For my conure birb, she bites when I grab her because she thinks I'm going to put her back in the cage and she just loves cuddling and hanging out so when I have to grab her (I make sure to do it gently) I put one finger over her beak and the rest of the hand around her side and the other hand goes under her with fingers curling around her other side to keep her secure. You may be thinking this position is uncomfortable for her, but she actually finds it relaxing.
I lost my bird a few months ago, he was my best friend. I'm getting another parakeet soon and I hope to have the same trust with him that you do with your birds.
Get a baby that's non weened. Feed with a syringe. That bird will bond with you and never ever leave your side and will actually throw a fit when you do go out.
I’m really sorry- can’t imagine losing Bubbles the parakeet. I got him a few weeks ago and can’t even remember what life was like before he became mine. I’m sure that if you miss your bird enough to cry a little then of course your going to be great for your new bird. I wish i could see it! My feathers are to perfect." but my other birb when ever he sees a hat he crawls under it like a tunnel and if i dont uncover his cage the second he wakes up he goes to the bottom of the cage and starts looking under the towel stomping around. LOL

Hi elle, you and your birds are amazing. Can you tell your birds catch the tricks by ones or you have to repeat it long. I have a budgie and he was tamed but he don't came out of his cage
I noticed you didn't try that with your budgies. Mine are not a fan of being grabbed so nail trimming is an adventure. I have learned alot from you videos and continue to learn as much as I can so I can care for my budgies. I wish I could have more birds. I absolutely love birds!
My birbs (have one ducky model and one bluebell model) have v different opinions on the hold. Bluebell model only like finger perching, no grab. Ducky model okay with grab but must have landing gear engaged at all times (like C-hold or ice cream cone). When landing gear disengaged, birb goes into airplane mode and the flappers prevent the hold.
Hi dear. For the first time I got a bird . He is yellow sided conure. He is 2 months old. He jumps on my head and stays there only. How can I play with him. I am little afraid to handle bird. How do you manage with birds poop ?
