We need a part 4! Did Rob ever get the laundry in?
Part 4 🤔 It could just keep on going with how fascinating bees are! 😂 Yep, the basket was promptly returned to its former use 😁
You did what you thought best for the bees. Interesting to see they prefer the other hive. I did enjoy these videos and as for me, editing is not always a good thing. This was natural even though it technically wasnt. Hugs to u, Tillie and the baby
Anything you video is well worth watching
Love it, feels like a special feature on Blue Peter
Greatly informative, inspiring videos, thanks for sharing your knowledge! 😍
I’ve just bought some almonds to grow. Thank you ❤️
Hi Rob, Your videos just keep getting better. This trilogy is no exception. Your friends in Guadeloupe.
Thank you, Michael 🙏🏽😊 I'm glad you think so! 😄
I'd love to move to the UK esp to Somerset or Dorset.
Hi Rob, very excited to see new videos. Love the bees and tour of the Forest Garden. Thanks you!
Bees what 😂 just when you think you have a handle on em 🐝 always a school day with bees, thanks Rob
Thanks Rob glad things worked out in the end. Lovely to see your postings.
That was an interesting trilogy of videos Rob. Glad everything worked out for the bees and you and the washing.
🐝 🍯 🫶 Nature 😊
Rob, I just love your calm energy.
Thank you 🙏🏽😊
at first i didn't like you but then i thought you were pretty funny ahha this video was an adventure
Haha! Thanks for the honesty! 😂 We got there in the end 😁
Great upload 👌
Love a good swarm!
I’ve always thought that bees have excellent abilities to choose a quality home!! 🏠
Exactly, Sam! 😂 They know quality when they see it 👌🏽😉
So nice to see your postings again. Really enjoy your videos😊❤️
Very interesting video Rob
Thank you, Papa 😊
Trying to do it one handed I imagine is not easy 🐝 I tend not to use smoke but in this situation maybe a little for encouragement, interesting to see will they take, good luck Rob 👍
No, not easy 😂 A little smoke would have been beneficial, yes. I always forgot about my smoker! 😄 Part 3 coming up this evening 😉 As soon as the internet signal returns! 📶😆
Good morning Rob! Those bees looked very docile. Are they always like that when they swarm?
Hi Lelleith! Yes, honeybees are almost always docile when they swarm. At least the ones I've dealt with have been anyway 🐝😌🤔
Are they going in a Warre? 🐝🌿
Yes, indeed they are. As will be revealed in part two 🐝😉
Great upload 👌
Hi, what variety of apples did you use please?
Hi Andrew, have you commented on the correct video? 🍏🤔
@@robsdiscovery hi, looked at your cider making video . We have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Somerset, staying in a shepherds hut. Went to see Roger Wilkins and had some of his natural cider. Absolutely fantastic. Was just curious what apples you used please?
How wonderful, Andrew. I'm particularly fond of Roger Wilkins' cider. I seem to remember I used mostly Katy apples with about a third Cornish Aromatics, and a handful of Devonshire Quadrants thrown in for good measure! 🍏😄
@@robsdiscovery Thanks for replying. I am going to have a go at making my own. I live in East Sussex, myself and wife work on fruit farms, and have a variety of apples to choose from. After speaking to Roger, he says he only uses variety’s we have never heard of where we live. So I am going to use a bitter sweet mix and see how it works out.
You're most welcome, Andrew. How very exciting! Let us all know how you get on, if you think of it! All the best 🍏🍺😊
To England, to the English, we love you, never perish
what you do for professional work Rob ?
I've done many, many things throughout my working life. But as of three months ago my main income comes from driving a school bus.
@@robsdiscovery cool, driving Kids is probably cool / are they well-behaved there in England ?
Mostly! 😆
@@robsdiscovery bloody hell, he wants 9 pounds for two ice creams!!!!
Is this comment under the correct video?! 😆 🍦🤔
Ahhh here we go! Something good to watch on CZcams finally 😉😀
Awww, thank you Jasmin 😊
Hi Rob, so nice to see your return. Everthing in the garden is looking lovely.
I MISS THE THEME TUNE ROB
Me too! Unfortunately I can only feature that in the edited videos. At the moment anyway 😊
So beautiful :)
You have returned 🎉 did you remember the name? “Quince” 🌿 I have added Mulberry and Chilean Guava this year never heard you mention either,, do you grow them? Good in a food forest pie 🎶
Hi Rob. It's great to see you again and a glimpse of Tilley 😉. The forest garden is spectacular. I could just roam around it all day eating everything. We still have our little Australian native bees that don't sting, living in the breeze block fence. You can be right near them in the garden and they just swarm around and don't bother you at all. We love them. I am looking forward to any videos you post. It is a full time job being a husband ,father and farmer so whenever you have the time to post I will always watch.
Yayyyyy!! I love your channel! 🌿♥
❤😊...🫱🌻🪿
Snap, Rob - I can’t believe the crops and flowers this year ! Good to see you back again.
eyy! good to see you again, Rob!🤗🍃
Hi Rob it's great to see you in the garden again ..
Great upload, Rob ❤❤❤
Our youngest(17 yrs) daughter loves your channel! So good to see you again!
Lovely to see the garden overflowing with greenery and fruit (the logan berries look great), and smart looking accommodation for everyone: your family, the ducks, chicks and bees! Sad though about the juvenile fox sneaking into your enclosure. I look forward to seeing more videos in the future.
Innkeeping green? or Inky bean green?
In keeping! 😂
I'd love it if there were a colour called "Inky Bean" though 🎨😁
Wonderful to see so much diversity 👍
The forest garden is looking so lush and green. Those blackcurrant s!😊
Not sure how I found this channel tonight at all - had something to do with your mugwort episode, which was very, very entertaining. Your effort is outstanding. Now, it’s way past my bedtime, but I just had to watch another episode. I’m smiling and giggling at you and your dad. Thanks! Looking forward to watching another episode on another day. Congratulations!
Aww, thank you NanceeDroo 🙏🏽 And welcome to Rob's Discovery! 🌳🤗 More videos on the way soon 🤞🏼 Goodnight! 🦉✨
Why do you say they shouldn't be planted with strawberries and tomatoes?
Brassicas don't mix well with strawberries and tomatoes because they have different nutrient needs and can be susceptible to different pests and diseases. Tomatoes & strawberries prefer a slightly acidic soil, while brassicas like cabbage and broccoli prefer alkaline soil. Also, they attract different pests; brassicas can attract cabbage worms and aphids, while tomatoes & strawberries can attract hornworms and whiteflies.
@@robsdiscovery Great info, thank you 😊
Cant get 'gummie bears'🎶 out of my head now....what a blast from the past!😂
Gentlemen, I salute you! A wonderful job and providing a hedge that is attractive, stockproof, and one that will benefit wildlife.
It sure as heck doesn't take three days for my hives to get hot again, I have to keep screen bottoms on so they aren't constantly bearding because of how hot it is in there, of course I'm in Florida lol
Haha, Florida! 🌴 Yep, that'll do it! 🥵😆
@@robsdiscovery So, this is my first year of keeping bees and i just got a couple run of the mill solid bottom Langstroth hives and the poor buggers were hanging out the hive all the time as early as May, so I did some reading and got some screened bottoms and they seem much happier and are building comb a lot quicker, not hanging out on the front porch, however I am curious on how a Warre hive would work here, wondering if I should put a screened bottom on it as well.
@bjornstacy9590 Bees are pretty good at regulating their temperature on the whole, but I don't know 🤔 Give it a go and let us all know! 😊
3:20 Well surely that would never happen.
One would think not! 😆
