3d SCANNED MODELU VERSION OF ME (Carol Flavin) VISITING MY OWN LAYOUT!!

- I was 3d scanned by ModelU in November 2023 when I was at the Warley National Exhibition at the NEC as a demonstrator.
Using the AR (Augmented Reality) part of the 3d scan they sent me, I decided to have some fun and visit some of my own layout - The Harland Light Railway.
I made a video to show to my family and also to share with the model railway community.
I hope you enjoy it but please note. - I am no professional and you may see some variations in scale BUT I had a lot of fun making it and hope you enjoy watching it.

3D modelled/printed figures are the future for model railroads. This figure looks so much more realistic than the classic minifiigures.
I agree. You can get a much more realistic look and feel with them. 🙂

It is a company in the Uk called ModelU. They 3d scanned me and this is the scanned version. I also have a figurine in oo gauge but haven’t painted it yet!

I was 3D scanned by a UK based company called ModelU who make incredibly realistic figures for model railways etc. They will also scan individuals and make figures for them. The scan was part of this process. I have the figures. Just need to paint them.
