I used loft insulation foam which I carved with an old kitchen knife. It comes in two depths and I used the deeper foam here. In the Uk it is called Kingspan and I get off cuts from neighbours and friends who are having building work done.

House selling in the uk is rubbish. Still not moved. No massive chains and no real reason. Just solicitors asking lots of questions!

Thank you. That is very kind. I really enjoyed making this a typical English village (I had nowhere in particular in mind but have visited all of these places over the years). I just enjoy the whole creating process.

Thanks for your comments. I had actually got a buyer. A reseller who was going to move it for me but they too are delighted it is going to a family. They are a super family and we are happy they will have the house never mind the railway. Will we keep in touch? Who knows? But I am making sure it all works for them!

We do have a stairlift but not to each floor!! The new house will be much more manageable and the stairlift will go with us! So very pleased the new people wanted the layout and I am leaving them some kits and extra buildings as well. Good luck with your own build.

Thanks. Fortunately we are recovering. It was just a shock to test positive.

Thankfully it was just like a heavy cold. We had to test for a hospital appointment for my husband and were surprised it was Covid. Still felt rotten but we say thank goodness for the vaccines as we are on the mend!

Please look into taking a vitamin D supliment to boost the immune system. I was taking at the height of the pandemic. It may help. Dr John Campbell. Has just done a very interesting video called the second pandemic

Yes they are pulled round by the magnets and the movement comes from a tiny plastic wheel going round with the feet attached. Clever but rather fragile!!!

Mine now looks like a bomb has hit it as I am having a complete reorganisation. I have someone coming at the end of this month who has bought my old 00 gauge layout, and as it’s a reseller, I’m taking the chance to let her take as much as I can. I have accumulated an awful lot of things!!

Thanks Patrick and I agree. New purchases aren’t bought on a whim now due to the cost. I have only been in the hobby for a few years and everything was a reasonable price when I first started. Even eBay is expensive. Oh well! I enjoy it all too much to stop!!

I was 3D scanned by a UK based company called ModelU who make incredibly realistic figures for model railways etc. They will also scan individuals and make figures for them. The scan was part of this process. I have the figures. Just need to paint them.

It is a company in the Uk called ModelU. They 3d scanned me and this is the scanned version. I also have a figurine in oo gauge but haven’t painted it yet!
