for Wright as well. I hope both will tear up the league in the future, making the discussion interesting about who is better.

He's gonna be an ROR type player - someone who can provide high-level offense at times, but is more focused on their complete game, and is a go-to guy on the face-off. Doubt he'll ever be a 100 point guy, but I think he'll live comfortably in the top 6 for 60-75 points a year

As a Kraken fan, I’ve always believed in Wright! Some players take some time to adjust to the professional level and he’s slowly starting to get the hang of things in the NHL. Sometimes all it takes with players is patience

I love the kid AND he plays a 200' game. He'll beat the oposition to the puck in the corners and as a center, he CARRIES the puck. I wish him all the best and have no reason to believe he needs it. Moreover, he a great kid, generous with praise of Slaf.

Shane Wright will not be eligible for the Calder next season because he’s played 6+ games this season and last season making him ineligible next year
