Let’s see… I had senators and Sabres finishing 2nd and 3rd in their division… I had devils winning presidents trophy.. flyers finishing 2nd last in league… bruins and Tampa missing playoffs.

I think everyone thought the devils would do well.
THG picked them to win the Cup.
I don’t think Canes fans did. Watching how easy it was to tear them apart in the 2nd round with a Canes team we knew wasn’t great at scoring.
We knew that if they didn’t fix goaltending in the off-season then they’d be toast. That’s what happened.

@MikeParadigm I think if the Devils get a good starter goalie to either share or play most of the games and have Hamilton back, they might do decent. They also need Time Meier to play way better.

I thought the habs were gonna get more wins but somehow they got the best of both worlds. They ended the season with 46 games decided by 1 goal, a sharp increase in productivity from many players, yet they somehow still get a 7th pick at absolute worst. They are still a weak team, dont get me wrong, the rebuild isnt over just yet, but they are showing a lot more grit and mental toughness than they ever have since this management group took over, and next year should be a lot more exciting with lane hutson, logan mailloux and a healthy kirby dach
To make room, i would try to trade harris and barron in the offseason, and maybe armia who suddenly has a lot more value. Josh anderson, i dont know man... If he doesnt get it together quick in the next season, it might honestly look like a buyout angle. Gallagher isnt producing quite enough, but his heart is still there, and he is still contributing, so i dont think we need to get rid of him right now
Gallagher was on fire at the end of the season and is fine where he is. He was healthy and playing and will be the perfect vet to guide the young ones. Btw, we got the #5 lottery spot, not #7. I agree on moving Barron or Harris, but not both. There will be good competition for d spots next year and along with injuries, we'll need one of them for sure.
@@theawesomedad2245 we got the #5 pick, but theoretically, if 2 teams below us were to win the lottery (i.e., 8 and 10), we could then slide down to 7th pick. it is, _at worst_ , a 7th pick

I kinda expected to the Kraken to regress a bit considering how insane their shooting percentage as a team was in 2022-23, but I didn't expect them to regress to a bottom-5 offense (which is a shame cause we finally have a good goalie in Joey Daccord).
If there's a positive to take away from this season, it's that the Kraken won the one game my dad and I went to this season (2-1 in OT over the Flyers)

I respect you owning your predictions, both good and bad. So many other people would just ignore their past takes that don't age well.
My Blues go 0 for 3 against the Sharks, but hold their own against every tram in the playoffs in the West smh. Binner and Hofer looked great as a tandem this season so I hope they keep the ball rolling next season. Let's Go Blues!!!!

Gotta admit I don’t understand the grading here. Nashville comes in as a wildcard and gets a A, while Jets get 2nd place, home ice for the first round, the Vezina winning goalie and they get a C.

Yup. Even if the team did better than his expectation or matched the points but rank was off, it still means his prediction was off somewhere and that's what the grade is
He's grading how accurate he was not how each team did.
