i think you guys think Eren had absolute control of everything and like wrote script of his life, The way I see it is when he had the control he had to alter things to make it exactly as it was in the past and that he got no choice in his past till the point when Ymir gave him founding's power even he sees everything simultanously for 4 years, its not the past and future where you see them and you alter for your taste

He has integrity toward who he IS and doesn't have attachment to a goal. Winning (or losing) is just a fallout.
