Blue Loctite ALL bolts and also make sure you lube the axles and swingarm pivot bolt thoroughly. They're great bikes but you have to go through them completely. Change the oil several times as it wears in properly. Keep an eye on the chain tension regularly. The cheapo china chains tend to wear and "stretch". I'd recommend replacing the chain with an RK chain.
Great suggestions 👍
Do you have to loctite all bolts or can you get away without doing it?
@@xgdubjrx821 its to be safe because the Chinese bolts sometimes easily fall out or snap but its not necessary
@@xgdubjrx821 if you don't put blue loctite on every bolt on a dirt bike, some of them will eventually rattle out.
old school mechanic here two big tips I can give you for these kinds of bikes, firstly, make sure you change out the Jets in the carburetor they're typically tuned really really lean from the factory, and secondly, make sure you change your oil after a couple dozen hours of running for the break-in procedure. also check your valves around that same time to make sure there's nothing loosey-goosey in there.
I appreciate the tips!
@@Kordare any time boss, if you run into any maintenance issues, Motocheez is a good source here on CZcams, he specializes in Chinese motorcycles among other things.
Coming from a mechanic I respect not everyone will give you advice on bikes very much appreciated
Very very important that carb gets plenty of air. Changed to a high volume air filter and what a difference. Make sure air fuel adjustment is dialed in (copper colored on spark plug electrode). You can feel the difference! Also I removed spark arrestor.
Thanks for the tips🤘
Forgot to say. Used the ubiquitous mikuni clone. Vm22. 1 3/4 out on air. Hope this helps.
@@ratdad48 awesome that's the one I bought
@@ratdad48 adjustments will be different due too elevation, also if your doing air/fuel/exhaust spark advancement will really wake it up.
That's great advice. I like to tinker with it. Any videos out there on that. Im stuck on this torque and speed, about 52. Thanks!
Sounds really good...Like perfectly tuned!
I'm impressed with the wheel clearance too!
I had one, they’re great bikes but if you plan on doing wheelies, watch out for the rear wheel hub it started cracking so the wheel hub flopped around then the chain popped off because of it and locked up the motor, Besides that it ran super good and the motor was strong
Thanks for the word of caution 👍
How much did it cost
@@juliantrresblomberg7430 1375 shipped
Same happened to my 140 rfz. Chain popped and locked engine
@@Srt_dion19 how does the chain lock the engine?? Mine rear hub exploded from older and cheaper pitbike and nothing locks, chain just running without rear sprocket.
For the price they aren't to bad but they are made cheap so keep an eye on everything. I bought one for my boy a few years back and we put a bigger front sprocket on it and increased the top end quite a bit as there weren't many hills where he rode. Needless to say it got stolen.
I had the DBX19 which is this size but with a headlight. It was fun and a great bike to learn on. Being brand new I was intimidated to go to a dealership and spend a lot of money on a Japanese name brand. The Apollo was a lot faster than I anticipated. It can go 50 mph and the front wheel will jump up if not careful dumping the clutch. I sold it and got a bigger one now. It’s on the small side for an adult male. Probably perfect size for a teen or a lot of female riders
Agreed but a great bike to learn on
I may end up getting one based off your comment lol! Ever have any issues with it? I’m about to look into them
@@Millerraceway The carburetor sucks so everyone upgrades those.
@@ELIRAXPRT ended up getting a coolster and bought new carb kit
Guys what should I get if I’m noob? I want take some from Amazon around 500-600$ ,just to tide some area in Las Vegas…not “sport” or pro, just for fun , I’m 5.8 and 175 , not sure if x pro 125 is good for me
I got the 150cc version with the 4.9l plastic fuel tank, and the 14" rear wheel and 17 front i think. replaced the carb with a 26mm mukuni. Upgrade the chain, lube the axle bolts... the bike needs going over freqently for head bearing services and wheel bearing replacements. Brakes are easy and fine...parts are abundant and cheap. Change the oil freqently!
I want one, even though I had no previous intentions of having a 2-wheeler
😂😂 it's so much fun
send it bro, practice in the dirt, if you fall at lower speeds with a few pieces of gear on, you'll usually be perfectly ok. I've actually crashed off road with buddies and we had a good laugh over it. People really demonize motorcycles as this hyper dangerous transport, but it's really not much worse than a car, you just have to be extra careful and attentive. Good luck buddy.
really 😐, “a 2 wheeler”

Nope.
lol
Hey thanks for making this video. I want a dirt bike soo bad. Im an excellent tech and have been wanting to get an old 2 stroke that needs the carb rebuilt
amazing to see decent upside down forks, suspension ,disc brakes and a great looking and sounding exhaust on a cheapo bike..
If this were out in the time of the XR75, it would have blown people away LOL. .. the only drawback here is the forward angled cylinder... reminds one of the old honda moped motors, though this one seems alot stronger.
Agreed this thing is impressive for the price. I ride it all the time
I highly suggest aftermarket carb I had one and bogged a good while till I got a new carb that new carb and intake helped a whole lot never had bogging issues and make sure your keeping the bolts tightened up they find to come loose often
I actually bought a new carb at the same time just haven't installed yet since my bike barely ever bogs once it's warm
Loose bolts is a no go for me.. That could get you killed..
A Honda XR150 is like $2k...
And I know Hondas.. I've had a 400EX and a Recon 250.. I've got friends that had XR dirtbikes.. Those things are tanks on 2 wheels.. Ain't never heard of anyone having to lock tite on every bolt on those..
I hear this bolt issue all over this channel and all I picture is the front wheel falling off while doing 50 or 60 and face planting..
"I thought I put lock tite on all the bolts" while you're in the hospital with a broken neck.. It will be that 1 bolt you missed..
No thanks...
Thing sounds like a death trap..
Check out the SSR 150 for a step up from this. It's got a 5 speed, and a nice sound. It's hard to view a 125 as adult bike but i guess this is the same size as a TTR.
Will do. Yeah it really just sits higher than a lot of other comparable bikes so it works well for an adult
@@coreyd7060 at that price might as well get a used name brand bike
@@BannedModz 900$? Good luck.
@@scumfukk on the page he shows it came out to 1,300 and some change
We've had one for couple years now. Actually two, a 90 and 125. I'm blowed away by them overall for the money. Like others said. New carb and little loctite and it's quite the value. Basically Honda 1990s clone I think. They Feel Very similar
What do you have to loctite? And is it required that you do so or can you get away without it?
You just wanna go over the bike after assembly and add blue loctite to bolts that have no locking features, otherwise they will rattle loose. I've specifically noticed the rear sprocket, exhaust to motor, and kick starter bolts loosening up
They make descent bikes, but you should pay attention to assembly. From the factory some wheel spokes may be not tight, as well as the bolts and other things. Pro version is much more durable, has alloy wheels, suspension that can be adjusted and handle big jumps. I was lucky enough to get a good test drive before making a choice. 250 hours of abuse and nothing broke besides the oil radiator, and piston rings were replaced as well. Plastic is super soft and does not brake. Rear suspension need a cover because the mud and sand will destroy it quite fast
Great video 🤙🏻 I’m sold on these, mines gonna be here in a week🎉 can’t wait!
🤘🤘
Hey just saw this!! We have a mower shop and have been selling these for years. We sell them assembled and tested for what you pay shipped in a crate. We have had really good luck out of them over the years. Nibbi carb makes an amazing upgrade for them.
The rfz40 is a 140cc and is a huge upgrade also the z20 is a 125cc and has a much better shock and ride for $100 more.
They make a rzf race bike as well in a 150 and 200 free ride.
Ty so much for making this video I’ll be showing it to our customers :).

I have the same gloves, they are decent for cut resistance, and they don’t get sweaty after long periods of wearing them like others, 10/10 would recommend.
I had a similar one as my first bike, kayo tt 125 which is actually cheaper, hell of a fun. you can not do lots of stuff compared to full sized dirtbike but if you dont have more money of if you want to play it safe it is a good choice, it is basically a Grom of dirtbikes.

26 mm or higher carby is a good upgrade the stock ones way to small air intake wise

Ordered one of these bikes from Amazon around a year ago in green. Also ordered the bigger Mikuni carb, an aftermarket air filter, Pro Taper bars, and some other accessories to make it better, but unfortunately, it was so damaged in shipping that I had to deny delivery and had it sent back. Got the $ of the bike back but am stuck with the aftermarket parts.
That's unfortunate mine was in great shape

Put a Mikuni carburettor on it, as usually these Chinese copies don't have a mixture screw on the carb causing bogging, and depending what kind of energy you're going to put the bike through? I'd definitely change the rear shock, and brake lines..
