The fact that the Colorado Avalanche won a Stanley Cup with suspect goaltending gives me a shiver of fear as a Stars fan at what if Colorado ever actually got a consistent goaltender.
Saros and Hellebuyck were there for the taking and nobody wanted to take the risk. Looks extremely foolish in hindsight with all these teams struggling in net.
We would be unstoppable if we had a good goaly (avs fan)
I wouldn't say they won with suspect goaltending, kuemper was decent in their cup run

The fact they got 6 goals past Helly shows how good the AVS are. If they figure out their goaltending, it’s over.
I've been hating on Georgie all along, too bad Frankie retired. Avs will be better off 6 on 5 the rest of the series, and will go out on top, with scores like 22-15. 😅
Frankie was an incredible goalie, it's such a shame that injuries cut his career short. I'm sure he would be a very solid number 1 tendy for the Avs

Idk man. I think the oilers are going to have the same issue again this year. Skinner is so streaky, and Pickard is a big question mark. Both teams that I definitely thought would have made some if not big changes when it comes to goaltending. If the Jets can beat the Avs, I think they will either win the cup or at least make it to the finals.

If Annunen comes in and provides even .910% the avalanche might win the cup. Think about how crazy this team is to carry a 897% to the most wins in the league

Avs dominated in every metric in the game but lost even when still scoring 6. If they even got .800 goaltending they win. I don’t think they’re easily gonna go down
I don’t get the stats at 5:00… why only mid to high 40s for minutes played? Jets goalie only shows 3 against but we all know it was 6.

Not the only problem. Manson is a penalty machine and defensive nightmare. He sucks bad and helped cost the Avs that game. handed one goal directly to the Jets and watched two go past him and then past him again and didn't even move as the only defender between him and his goalie. He has to get better. Problem is he has been doing that all season. They need to get rid of him.

Cam Ward hadn't proven anything at NHL level before that run. Annunen is the more talented goalie of the two (with less NHL experience ofc), has been playing better than Georgiev for a while and last but not least the team plays defense much better in front of him. If he's healthy he will take over the net.

hill was a rookie came in for vegas and won a cup so yea , hill never played one nhl game till that year and it was late in the season
The Georgiev hate is crazy. The greatest goalie in the NHL at the other end of the ice didn't play well either, giving up more goals in his first playoff game then any game during the regular season. Georgiev didn't have many easy saves this game compared to Hallebyuck, Winnipeg held on to the puck instead of shooting it and turned every shot into a scoring chance. I think the Avs have a bigger problem then goaltending and dogpiling on poor Georgiev isn't going to fix it.

The Avs team is no doubt better than the Jets team, it’s just the goal tending that is holding them back.
Jets made the playoffs with a career season goalie, Avs made the playoffs despite having a really inconsistent goalie.

Avs fans are butthurt about their goalies' performance (or lack thereof), but letting in that many goals against the Jets is on par with their season against them. It was Hellebuyck who let in more than usual/had a rough night. During the regular season, the Jets scored 17 goals in 3 games against the Avs (5.6 goals/game average) while the Avs scored 4 goals in 3 games (1.3 goals/game average). Based on those stats alone, it's clear to me that the Jets should be more upset about goaltending issues than the Avs as their goalie (Gorgiev) performed as expected. Go ✈️ Go!!
Jets can’t handle the high powered offense, we’re not even fully healthy lmao, fully healthy and a serviceable goaltender your done. EZ anyways I’m not going to stew over this season, I’m still enjoying that 2022 cup year wow.

It’s time for Colorado to trade away a top 6 guy for a top 5 goalie… I’d even be ok with a 5x5 Drouin contract and a mikko/georgie trade to free up the remaining 8m for said top 5 goalie. Can Drouin match Mikko in point production next year? Maybe not… but I don’t doubt him for a second come 2026. And if he’s training and eating with Mack I’d hope he’s a top tier player for as long as mikko will be. So 34-35… I sure hope Mack ages like Crosby and get lucky enough to stay strong and out of surgery.. I’d love to see Nate dog putting up 100 pts a season when he’s mid to late 30s… haha
outta ur mind if u think we trade mikko , a better thing to do would be to buy landy out just let him heal and it frees up his moneyand he gets paid , and we could get a goalie ,and if landy is able to play again then he could come back at a very very low price 1 mil a year ,if hes commited to the avs he would do that
