  • In this episode I replace the stock chargepipe on my N54 135i with an upgraded VRSF with Tial atmospheric BOV. Now I can turn up the boost without worrying about the stock plastic pipe exploding, like they are known to do.

    I know this is a BOV video but I really like the exhaust did you tune your n54 to back fire ? Or burble as it’s called on mhd tuner I think 🤔

      This is tuned using mhd and I think the burble was set to medium in this video. Check out my previous videos for the full exhaust build.

    • @Kordare
      @Kordare  Před 5 lety +1

      I ended up putting the charge pipe in place but not attached to the throttle body, then put the coupler in. Its tight but you should be able to flex it enough to get it in.

    4:28 the part closest to the camera venting to the left of the screen. I have that on my 135i too. Is that the stock blow off valve? I can't seem to find a description for it online. Kind of a moot point anyway but I'm curious.

    • @seanwilks7712
      @seanwilks7712 Před 9 měsíci

      The stock setup uses diverter valves to recirculate the air back into the system, a BOV releases the air into the atmosphere.

    • @davindraboodoosingh4722
      @davindraboodoosingh4722 Před 4 lety +1

      Kordare At some point later down the road I’d recommend you cap the 1/8 which is just behind the throttle body on the intake manifold and use a true 1/4 reference. Either by tapping into the manifold or getting the brake booster adapter from bms (which coms with everything you need) You’ll definitely notice a difference.

    • @Kordare
      @Kordare  Před 4 lety +1

      n54 is known for misfires, mine did it too. There are a lot of things it could be, plugs, carbon buildup, vanos solenoid, etc. If it happened after installing this, check for boost leaks.
