RECONFIGURING MY MODEL RAILWAY ROOM - IMPROVING ACCESS TO THE HARLAND LIGHT RAILWAY

- The HLR has appeared in Railway Modeller twice in 2023- as a Plan of the Month in AorIl 2023 and after 6 months of hard work in DECEMBER 2023. Once all the fine detail has been added, it will be a further article in RM in 2024.
However …. I was having problems reaching all of the layout and, and struggling to move it around on the castors. So I decided to completely reconfigure my Model Railway Workroom with the help of a neighbour who came and moved all of the tables, boxes and in particular The Harland Light Railway layout around to make it more accessible.
I am really happy with the result so thought I would share a short video with you of what we did. I also (and incidentally) gained ready access to a useful cupboard and magnetic notice board and gave the layout a plain wall background that will make it easier to photograph for the completed layout article in RM and new videos on progress.
The HLR is an oo9 narrow garage layout loosely based in Yorkshire.
