I cannot get over with the tundra's interior, massive improvement for Toyota
Same here...SUPER HUUUUUUUUUGE IMPROVEMENT ON THE INTERIOR!!! IM EXTREMELY SHOCKED!!
Looks like a toy you find at Walmart.
Truck is gay.
They did great job. But one thing I disliking is the back and front bumper. Idk if its yhe camera but why does bumper look way bigger then it should?
When looking from the side. It look like my 2019 gmc denali haha
@@RM-xx6fm Probably looks better in person. Most Toyotas usually do.

Absolutely LOVE the new Tundra thanks for bringing it to us Joe. I know you are just as excited as we are and I can't wait to see one at my local dealership. Keep up the amazing work. Can't wait to see you offroad in one of these.
I really like your passion for cars & trucks, and you give a ton of information in all your videos. And it’s refreshing to not hear somebody tell me to like and subscribe every video in the first 20 seconds. Keep up the good work, Joe!
*Out of all the automotive journalists with the Tundra, i was waiting on this one to see the tundra in it's natural habitat*
We really appreciate you Joe for everything you do. Keep up the good work.
This is a real winner. Love it! I love how in depth you hit your reviews
Love watching your videos, helps keep me informed of what I'm going to buy when I get back stateside after being stationed overseas. Yes it's going to be the new Tundra. 😎
Finally! A road test is here. Couldn't wait to try the new tundra at my local dealer.
I’m digging this new Tundra even though they dropped the V8
I totally agree with you! You have to drive this beast!
But it has more HP and torque than the V8
@@kyqorioskygo8999 so?
I think they dropped the v8 because they put a twin turbo
@@kyqorioskygo8999 Right, he's got more horsepower, but he's actually weaker.
I love the interior!. The power as well!. Heck, I love the Truck itself!!!
These two do a very good job with the reviews. Great attention to detail. I've enjoyed them.
I’ve been watching a lot reviews but I need the heavy hitters, you one 1 out of the top12 they be knocking it out. Great review on this one Raiti been a longtime Toyota, you’ll really took you’ll time an patients putting this out
Awesome review Joe! Well done 👍
Oh yeah, I'm glad you tested the beast off road too! Great review! 💪👍
You guys make a great team. Thanks for consistently great content.
You crack me up! Loved the Charmin TP comment, lol! Best reviews as always. Disappointed no heated rear seats and yea those rear seat air vents are a zonk. Definitely a huge improvement but not up to par with the new GM refreshed trucks. Looking forward to driving the new GM trucks with super cruise! Thanks, Joe!
I’m absolutely loving it!
Great review. I’m surprised they went with a 10 speed but Honda and Acura are proof 10 speeds can be good! What a truck, love the power. Can’t wait to see what they’ll do with the 4Runner. Praying for more power with it too!!
Thank you for making this video! I detail for Toyota so this shows me what to expect for unpacking, and detailing
Great review. Love this guy’s energy! 2018 Platinum spoiled, but I’m loving this truck. Holding out for another year, but all systems go.
Wow. I want one for crawling now. Thanks for the video brother!
Joe, glad you enjoyed driving our new Tundra. As a person who helped and had a very small part in the development of both the 07 and 22 tundra, thanks for your review. im excited to have a New 2022 TRD-PRO in my driveway soon!
Oh, why didn't you guys put a base V8 in the SR version of the Tundra? Apparently the Sr version only makes 348 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque, which I find strange since it has the same powertrain as the SR5 which makes 389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. Please explain why this is so.
@@romairoblackstock5100 im
Not in charge so i have no say in it, but my guess is the US and world government want to reduce emissions over all.. so blame your government and EPA requirements not Toyota for the change…
@@dennisyounkin644 okay
@@dennisyounkin644 now why does the SR trim have way less power than the other trims.
@@romairoblackstock5100 SR5 is the entry level Trim package as far as I know, so no bells a whistles or high horsepower!
Great job again Joe! Great job Lori all the time with that camera!
Love the video and thanks to you all I can’t get u saying “the amazing suspension action” in the off road part out of my head 😂😂😂u kept saying it over and over
Raiti makes accelerating and merging look so good in the new Tundra!
Man this on Orange like i saw on the press photos it's just made for my garage , but I'm still staggered by the size of this behemoth 😎🤙🤯
Love the video, and I love the truck also! One note, the independent rear suspension you were talking about is not independent. It’s a 4 link solid axle with coils or airbags on some models.
Always a pleasure to watch you and your videos this truck is pretty damn nice 👌
Love the Tundra and good job on the video.
Great Video 😊👍🏽👍🏽 I’ve own a 2002 Tundra with the V8 from brand new and it still runs like brand new. I love it. Each time I go to test drive a new Tundra I always appreciate mine more. Their pricing has gone crazy and at the end of the day it’s still a truck not a Rolls Royce. What’s the cost on this one? You never gave us an idea.
Loving this channel!
Man, o man o chevits! That is a really sweet truck. Dang! That's a great looking, truck. Great features ... And of course great review from you and Lori.
I absolutely love it! I really hope Toyota offers this same redesign with the TRD Pro for the Sequoia! I’d trade in my SUV in a heartbeat!!
Toyota nailed it!!
Joe that would be my dream toyota tundra right here in this review that red interior is sick 😷 gorgeous
I actually really enjoy the history lesson in the beginning. Thank you!
Great video, can't wait to order mine
Soooo stoked! Love the power plant options and how professional! the overall presentation is....so sleek. So sexy! Can't wait! I'm trading in my 2019 4Runner TRD off road for this new Tundra 👏🏼😁
sell it to me instead, i’ll pay trade in value 😂
@@kingjay6756 You got it!
Thanks Lori....keep filming in this way it works....
Thanks!
love the reviews.... best out here... great job...
Thank you Joe, I really enjoy your colorful reviews, you make it fun! I've been waiting for this updated Tundra for years and it's finally here but I'm not going to buy it in 2022. I'm going to wait for the 2023 just because I want to see if they're going to work out any bugs that may appear. I'm kind of a hypocrite though, I bought the first Tundra in 2000 and I still have it, it has 104,000 miles on it and it still runs like a top. Sure, it's got a little tired but I'm going to spend the next couple years having it brought as close to original as financially possible. This won't stop me from buying a new 2023 but I want to have both. I'm actually emotionally attached to my 2000 Tundra, I've had tons of people trying to buy it from me but I always tell them no, I'll have that truck until I stop ticking. Thanks again Joe, great review, I'll think I'll watch it again!!
the best part of your reviews is your suggested storage of the most random objects anyone could possibly consider
Bought the all new 2007 Tundra in 2007 and loved it. It pushed the industry forward in many ways. Fast forward to 2022 and Toyota once again greatly pushes full size truck innovation onward. Great job Toyota!
Yes, the 2007 with 5.7 was somewhat innovative. I had a v6 turbo back in 1981, and they were around years before that. What do you consider innovative or pushing industry standards on the 2022 Tundra?
@@twoweeledsoto6072 Powertrain for one. No other truck has married the electric motor into the drivetrain the way that Toyota has. I really like the button on the taillight to open the bed. All of the trucks have really stepped up as far as tech and capability so just catching up in many areas and still maintaining Toyota’s legendary reliability which I expect to be still outstanding will keep Toyota in a great position for growth.
Cant wait to get one next year! Trd pro. Thanks for the awesome review brother
Fantastic review as always, really loving the interior. Lol@ freshly squeezed milk🤣🤣
That camo interior and steering wheel 🔥🔥
Lorie deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for her award winning camera work.
FANTASTIC REVIEW JOE 👏 .
Love your work joe👍
Excellent review as always 👏. I'm really impressed by this truck. Wonder how it will be priced compared to the f150 raptor and tremor.
Joe “one take” Raiti! Full throttle!
Amazing review as always boss! 1million subs here we come haha
I’m extremely impressed, SR5 with the TRD package, with the 14” screen, blind spot monitor. For the money. I’m all in.
There is no way this new turbo charged V6 will be as reliable as the NA V8. I have 2 master mechanic friends who also said the same thing. One was a race car mechanic for 25 years and the other was a Lexus mechanic for 21 years. They said there is NO way a turbo engine will last even close to a naturally aspirated engine!. They both said they would buy the V8 any day over the V6TT.
Dude, if the next 4Runner uses any design inspiration from this Tundra, I’m definitely going to get one!
Seeing the leaks of the next gen taco, it mostly likely will.
the tacomaand the all lineup is going for something similar, it started with the new Lexus NX, Land Cruiser and few others, the good news is all the models are going as nice ir even nicer than this truck...
Smaller engine with turbo will be on there too. I guess we will be having this same video with the 4Runner next fall.
@@boughtandpaidforautoreview1150 enough time to save up money!
I’m not a fan of turbos. I ordered a 2022 4Runner. Last of the durable 4Runner before they change it to turbocharged 4cylinder.
Wow Joe you sure do come up with some hilarious ways to use the storage bins in these trucks or any car that you review LOL!
Great review !!! What a beast and beauty. Def gotta check this one out since I’m in the market for a new truck. Heads up display I hate it anyways it’s a distraction for me.
27:10 Didn’t think the truck was so fast until I saw the trees disappearing when you launched it.
Great review Joe, looks like you had lots of fun driving that new power train! But there’s a reason I don’t close my door after getting in my truck until I’ve started it. #v8smiles
Can't wait to test drive one! Great review! Now I need a twinkie!
Thank you. This looks awesome!
Great looking truck. More power is nice but with the V8 there’s no worry about the longevity of a turbo or electric motor. Something to consider for those looking for long term ownership. Nice review Joe and great job Lori!! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
abysmal MPG and not even the power or tow leader. epic failure. Range is shit. No AWD setting

The tundra isn't famous bc of features, efficiency, 0-60, or interiors. The truck is famous for being stupidly reliable and sounding awesome.
After seeing the Platinum trim in that blue, that's the one I want 😍. I'm checking on Toyota's site everyday for the configurator!
Thanks for showing the TRD PRO

Cybertruck has entered the chat😊
I’m totally impressed with this truck! I’ve been waiting for you to do a driving review of it and now you have I know they wouldn’t let you do it on your last review LOL! Now unless the price is ridiculous I am definitely thinking about ordering one of these or hopefully getting one at the dealer but these days it’s almost impossible to buy anything off the lot at least here in New Jersey.
Raiti you are my favorite car review channel.
I love it my boy Joe keep up the work and I love the video 💯 good 💯 👍 best
I love the big chunky redesign, especially the interior, but I’m old school when it comes to trucks having a V8 option, even with less power. For me it’s just part of the driving experience, but I’m sure plenty others won’t care as long as they get the power.
You cannot even hear these trucks, thats a huge no for me. A friend has a tesla model x, its the fastest thing I have ever sat in but makes no noise and bc if that I didn't really find it fun to drive, plus its ride quality was worse than my tundra. The overall sensation of driving and what matters I think differs person to person, but I agree with you. V8 all the way.
I need this in my life.
ZERO to 60 in 3.9 seconds!......
R u willing to Give up one of ur kidney or a leg? 😅😝
That interior design is amazing 👏
Man I been deciding on a truck and ots been the 2021 Dodge Ram limited but now u opened my mind to this one looks and sounds amazing minus the exhaust sound being restricted and the heads up display I always been a turbo fan 😉 owned turbo cars and this is an amazing truck just the look and specs wow still deciding great video 🙏😁😁
I am so glad that I could bring this one to your attention!
Listening to you go through the specs this is sounding more and more like a Ford F150! 3.5 L TwinTurbo V6 and all that good stuff but I’m really liking this vehicle I may have to go look at one when I can go see one.
Yeah hopefully with reliability of Toyota. If not, stay away from twin turbo set up on trucks
@@alwaysdriven I’ve had four F150’s including a raptor and never had a problem with TwinTurbo.
@@hellraiserx9490 that's good to know. Maybe you don't tow alot. I know a few people who tow on a regular and their ecoboost trucks doa good job but they fail after a few years

That is so freaking awesome man!
Very nice truck for those that can afford it. I think the lunar rock one looks great 👍
MEG'S, X in the City, Y on the Highway, and Z combined. Nothing is set in stone but this Tundra is dandy.
Hey Lori ! you must love it, I heard a little chuckle. Great job! I love the truck Joe. On my list. 😎👍P.S the power looks pretty good. I really hope it's going to be reliable.
I’ll def consider this over my 21 pro when the V8 is optional
Same not a fan of the hybrid
Really hoping with the 4runner redesign it comes with the new motor/trans as well as interior similarity. Thats what im truly waiting for and so far with the tundra its looking good.
We will see how it all pans out!
I want it. I've been looking for a new car and thanks to you I know exactly what to get once it comes out
Toyota really hit the nail on the head on this exterior and interior design. Need to buy one soon!
Hey Toyota, just give us a V8!
A truck of this size needs a good sounding V8. If not, I'm going for an other brand.

Thanks for letting me bring this one to you!
I do have an interesting question. Since the engine is off when you stop, can you turn that setting off in the setting menu. Or is it a mandatory fixed setting for the hybrid truck
Generally there is a button you can press that turns the function off…I believe it’s something you would have to do every time you get in
Reliability with performance and cool electronics !
Considering everything ,2022 tundra is ahead of other competitors for me.
They seriously have upped their game on this new Tundra!
Ehh I’d be a bit more weary on the reliability part. While I trust this will be more reliable than the big 3 domestics you also have to remember this is the most mechanically complex tundra ever built with the turbo v6 and 10 speed and a brand new hybrid system design unlike any prior Toyota hybrid ever to exist
This probably won’t go the 300-500k miles like the old tundra
I was wondering if the ACC on the new tundra is as stupid as the ram or not.😂 My ram almost killed me slamming the brake on the highway, with nothing at the front.
@@jinchengshi3191When you said the Ram slammed on the brake, you might be referring to the pre collision system. The radar cruise control doesn’t slam on the brakes. It gradually decelerates your car smoothly to low speeds or even a stop. It won’t panic stop like thr pre collision system does
On an interview one of their engineers told that they tested those engine for several years 24/7, 30 Days a month until something breaks down. Then find out what happened. Fix it. Ran again.
Maybe less reliable then previous model but still more then other competitors!!
That Bison burger and San Antonio milk had my dying 😂 thank you brother 😁
I am so glad that I can share the Tundra and some laughs with you!
I have a question.. what happens with that front grill when it comes to winter? I feel like that snow will build up and make it hard to remove.
Love the truck but that’s one of my concerns .
I love LOVE the sound of a V8!! I gotta tell ya Joe this truck is making me change my mind on that! The new design is awesome and I am so happy to see they FINALLY added the composite bed to the Tundra from the Tacoma . My thing I don’t like is the fender flares I think they should have been the same color as the whole truck
I just happened to be at the dealership this Saturday and they had one and it instantly caught my eye I love the new design too
paint them. big deal. V8s from Toyota suck gas like no one else. terrible
Can’t wait to buy this next year
Awesome truck! Just love it! Will be picking one up soon…
Sounds like a plan.
