I love love love this kind of material. It clearly shows, what is important, is the truth. It does not mater that the truth comes from people who are not of our same religion. We are counceled to read good books and books of wisdom. I feel many people within "their" own religion feel they can only read books written by people of their same religion. It seems, so many truths are missed by staying in a self created box. One more thing, I feel many people fear being led astray by authors that they are unaware of. These types of pod casts creates a safe space to explore and to step out of that self created invisible box. Great job.

So, listeners disregard reading scriptures, personal revelation and the Holy Ghost and just read books by authors who mingle their philosophies with the scriptures. They put in the work so you don’t need to. You guys just proved that it is useless to think you are going to understand god by reading scripture. You men claim to sustain living prophets and apostles. Yet you hang on every work spoken by a fantasy author and his sidekick. Where are these prophets in relation to these philosophies and theories you constantly present? I bet you all feel so smart and righteous at the end of each episode. You gentlemen are creating a very specific brand of your version of Mormonism. It is telling that you acknowledge that we cannot continue to teach the false narratives anymore, and that we need to “inoculate” kids with portions of the truth so they are not blindsided by lies when they grow up. I

Christians have been onto this since the beginning. Lds theology is only copying christianity more and more. And none of it will ever stand because all you do is mold to try and match what has alreasy been there!

We could call it "Mike and Dave's Excellent Adventure Studying the Scriptures", a spin off from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. The thing is, we never know where they are going to go next, despite wherever they start. And that's what I love about these adventures - they are raw, unscripted, and from the heart. But every time I learn so many new things that blow my mind and enlighten my soul.

I love this idea! I would watch every episode!!! I'll be honest, As a youngin', all I cared about was playing in my rock band and chasing girls. Once I served my mission and was influenced by my mission president (one of the holiest men I have ever met, and opinion held by other GA's I've talked to that served with him in the First Quorum of Seventy; which he was called to right after he served as mission president), my attitude absolutely changed about education and gospel learning. I also discovered I had some learning disabilities that I had to plow through. Computer manuals are much easier for me to read than novels. I also realized that reading the Book of Mormon and Jesus the Christ was a gift given to me during my mission because reading was easy for me then. As I approach 60, reading is becoming more and more difficult. Making things even more frustrating there are more and more books I want to read. I do things like play musical instruments to maintain neurological pathways in my brain so I can avoid dementia as much as possible. Also, I love to learn. It's like a drug to me. So please, let's keep doing this.

Great podcast. I love the concept that the Garden, the fall and the redemption happens in everyone's life. I will now look at Peter Pan in a new light. It is the concept of Adam, why dost thou offer Sacrifice. Adam responds, I know not save the Lord commanded it. We need to look at everything and learn and grow.
