    *D.I.Y.* ( E Q A U L A ) Plans on the FLY ??? Hello, Like most commenters out there. Q&A along with WHAT were YOU thinking Comes to mind today ? I will Agree with SOME of the choices being made. YET, A Common Phrase comes to mind ( All the Same ) " In the END - It ALL Goes Back to the B E G I N N I N G " Colder Climates tend to LEND themselves to other issues NOT being addressed in the southern portions of the world around us. NAILS, Fasteners, How many and where ? TIMBER LOCKS Pressure treated RATED , Galvanized and also heat or Cement Dipped all have a specific place and need to be met still. A copy of a image of an online shed turned into a shop on a slope of three feet grade change in the span of 12 feet of ??? THINK of all this as the VOICE of REASON who is looking over YOUR shoulder . Check ( DOUBLE CHECK ) Then Check it all over again. Top to bottom, Side to side, Front to back , Inside and out Clockwise then Counter clock wise. Its never to late to do the right things before MISTAKC and budgets get out of whack like a OOPPS or Dam and On No now have to go backwards again and again and again. The Entire REASON YOU TUBE has a COMENT SECTION at All ? Might be LESS about more then MORE or Less wanting to point out what is about to go wrong. The saying ( BE Careful What YOU ask For - BECAUSE - You May Just Get it in Spades or worse ) is fitting to be stated due to what is and also is not being addressed from the beginning to the end..

    Happy this got suggested to me. My granddad on my dads side is a carpenter and built his own home from nothing with my great grandpa. My grandpa on my moms side was a metal erector. And then there's me who never learned either lol. I've always had a huge interest in building things, but because of cost i can't take the financial risk of doing something wrong. Love this video.

    Great project and vid. One design and structure comment: your roof structure has limited shear bracing. American construction typically has sheet panel sheathing under the roof material which does much of that role. Depending on the gauge of the steel roof you used it is going to have bracing effect but with inherent flex and movement it's a bit deficient in the flat horizontal plane at the top of the wall level. It's usual to add full corner to corner diagonal at ceiling joist level or at least cross bracing on each roof plane to do this. Ply shelving layer on ceiling joists is superb way to do this. Nice shed tho, love the ramps, nice work on getting that trapezoid shape to touch level on both the floor and ground!

    • @Kordare
      @Kordare Před 17 hodinami

      Thanks a lot! And yeah my house has that diagonal shear bracing you mentioned. With how small the roof is, the combination of purlins and the metal itself seems to do the job sufficiently.

    • @DiscoFang
      @DiscoFang Před 9 hodinami

      @@Kordare Yeah it is amazing during construction how adding sheet roofing suddenly adds massive lateral rigidity to a garage. Your construction is definitely pretty burly as it is. If you ever felt it needed it you could add them across the mid rafter ties. Either strapping or ply.

  • @CrazyMooseManor
