Since I was a young kid, Toyota is always a very dependable truck or car. I had a 1991 Toyota celica, that was my first car when I was stationed in Hawaii as a new grunt. Spent 3 there and 9 years in fort hood, my car was very reliable and didn’t have any major issue with it. I understand what the main engineer goals and fully understand what his mission is. Give a very reliable truck with very good updates, towing stability, and much more. I like the way he thinks, take some of the good things, from every flat form. Combine it all and minor adjustments, and there you have it. I would like to own one. By the way y’all, good morning from San Antonio Texas.

I appreciate what the guy says about towing. Just because another truck has 300lbs or 1000lbs on you, doesn’t mean it’s fun doing that. And if you’re consistently towing 12000lbs then you should probably be driving an HD truck in the first place.
1/2 ton trucks are more for daily driver convenience, capability, and reliability than a max tow rating. I’m hopeful this truck has all of that and is extremely successful.

TFL is the best. Not to say other channels out there aren't great, but TFL is king. I noticed, at least in my sub feed, that your coverage of the new Tundra has had the most views. Great discussion with the actual chief engineer. He was definitely genuine and really excited. You could tell he loves his job, and was very humble. I think this attitude is what in part sets Toyota apart from the other auto makers. Great job Andre! 👍😀

Congratulations to Andre and to TFL on an exceptional review. I’ve watched almost all the reviews of the upcoming Toyota Tundra and this is BY FAR the best, most comprehensive and detailed review out there. Possibly, the best non-driving review of any vehicle to-date. One item I’d be interesed in learning - does the hybrid version of this truck have regenerative braking like Toyota’s other products?

Andre- I've has my problems with a lot of TFL stuff, but you did a brilliant job on the Tundra launch. You've asked a lot of great questions, and Sweers went into detail on many questions I had, especially about the frame and engines. I'm an auto journalist myself (I've been doing cars and motorcycles for over 20 years), and although I rarely go to launches these days due to time constraints, hopefully we'll run into each other one day and I can share a beverage. Keep up the great work-
