I liked Ange's pointing out of the solar system theme. The OG Phantom Troupe members (and especially the more poweful ones) tend to have abilities that are space-related. We saw that with Jupiter and Rising Sun in these 2 episodes, but even back in the Yorknew City Ark, we saw that with Uvo's Big Bang Impact

Feitan's ability is just another great example of the concept of conditions and sacrifice to power up nen. His condition is getting hurt in order to get stronger which is messed up. He essentially had an arm rendered useless in order to do that sort of damage, and apparently can do even more if he was even more injured.
Great way for the author to show how instant power ups have consequences and something to keep in mind when thinking of all nen powers and practitioners moving forward

@@xdrago5602 'subplot' would describe it better. It shows how the 'Luiten ants' that scattered after the queen died are not strong enough to survive on their own, hence explaining why some ants return to the king for help.
Can I just say, thank you so much for breaking up the video with time stamps. So many reactors either dont do that, or just arent consistent in doing it, but you guys always crush it. It makes me so much more likely to watch the whole video if I know how long each segment is rather than having to either guess or scroll through. I wish I could subscribe twice just for this lol

regarding "you're better than that" with Shalnark, one must consider that he's really strong for a Manipulator, but it generally isn't a direct combat class, Illumi being a bit of an anomaly.
Even Illumi so far has shown less combat ability than Shalnark, given he hasn't shown anything that directly boost himself. There is a question mark if the shapeshifting can do that though.

Jupiter of Battle Cantabile's Bonolenov, it was directly inspired by Gustav Holst's masterpiece, "The Planets, Opus32".
You can hear the music played in the background of these two episodes was also adapt from Holst's Jupiter.

They didn’t mean filler as in not cannon, they meant that it’s not progressing the main plot

It ultimately wraps up some plot threads (Zazan/Pike/Ponzu’s killler) too. Even if it’s not the most significant stuff, it helps to solve the ‘what about the ants that left on their own’ question.

Yep, there are 5 Zoldyk kids, including Killua. The tour guide who took Gon, Leorio and Kurapika to Killua's house so long ago mentioned the 5 kids but a lot of people miss or forget.

First, one of the ants killed (the one killed by bonelov) was also the one who killed Ponzu (bee girl).
Second, you can already know the name of said hidden sibling, there is a pattern to the naming.

I love how the Troupe came back to defend Meteor City, their hometown (the OG troupe members). Folks just like the Troupe lived in harsh conditions in Meteor City, and went to extreme lengths to deal with outside threats. So it makes sense why Phinks was mad about the Ants (meteor city people) not wanting to live/defend their hometown. Kinda sad tbh.

Just because you don't like them doesn't others won't, they should at least have the chance to find out for themselves which is why I brought it to their attention.

well that's your opinion but most people including me consider them to be terrible. the characters are these weird flanderised, almost fandom editions of themselves and they follow extremely generic and bland storylines. the movies are essentially what hunter x hunter would be if it was written by someone with no manga writing experience. carlie and ange understand the characters really well so I think the characters decisions and actions in the movies would just confuse them

No front, but the reaction was very underwhelming from what i expected. For many ppl (beside the obvious upcoming fight), the troupe vs the ants is a highlight in this arc.

Bro it's filler in a sense of it's not tied that directly to the main plot and there not gonna be further dragged in it rather this was them showcasing their ability killing one troublesome group of ants occupying there home town also they didn't miss anything so I can't see what the complaint is about.
@@supreme_cream I don't agree with the guy but that is not what a filler is when used in anime. A filler is episodes that are anime only, or totally unrelated to the story as a hole. Like a beach episode that clearly has no place. This episodes shows established characters and reason for the current arc that if left alone people would complain about how ants left and were never dealt with plus shows us what the troupe are doing for the future

And the troupe were and still are apart of the main story, just because 1 arc begins doesn't mean those characters are just side throw away characters. Everything in those episodes progress the main story so even by your own meaning it isn't filler. Just because it isn't following the "main characters" doesnt mean it isnt the main story.
