    I swear, this is the best channel on youtube... You are not just teaching hardcore bodyweight trainings, but mindset, stoic view of pain, life obstacles and mental strenght and readiness. Also, you are marine, hard working, disciplined man, and you are sharing all this knowlegde and your experience with others for free. You truly are a great model for people to look up to, and following your routines and videos is not just building a body, but also a spirit. Truly, thank you for everything, Sir.

      It's because he's filling the void in the mind that craves adversity, challenge and initiation. Modern living inadvertently neglects these healthy instincts. We in the West are unfortunately coddled, unfocused and rootless. When living gets so easy, we forget the restorative power of things that are hard. This channel is one of the many ways/symbols to rediscover this catharsis in an age of sleepwalking. END OF SPEECH...pew pew

    I think that Iron Wolf’s channel has the best channel on CZcams to prepare kids like me who want to join the military and not only are the workouts amazing and challenging but he also talks about mindset and other life obstacles that we face every day and Iron Wolf you’re channel is amazing I have been following your workout routine for a week and it definitely exposed some of my mental weakness and I have gotten stronger not only physically but mentally and I hope you keep making videos with this type of content. S.A.: back to your question: I also train judo twice a week. On these days I will train twice: in the morning Iron Wolf training with minimal less reps, in the evening judo. It's gonna be hard, but I see no other way. One possible option is to shift one day and train on Sunday as well, but then you have no recovery day - it's up up you.

      @@s.a.8390 To be honest, it will be too much on those days, but exactly because of that we have to be realistic and reduce the reps, otherwise we won't have power for the martial art training in the evening. No shame if you train twice on these days. See you tomorrow in Rep City, bro! 😉💪🐺

      S. A. Something that will help is to try and give yourself at least 6 hours between workouts, due to various reasons that much time (or more) will allow the body to recover a bit, and make sure that you up your calories on those days (eat more carbs) so you have enough energy.

    Any tips for rucking? Getting ready for leatherneck next summer and my boots are tearing up my feet.

    • @Ophio117
      @Ophio117 Před 4 lety +1

      I did a lot of rucking in the army for many years. There are a lot of little tricks and stuff to keep your feet together. Best tip is boots that fit. Some boots just aren't going to fit your feet right. I love garmont T8s. A lot of guys like rocky s2v, but they just aren't shaped right for my feet. So they are good boots that are just the wrong shape for me. Same with me and merrell, decent boots, wrong shape. So if you're having a lot of trouble, some trial and error with different boots is probably required. Check garandthumb's video here on youtube about boots. Once your boots are good, you can get into the little tips and tricks. First, your feet do get conditioned over time, and some people lean hard into that and build up totally nasty hobbit feet and that carries them through. I always babied my feet a bit with lots of lube and tape, and I had success with that approach. There's a good book called "fixing your feet" you can get on amazon or wherever. Ultrarunners have great tips on foot care as well. Good luck

      @ShouldHaveKnownYT Před 4 lety +1

      Ben Murphy thanks a lot man I’ll look into that. Got a pair of boots that rubs the tops of my feet a little thinking about filing down the leather on the inside a bit and maybe putting some duck tape in there.

      Like with push ups, closer, in imo, is better. It gives you the best mechanical position. Less likely to damage your shoulders

      @@_.alex.- thanks. I usually go pretty close, just wanted to make sure it's not cheating. Never done dips at a park on proper bars, wasnt sure if they are supposed to be a certain distance

      Stretchabilly #goonsquad no problems. Do what feels right and listen to your body. Good luck!

      I think listen to your body is a good answer, but if you need a specific place to begin, 16.5 inches apart is the standard for gymnastics parallel bars, and commercially available dip stations are 18-24 inches apart. Gymnasts often train with a wider grip using either one of the bars or turning at an oblique angle. If you are building a dip station, you can angle the bars so you have a range of grips to choose from. Vince Giranda popularized a very angular type of dip bar that was pretty wide spread for awhile in the 80s-90s. Don't see it as much anymore. If I could guess wolf's answer.. dip with what you got and pay attention to your elbows and shoulders.
