In reality, what came before is what we have now: a plutocracy, which is a kind of oligarchy wherein the wealthy rule. Said plutocracy was/is thinly disguised as a "democracy" (a disguise that's rapidly falling apart these days, incidentally). As it happens, that's actually also what the NCR is developing into in Fallout, courtesy of the brahmin barons! So while it's true that the NCR represents something like a return to the old world, that old world was no democracy and was by no means truly egalitarian ... and neither is the NCR. Not really. Embracing House is a lot more like embracing the old world than he would have you believe. While he may sit at the top, wealth stratification will continue unchecked just as it did in the old world. The masses will continue to be poor while a select few are wealthy, just like in the old world. And just like in the old world, the wealthiest will still disproportionate political influence and power, even if it's through him. House sets himself up as a departure, but he really still represents repeating the mistakes of the past, just in the most admittedly optimal way you can do so. Meanwhile, the NCR represents repeating the mistakes of the past and also doing so suboptimally, and the Legion represents going dramatically backwards like a deranged lunatic. In my opinion, the best outcomes for New Vegas are as follows: 1. Independent (with a good and enlightened Courier) 2. Mr. House 3. NCR 4. Independent (with a shitty Courier) 5. Nuked to oblivion 6. ? 7. ? 8. ? 9. ? 10. Caesar's Legion

while playing fnv at a certain point, you stop walking everywhere, you fast travel. not because the world isnt interesting, but because its just so damn tedious when you could just teleport to the closest place from where you need to go. but if i could drive, maybe not even a car, but a motorcycle (which imo would be the vehicle that would make the most sense in the fallout universe) ooooh i would never fast travel. at the start of new vegas when you go to the first noteworthy location, trudy's bar, there's like 3 or 5 motorcycles in front of it. SO frustrating to see this cool ass opportunity be denied. and just imagine the possibilities, there could be traps on the road for ambushes and whole new types of interactions. idk, i just feel like its just plain stupid to not add it

Just loose though Fusion cores were invented and manufactured by MassFusion to power things like a T-45 Power Armor right ? So how did a company like MassFusion create smth so small and compact using fusion tech, while the whole commonwealth was running on their fission tech disguised as fusion tech ,a company that only worked out how to use fusion months before nukes dropped ? Answear they didn't FUSION CORES are another marketing blunder to sound nice and fancy when in reality they are refined mini nuclear (fission) reactors probably using either a solid moderator or molten salt or basically any other tech thats unknown to us cause fallout world has many technologies unknown to us. Just a loose thought tho, have good night now that I probably ruined ur view on Fusion Cores 😊
