      Is the chargepipe supposed to have both of its ethanol/methanol ports sealed or is only the top hole 🕳 supposed to be closed and the bottom one open 🤔 because i ordered mine maybe 4 months ago and top is closed bottom open on my e90 n54 @vrsf

    I love the level of detail you go into in your videos. Especially in your NCS Expert coding ones. While people tell you what you can code with Carly *cough* BMW Fanatic, you actually show how to do it properly. Also you are the only one who shows what can go wrong and the problems you might run into, while everyone else edits it out. Literally the best N54 DIYs on CZcams.

    My 2010 335i with 40k, charge pipe broke. Ordered an OEM replacement charge pipe. Checked out over dozen videos to use as a guide, but I couldn't find a decent video. My car is stock, so I'll have to find a video removing the air filter housing. Found your video and found it to the best video for me. I like the fact that you gave instructions for each step, without rushing. When I heard you give the website for the VRSF charge pipe, I was convinced to purchase the VRSF charge pipe. I returned the OEM part and bought the VRSF pipe. Thank you very much.

My car is completely stock with exception of me just putting some index 12's in with some ngk one step colder plugs and eldor coils. Think I'll be ok for a week or 2 till I can get a vrsf charge pipe on it? I just have the stock charge pipe with 121k miles ?

  • @dduktube
    @dduktube Před rokem

    Does the charge pipe have enough clearance with 2 power steering hoses sitting on the fender? If so, how much?
    I tried different brand and it was very tight! Also PS reservoir would get in the way of the BOV(Tial style).
    Stock charge pipe is narrow at the place where the 2 PS hoses under the pipe. It gives like 1" clearance. Then get bigger after that point.
    But the aftermarket charge pipe is much bigger, and it presses on the said 2 PS hoses.
    I'm afraid that with engine "rotating" at the axis from accel/decel would press on the PS hoses and the force would be transmitted to throttle body and plastic intake manifold. After million times of rotating and hitting the hoses, intake manifold might break at the worst time.
    After initial installation of the charge pipe just sitting there, not only is it touching, it's putting pressure on the pipe/PS hoses already.
    Imagine when under heavy load of sudden accel, it can mean something will break.

    Interesting how everyone installing these aluminum pipes, not even thinking about how good aluminum at absorbing and conducting heat…. In other words you are heating up intake air when using ANY metal in that intake piping after intercooler. So this aluminum pipe will definitely help with with heat soaking:) BMW revised plastic much much less heat conductive charge pipe after 2011 and they easily last 100k or 10 years, so think again before installing aftermarket junk….
