There's a lot of similarities between some Canadian and Midwestern accents, but I'm curious... do you mean when I'm doing voices, or just speaking normally? 😆

@Solstin it was a little bit of both, but when you did the voices, it really showed, I live in the midwest/indiana

That's definitely the tradeoff when playing with friends. When I played on a server I almost never saw summer since it was back to winter nearly every time I logged on. As long as everyone has their role and the person or team in charge of farming and food preservation keeps an eye on it, then multi-player can work pretty well!

@@Solstin yeah I agree. I almost fell like it needs to be treated like a DND game where you schedule certain times to be on as a whole and then let it sit until next time in order to play multiplayer. That's why I'm sticking to single but I do so wish to see other people's creations and learn from them! I love your videos by the way I hope you keep them up and keep playing vintage story. Definitely a game I am loving

I can see that being incredible, but would require either a one in several million chance, or using creative to get a bell and boiling water in the right spots!

@@Solstin yeah the video I saw, the guy said it took him a real life day to set it up and then another two days to get the bell where it needed to be. Once we get back around to May 1st in-game, I'll put episodes 12 onward into another big compilation like this! I actually chiselled the stove! The top of it just decorative, with blocks surrounding the two campfires inside. I cut out a little slot behind the oven door handles so I could still interact with the campfires to use cooking pots and such. I put it together in episode 5, I believe.

It's inspired by it, specifically the Terrafirmacraft mod, but Vintage Story is its own standalone game!

Thank you! I feel like it would lessen my own experience if I were to try to deceive everyone about how I'm going about doing things in this world. That, and the guilt would wreck me over time! The only time I find fibbing about things can be alright are for little gags and such like dropping the rotwalker mask into boiling water and suddenly having far less health in the next shot without mentioning that I risked my life to retrieve it, and when I kept calling the brown gambeson red. Plus, especially when it comes to massive builds like the castle, I think showing what steps can be taken to make life a little easier can serve as inspiration for others who might want to tackle a large build in VS but are overwhelmed with the amount of work it can turn into!

When I started the series, putting them into a compilation hadn't even crossed my mind, so I'm very grateful for someone suggesting it since so many people have found enjoyment in the long-form compilation. At least you got a drinking game out of it! It's harder to notice a pattern like that when it's spaced out over the 11 episodes that made up this compilation, so thank you for bringing it to my attention. I can't guarantee that I haven't continued the pattern in the episodes since, but I'll be more conscious of it going forward for sure. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, there's a completely different feeling when a game is built to work in tandem with mods as opposed to a game begrudgingly having mods inserted to change the fundamental framework. If you enjoyed some of the more survival-focused mods for the other block game, I think you'll love Vintage Story!

The survival game it could've been. They each fill a different niche, but Vintage Story definitely has a ton of love from the devs poured into it, and it's only getting better with each update!

The test design for it has been turning out nicely, so I'm really excited to get it built in-game! It's a lot of space to dig out, though, easily tens of thousands of blocks of stone to quarry out!

The rotwalker will rear its head again when the time is right :P

I really need to get some sort of music player set up for streams, specifically for things like that! XD What I'm hoping is that if I put a fence around the chicken coop and chase them inside the fenced off area, that they'll naturally find their way up into the coop. Worst case they'll be enclosed and easy to put into basket traps to manually plop inside the coop!

It'll be safely inside the stables pretty quick at the start of the next episode along with another ram, and I'm working to get lighting everywhere we'll need it! I'll be able to get a lantern in there soon, but I think being open to sunlight is enough to stop them from naturally despawning (the pigs haven't gone anywhere.)

ReBoot was a big part of my childhood, I was so excited when I finally got to meet the cast at a convention and have a concept art book for the show signed by a bunch of them! Hexadecimal's voice actress, Shirley Milliner, was absolutely delightful! As for the Scraps mod, I've taken a look at it a couple of times and it's definitely on my radar as a potential install when we hit a point in the series that Jonas lamps and gas lamps might be great for the castle interior.

I'll find a crown and some fancy jewellery eventually! My outfit goal is more of a working blacksmith look, but there can definitely be multiple sets of outfits to swap between :P

Resin on all sides and possibly tree tapper are definitely on my mind! For the chests, the main thing I have to do is organize chests by the type of item I want to store. As more buildings get made, there'll be a lot more organization. Categorizing all of my stones into labeled chests in the chiseling studio, for one, will clear out about half of the clutter in the farmhouse!

If they're able to gatekeep, they must be further along than I am and already have an actual gate in place! XD

There shall be many a salad fingers moment to come, you'll have your time to bask in the warmth of the rot!
