- Adding scree to a model mountain was a way to add realism to my oo9 narrow gauge layout The Harland Light Railway. Having visited the Ffestiniog Railway I decided the mountain with the mine needed scree and rocks tumbling down it. I used Javis real stone n and oo gauge ballast and Modpodge glue to do this. I also used Gaugemaster leaves, scatter and bushes that they gave me to use in my modelling.

Thanks Carol! It's looking great. I'm always excited to get notifications of your new postings. 😊
Thank you. It’s good to hear someone is enjoying watching the videos. I like doing ‘how to do it’ videos.
Janet and Bill both enjoy the progress of your railway. Bill from California, USA
Thank you. I am really enjoying making the layout - so pleased the videos are of interest.
Thanks Carol. Most interesting.
Thank you - pleased you found it interesting.
I did find it helpful and I liked time frame. Short and on point
Thanks. I try to keep all my videos under 10 minutes - this was even shorter!! Pleased you found it useful.
G'day Carol, just found you, so good too see your work, I am going to catch up with all your other episodes ,I started my Layout in 1999,15 sq Mts, not finished of course! sadly I had a Stroke last Year and I am not able to Enjoy it anymore, but such is life! Paul from Perth Western Australia.
Hi Paul. Sorry to hear that you’re no longer able to work on your own layout, although working on a much smaller one at the moment, 15 m² sounds quite challenging at the best of times. Good to hear from you.
Great video. Some good tips. Keep up the good work.
Thank you. I had some photos of the Ffestiniog Railway I took in June to help me!
I'm really enjoying seeing The Harland Light Railway being created, as I'm planning a 009 layout myself, which will be my second layout. The first one is 00 gauge built for my grandson and is all about having fun. Have you ever thought about joining the Railway Modellers Club, it's great fun. Keep up the good work, cheers James 🙂👍
Thanks James. We seem to have many of the same ideas / motivation ie grandkids. Thanks for pointing me towards the Railway Modellers Club. I hadn’t joined out of inertia, but will do now that you have prompted me to do so!!
@CarolFlavinlocoladies I will look forward to catching up with you on there, Carol. Just spotted you and clicked on to follow you 🙂👍
Another instructive short. What gauge are you running?
Thank you. This is narrow gauge - OO9
