My bird cage is in my kitchen and every time i eat they do sounds because the cage is always closed and covered with my blanket and after i eat i take it off

I've had a cockatiel for about 9 years and i had to move to Florida to live with my husband and his family. His mom leaves the bird in a huge cage outside. My husband says he let's the bird fly around inside every once in a while but I've only seen him do it once..i want to move the cage into our room. And MY family love having my bird flying around all the time because they think the cockatiel is funny. He walks around everywhere. And tries to nibble on paper or a controller, whatever I'm using. But i love playing peek-a-boo with my cockatiel. He's so funny but what worries me is the constant change in temperature. My husband's mom brings the cage in if it's "too hot or cold"

So I have a budgie that I had for a couple of months now and he recently started sneezing with a little wet discharge from his nose and I did the bad decision of searching it up on Google and they said he could be sick or an infection and I'm not quite sure what to do until I can figure out if my vet takes care of birds

when I first went into the pet store I fell in love with the yellow cockatiel but my dad told we had to buy something smaller so I bought a budgie it’s yellow and very hyper it follows everyone is my family just walks behind that’s so cute if I could get the cockatiel I would named it sunshine

My original cocketiel (fawkes) died because by the time he started showing symptoms and we scheduled a vet visit, it was already too late.
