Nice to have this as a reference…I’m fixing to remove an engine from the last car I purchased because the pickup tube is loose up inside the case .. I guess I’ll have to split the engine to see what is going on…great video I appreciate the playlist ✌️

I’m missing the first digit from my ring finger on my left hand. I do know how it feels 😅 accidents happen. Hope your finger heals well.

It looks great! Your first video on this inspired me to do the same thing in my garage, but I did a few things differently. Since my studs were 16 inches on center, I cut all the boards to 32 inches. I then started at the top of the wall and worked down, only having to cut the bottom one to width. The vertical seams all line up (which may bother some people), but once the shelves, peg board and tool boxes were back in, it is not noticeable. Thanks for all the videos you do and I hope you heal quickly.

Yeah ------- accidents with saws ---- skill -- radial -- table ---- happens more than you think ------ you would think ---- once ---- was enough ---- I have a friend where his neighbor did it once on a table saw ------ and soon after he was able to use his hand ----- yeah ---- you guessed it ------ he removed move of this fingers on that hand --------- I wonder how much it would have cost to put some insulation in behind your boards ----- make it a little warmer in the Winter ------------- You know what they say -------- " I DON;T WANT YOU TO DO THIS " ----- well --- what do they do ------ JUST GOT TO GO DO or TRY IT --------- will have to Google ------------- Wonder how many thought ----- why do one board at time ------- why not nail them ---- ALL ---- up -----then burn them ------ thinking I'm saving all this time -------------- With the finger ----- Wonder if it hurts more than giving a finger a blow with a hammer when you miss the nail -- punch or whatever ------ I better shut up ----- someone may want to go try it ------------ Thanks for the video Slade ------ Hope you have a Good Week ------- Rodney

Just curious why you didn't buy a aftermarket fan shroud without heat ducts?

Thank you Slades, Its been awhile i try to find some one explain the distributor mine got to Vacuum hose I'm not sure if they are mixed the one in the back hook on the side of the carb and the one in front is hook on the front of the carb. i will need to switch them around. My question is more if i add a pertronix distributor with one Vacuum do it will work and i plug the front of the carb.

Great idea! I suppose a constant gasoline odor within the interior would be the tip-off to a potential leak. FWIW, that "vintage" plastic Sunpro vac./pressure tester of your dad's WAS made in China, not Cleveland Ohio! It says so right on the package, upper right corner. "Made in China. Designed and tested in the USA". Dooohh!

A trick I use when using locking pliers to pinch rubber lines, I put pieces of fuel line or heat shrink on the tips of the jaws to prevent damaging the fuel line!

Where are you located that you have super beetles that you can go and get parts all at the salvage yard I haven't seen the old VW in a junkyard in these parts for many years

Great information and video on testing fuel line. Food for thought. Another way you could test fuel line is placing a rubber cap on one end to ensure positive seal, and then use a hand vacuum pump/brake bleeder… If you lose vacuum than line has a hole in it somewhere.

My fuel line dropped down in the tunnel and didn't want to hack mine up either so I ran it under the tunnel to bin fine .
