    Some years ago, I had a conversation with a coworker who was of Middle Eastern ancestry. I asked him about the meaning of Mulek. His answer was a 'young one who owns'. I then asked him if it meant little prince. He said yes. I think the correct definition is 'prince', which would acknowledge his true relationship with Zedekiah.

      The Book of Mormon had no evidence. They guys are always grasping for any little thing. Where are these massive civilizations that they made ? Why do you have Jews preaching and baptizing in the name of Christ before he even came? It’s a false book. The man who wrote it he was a polygamist and even falsely “translated” the Book of Abraham.

    So cool to hear about this. I worked in Tunisia and I have visited the old port of the Phoenician in Cartage. I also spent some time in Djerba. I is connected to the main land by a Causeway built by the Romans they call it Le Chasseaux Romaine. It doesn’t look like they ever paved it or made any improvement to it. It is still the only vehicle access to the island and is heavily traveled.

    Been to Tunisia and Carthage. Yes!!!! So many things there just showed me that the Church had been established there at some point. The baptismal fonts! The sarcophagus in the Carthage museum with the life sized people carved on top wearing robes and having their hands and arms in positions that were very familiar. I asked the museum worker what the position meant he replied that it was to show an empty hand. (after that I didn’t ask anymore questions because I knew more than he did). They tried to convince me that the baptismal fonts were just part of old bath houses. Even today their bath houses don’t have oval pools with steps on each side. (Not big enough to swim in but certainly a size of a baptismal font)
    Been to Jerba as well!!! I found it very interesting that the majority of the island is Jewish and they are famous for their silver and gold work. (I believe that only priest in the ancient times had the knowledge of metal work) didn’t the people fleeing Egypt convince Aaron to build a golden calf? Why didn’t they build it themselves?….. because Aaron was one who carried the knowledge of metallurgy…….. just like Nephi. I guess I should watch your whole show before writing this! Lol oh was they knew how to sail and what and amazing port they had! Far better than what is there today!

    • @OhavYisrail
      @OhavYisrail Před 3 měsíci +3

      The art of metallurgy had significantly expanded by the time Djerba was founded. With the exodus we're in the bronze age collapse. Most everyday tools were still stone and it was usually just certain families that knew the art (a pattern we see repeated in other bronze age societies). So it's likely Aaron and Moshe came from a family of metalsmiths and were selected to be priests. By the time of the Babylonian captivity we have fully transitioned into the iron age and metal working was much more common. But the kohanim (priests) in the community on Djerba are fascinating in their own right. They still follow the ritual purity rules from the first temple period. They only marry jews from djerba to keep the lines pure, and they never leave the island so as not to inadvertently walk on a grave. They don't even talk much to other kohanim from elsewhere, but it is theorized that still know all the ritual from the first temple.

    Does anyone every thing to try and answer the question as to why the mulekites left Jeruselum for the new world? Why they were seperated from the Nephites for a few hundred years? Why they didn't keep writings that we know of and lost their language? Is it possible that because Mulek was the son of the King they wanted to keep that lingeage safe but also keep something else safe? In order for the Temple to be rebuilt in Jeruselum it needs some rituals and items. One thing that is needed is the Ark. Is it possible the Lord used Mulek and his people to deliver the Ark to the new world for safe keeping until the time is right to restore it? They could have been commanded to not keep records in order to keep it safe and not talked about. This would explain why they had a broken language when they were found by Mosiah. It seems to me that Mulek being the son of the King could have had access to the temple and had the ability to get the Ark out safely. Maybe the lost pages would have explained this? I know this is all speculation but it is an interesting thought. Jermiah prophesied that becuase of the wickedness of the people that the Ark would fade from thier memories and be lost unto them. What better way for that to happen then to send it away to another continent that nobody knew about at that time. When Jeruselum was taken over by the Babylonians there was no record that they ever found the Ark when they sacked the temple.

    About 15 years ago I was working for a U.S. Senator and was able to travel to Tunisia with him and several other Senators. Along the way we visited a literal rug merchant. On several of the rugs I noticed the beehive symbol that is so common in Utah. I asked the shop owner (who spoke English) about it and he said that in Middle Eastern culture, bees are extremely prized for the honey they provide and somewhat reversed, hence the inclusion in the rug's design. I smiled internally... How would Joseph Smith known that??? Anyway... cool to see your post tonight. Keep up the good work!

      This channel put up a new video with David Doane on this subject. If I remember correctly there is evidence found in a town 15 miles south of Jerusalem that the kings wife fled with Baruch, who was Jeremiah’s scribe, to save the daughters and the youngest sons lives and to warn the authorities of that the Babylonians were coming. The queen had 2 daughters and a young make child with her. David Doane thinks Mulek is a title and it translates to Prince. The boy was much younger than his older brothers that stayed with King Zedekiah and were killed. The boy was called Mulek which is a title and translates into Prince.

    I believe that I read somewhere that Hugh Nibley translated Mulek as "Little Prince." This would make more sense, if we presume he was the youngest son, because in the ancient Jewish society, the oldest son had the birthright to be the heir apparent, or next king. However, if Mulek meant "Little King," there is another alternative to consider to build on the multi-wife theory. If Mulek was this same Malchaiah, he must have been someone important to have a dungeon, or cistern according to some of those translations posted in the video, in his name. We have a tradition that Mulek was the youngest, but I don't know where that comes from. However, If Mulek's mother was the first wife, then even if she had Mulek later than the half-brothers, the birthright would still go to him. This follows the Law of Hammurabi and is exemplified in the story of Abraham, Sarah, Hagar, Isaac, and Ishmael. What if Mulek was supposed to be the next king, so they smuggled him out to preserve the heir?

  • @perryewell5395

    "Little King" seems like he might have been Zedekiah's oldest son. Might he not have been sent away before the Babylonian attack to protect the family line, or even something like the Ark of the Covenant?

    Interesting video. According to David Doane, Mulek's entourage including his mother and 2 sisters, Jeremiah and Baruch (Jeremiah’s scribe went to Egypt and eventually to Ireland where Jerimiah is buried. The tribes of Dan and Asher occupied land along the Mediterranean coast. They were probably part or all of King Solomon's navy. The Phoenicians occupied the same area as Dan and Asher (Canaanites also in same area that might have survived). Maybe the names of the people were sometimes used interchangeably. At the very least, I believe the Phoenician ship that transported Mulek to ancient America across the Atlantic via the St. Lawrence Seaway was manned by a Dan/Asher crew. I don't believe Mulek's entourage would trust Phoenician sailors who worshipped Baal.
    Ok, my blood pressure is finally back to normal after seeing the Chichen Itza structure twice in the BOMC video. We need to distance ourselves from the Mesoamerican model. It makes zero sense when compared to the heartland model.
    Finally, the Journal of John Morris King (in the church history Library and in FamilySearch) in 1839 proves that Coriantumr lived with the Mulekites for 9 moons and they buried him along the Little Miami River in Ohio! I'm guessing the Mulekites found Coriantumr near Lake Ontario at their First Landing. There were language problems between the People of Zarahemla (Mulekites) and Coriantumr. However, I believe Coriantumr directed the Mulekites to settle near the Des Moines Rapids by the river Sidon before he died. Coriantumr also engraved a large stone that was taken to Mosiah the First who translated it with the Urim and Thummim that Coriantumr had in his possession when he died.
    We also learn from the diary of Elizabeth Baum (1844), that Jaredites had been buried near Nauvoo. Stop looking in Mesoamerica.

    31 was not young. Jews, like many ancient cultures had rites of passage rituals to signify reaching manhood during the early teens. Women often married and bore children at similarly young ages. So, the sons of Zedikiah could have been at or nearing their age of manhood as well. As a father it's difficult to see the past without seeing it through today's eyes. But facts are facts.

    I heard from Wade Brown, a scripture scholar, that the translation of the bible had an error with Zedikiah's sons name and was later corrected and changed to Malchiah after Joseph Smith had published the Book of Mormon. So Joseph Smith's translation was correct before the King James verion of the Bible was.

      These types of rumors are easy to check out. All you have to do is look up Jeremiah 38:6 in the 1611 KJV Bible. Here is the text from that Bible 6Then tooke they Ieremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the sonne of Hammelech that was in the court of the prison: and they let downe Ieremiah with cords: and in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Ieremiah sunke in the mire.

    The prevalent DNA haplogroup in Northern Africa is E-M35 which happens to be the second most prevalent among modern Jews. It is also the haplogroup of such celebrities as Albert Einstein, Brothers Wright, Adolf Hitler and Lyndon Johnson. And my dad 😊.
    Now, E-M35 has traditionally been considered Northern African or Berber (Amazigh), however, new studies suggest its origin to be ancient Israel.

    Speaking as a non-lds person and a Jew, it's an interesting theory but relies heavily on presentism. We currently regularly think of the eldest son (or eldest child in the last few decades) automatically asceding to the throne on the death of the monarch. If you're going to have a monarchy, it's a great system for stability. It's also very recent relatively speaking (roughly from about 1000ce onward, and mainly only in Europe-- the Ottomam empire had a decidedly less savory way of deciding the new monarch). It most definitely was not how the ancient monarchy of Judea functioned. It should be noticed that Shlomo haMelech was not the eldest son nor even a child of the senior wife. The process of selecting a new monarch was decidedly more messy at that point involving both the king naming a successor and the anointing. It's strongly inferred that there was a popular acclamation aspect as well. So Mulek, as the only surviving son, was not automatically the heir to the throne. It could go to any male line descendant of David of which there were lots. Which brings me to;
    The Babylonians were smart. While they killed off the sons of the reigning monarch they took many other male line descendants back to Babylon. Killing off the obvious rally points is one thing, but by keeping the shall we say cadet branches where they could control them they could then keep the peasantry from revolting with the first charismatic guy that comes along (which eventually happened with the Hasmoneans a few centuries later and thus chanukah is a thing). They set up an exilic court, which was eventually moved to Persia, that continued to hear legal disputes until the Mongol invasion in 1258ce. We don't have confirmed genealogies since then but it's believed most who survived stayed in Persia which had a thriving Jewish population until 1979 (when Judaism officially became illegal but immigration was tightly controlled) so it's likely that the senior descendant of Dovid haMelech on earth today was sitting in his home in Isfahan during the recent exchange. Wild when you think about it.
    And yes the community on Djerba is legit super cool. It's a truly fascinating place if you want to fall down a rabbit hole of more research.

    Pretty great video, but what does it all mean? It means that the Lord fulfills all his words when he said that he would continue, The throne of king David. That it would be an everlasting throne that would not depart until not only the first coming of Christ, but also the second coming of Christ. Therefore in that For-told fulfillment we have a couple of options. We have the story of Jeremiah having a special errand from the Lord where he takes Tara the legendary blue eyed, red haired, daughter of King Zedekiah and thus the Royal line of David to the Irish Shores. Tara becomes the father of the 12 kings of Ireland who in legend all had blue eyes and red hair that was characteristic of nonly King David, but also his direct descendent known as Jesus Christ’, part of the artifacts that she carried with her is the stone of scone or the stone that Jacob before he was name was changed to Israel laid his head upon to sleep and saw the stairway into heaven. This throne of of the 12 kings of Ireland is taken up into the British throne who claims the “right of Kings” from david and claims vestiges of that throne, specifically the lion of Judah, which is the animal symbol that not only represents the tribe of Judah in the throne of David, but also the British throne today and on the great seal of Britain you have the lion of David or Judah and the unicorn or ox of Ephraim reunited and hiding in plain sight the vexation of the enmity Of Judah and Ephraim as prophesied in the Old Testament. The remnant remains of Israel and It’s leadership tribe of Ephraim the son of Joseph, who was sold into Egypt, who’s prophetic blessing in Genesis and Exodus to have been separated from Judah and the blessings promised are literally fulfilled in history in the throne of England and the establishment of the United States Republic; is found throughout the western and Nordic Germanic peoples of Europe that are made aware of their sacred identity as they join the church and receive their patriarchal blessings. In these blessings mentioned above given to Ephraim includes the promised, blessing that at one point the separated descendants of Joseph the Prince of Egypt would become a great nation that would at some point control all of their enemies gates meaning they would control all of the trade routes of, the world and you have literal fulfillment of this prophecy when in the 1800s and the 1900s England control the straight of Gibraltar controlled the straight of Magellan controlled. The Cape of Good Hope controlled eventually the Suez Canal and through their counterparts in America, the Panama Canal and also through their control of India and China, the silk Road trade routes, the only time in history did one nation control all of these vital ways of trade was when the sun never set on the single greatest empire in history, the Empire of great Britain literally fulfilling the promises given to Joseph and his descendants in the Old Testament. But what is it all mean? What is the greater picture here? Again, the Lord fulfills all of his words I have never heard the Tongan line of Hagoth Story, but it seems to be in line with the dispersing of not only the tribe of Ephraim and the lost tribes among the nations of Europe, but also in the New World, but also the throne of king David Comes to that hidden continent through the Sons of Lehi in the book of Mormon and then independently through the sun of Zedekiah in his son Muleck, or the little King Who is brought to upper Michigan in the Great Lakes region through the Mediterranean crossing the Atlantic and then found in the bloodlines of the people of Zarahemla and more specifically in the line of Mosiah and finds its Identification personally in Messiah‘s son king Benjamin, who in the new world sets the example of the perfect king and in his blood, you have the Nephite right of Kings through Mosiah the prophet king, combined with the Davidic throne of a female descendent that Mosiah married of the people of Zarahemla, who are descendent from the son of Zedekiah by the name of Muleck who was brought by the famous sea raiders the Phoenicians who are also known as the philistine peoples of Canaan that the tribes of Israel and more specifically king David Warred with throughout his kingdom. These Phoenicians also had great trading routes of iron ore that was brought from the mines in Northern Michigan and there’s been assays done on some of the iron ore in Crete that is the exact iron or from Michigan mines showing that the Phoenicians had regular intercourse with the Americas as they would cross from the Mediterranean and the Atlantic and enter into the great lakes region and mine iron or that would later be found in Crete so we have another link in the story of how Muleck could’ve got to the Americas in a pretty simple fashion by boarding a Phoenician ship and that reunite through Muleck the son of Zedekiah, the Davidic throne. These various continuation of the throne of David, we have the stories of the Lords Diaspora and unification of the two ancient ruling tribes of Israel of the northern kingdom or Ephraim and the tribe of Judah or the southern kingdom and in these peoples bloodlines, we have the ending of the Enmity of the vexation of the tribes of Israel, as the stick of Joseph and the stick of Judah, become one in the Lords hand in the coming fourth of the Old Testament, the New Testament and the book of Mormon. And thus the words of the Lord continue to be fulfilled to us even in this day. I believe in the literal Truth of these things In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

    There is so much amazing plausible evidence that Mulek landed in North America as the Lord also led the Lehites to North America, and the Jaredites to North America, which as Pres Monson said, " “The Lord gave a divine promise to the ancient inhabitants of this favored country (the United States): ‘Behold, this is a choice land, and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free from bondage, and from captivity, and from all other nations under heaven, if they will but serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ” (Ether 2:12).
    “Our Heavenly Father inspired the leaders of…the United States of America, that they might together, under His direction, having been raised up by God for the purpose, establish the Constitution of this country and…Bill of Rights, that by the year of our Lord 1805 [there would be] a climate where our Heavenly Father could send into this period of mortality a choice spirit who would be known as Joseph Smith, Jr.” Teachings of Thomas S. Monson by Thomas S. Monson 2011 (Ordained an Apostle, 1963; ordained President of the Church, 2008)
